"Fast and Loaded", was exactly that, it was a fast paced read, with action, romance and a nemesis

Desmond Keys, a handsome racecar driver , holding the most wins on the circuit has just secured his invitation to the last and final race of the season the Nevada Grand, but he has a small problem.
Well not so small, his chief mechanic and d freind Jose can not attend he has been banned due to an incident the prior year. They need to find a competent mechanic.

Amber Martinez, young garage owner and mechanic extrodanaire needs to draw more business to her garage , she is having a hard time making ends meet; when her father passed and left her the garage he left a good amount of debt, but perhaps their is a light at the end of the tunnel. After watching the races today she heard the reporters asking the winning driver Desmind Keys what he was going to do for a mechanic in Nevada . A light bulb goes off and Ambers mind starts to work out that if she could get a position as a mechanic on a winning team the reputation she gains would carry over to the garage. One computer and a short application later Amber is hoping for the best.

Desmond was not able to get Jose re- admitted to the track so he accepted Jose selection of a mechanic, Jose insisted he was fantastic, but what Jose forgot to tell hm was his new mechanic was a sexy voluptuous women, how the hell is he suppose to concentrate on his car Theresa and the race when he has a hard time not looking at Amber and fantasizing.Never mind how good of a mechanic can she be .
Ambers skills are soon put to the test when Desmond's nemesis Luke tampers with his car and Amber not only fixes it but she has the engine running better and faster than it ever has before.
The attraction between these two grows a sizzles ,and for the first time this playboy of a driver is having feelings he has never had before and desires of long term relationship .
But will his nemesis throw a monkey wrench In it all? Will he win this race , the last one before he calls it quits and moves on to the next adventure in life? Will the secrets these two hold create a rift?

"Fast and Loaded " was a quick read with some intresting characters and an almost love at first site , with a few nuts , bolts and monkey wrenches thrown in to keep it intresting. fun read!

This book was fast and loaded from the start, Desmond Keys has one love and her name Theresa, until Amber Martinez walks into his life. Amber is one of the best car mechanic out there Jose is Desmond's Mechanic guy since he won't be ankle to make it to the big races he tells Desmond he found a great mechanic maybe even better than him, not knowing that it was Amber Sparks start to come undone. Desmond has to win this race he has to beat Luke Chambers another race car driver. I loved, loved, loved this book.

5 loaded stars!!! This book raced right through my heart!!

Desmond is a race car driver and he's used to winning. And not just races... money, women, you get the idea. But he can't seem to win Amber, the auto mechanic he needs help from. She's not usually the type of girl he goes for but there's something about Amber he can't shake. Amber is the best mechanic there is and with her help Desmond can win his big race. And she knows his type... a complete womanizer... and she wants no part of him. Too bad his witty charm seems to get under her skin... are these two complete opposites meant for each other?? Or will he race off without her??

I was not expecting this book to suck me in the way it did!! I loved Desmond and his slutty ways... I mean how can you not... he's quite charming. And Amber is the perfect balance to his, which makes their story to fun to read! I was definitely hooked the minute I started reading and you will be too!!

I've always had a thing for good looking racing drivers, so to finally have a great book about one in a fabulous love story was brilliant .
I loved this book and the passion between the two main characters. A must read for those that are wondering 💕

Fast & Loaded was one of Roxy's lighter reads, but really enjoyable. Desmond is a racer about to enter his last ever race, but there's a hitch: his beloved mechanic has been banned from that venue, so he needs a new mechanic. Enter Amber, someone Desmond's mechanic, Jose, knows and recommends for the job. When Desmond and Amber meet, sparks fly. Desmond is a little chauvinistic at first, not believing a beautiful woman can be a great mechanic. But Amber certainly puts him in his place!

There are surprises on the road to Desmond and Amber's journey, namely Luke, Desmond's competitor, a dirty competitor at that. Luke does everything he can to beat Desmond, including sabotage Desmond's beloved car, Theresa. But Amber and Desmond are able to work things out, even though Desmond lashes out at her. That was the only thing I didn't like about Fast & Loaded, when the chips were down, Desmond lashed out at Amber, in a really immature fit, and Amber didn't do much about it. Sure, Desmond eventually apologized, but Amber was really too easy on him about it. But, all in all, Desmond and Amber were good together, and really sweet.

Desmond is a race car driver at his last race in Nevada. His regular, dependable mechanic has been banned from this particular speedway. So he needs a good mechanic. To his surprise, that mechanic is Amber, a beautiful woman that is out to save her father's business from bankruptcy. Interesting conversation when they first meet and Desmond is sure she is a mistake. But she quickly puts him in his place. Together they become a solid team working through the threats and challenges from his strongest, jealous competitor, Luke. Luke seeks his revenge by any underhanded way possible. This is a clean, light romance with a charismatic race driver and a feisty, outspoken female mechanic. Enjoyable reading experience and I recommend it to romance lovers of hot couples and fast cars. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Four stars.

This was a different kind of book for me. I enjoyed the fast pace of the story line. Desmond and Amber are opposites, but between these two, they produce a whole lot of heat. Desmond is a racecar driver and Amber is the best mechanic around. Amber was my favorite; so feisty, smart, strong willed, and a take no shit kind of woman. I guess you would have to be, living in a man’s world. When Desmond’s mechanic was unable to attend a race, Amber filled in, giving Desmond way more than he bargained for. My favorite part of the book was how playful Desmond and Amber were with each other; their relationship had their ups and downs, but fate steered them in the right direction. I would recommend this book for those who like a good, fast paced romance.

4 star Excellent contemporary racing romance that includes intrigue and suspense. Desmond is a race car driver trying to reach the top just this once. He loves his car and named her Theresa. His head mechanic has been banned from attending the major race so they have to find the best mechanic. Martinez garage is considered the best so they get hired by Desmonds team. Turns out Amber is Martinez, her father died and she needs the PR to get more work for the garage to save it. The minute Desmond and Amber meet there is a spark but Amber has to prove herself in an almost exclusive mens/boys club of racing. Someone is out to stop them from winning anyway they have to. I received a free copy of this book solely in exchange for an honest opinion. I look forward to reading more of Ms Sinclaire's books in the future.

Desmond Keys is an arrogant playboy race car driver with a big secret he's hiding,Amber Martinez is a beautiful fantastic mechanic who definitely knows what's going on under the bonnet of a car she learned everything from her dad, she inherited his garage when he passed along with the debts she signs up to be a mechanic for professional race car drivers after being highly recommended Amber meets Desmond and the sparks fly. She puts him in his place and the chemistry between them is hot she tries to keep it professional but.........
Everything is going well but you always have a bad guy Luke Chambers he is jealous and decides to throw a spanner in the works literally. I read this book in one go as I didn't want to put it down.
Desmond and Ambers banter is brilliant..........

Oh wow.....sparks flying, adrenaline rush and that's only from the car race.
When Desmond Keys needs help on his car "Theresa", his new mechanic is not what he seems....he is a she.......Amber Martinez!!! Oh wow.
Amber needs this job to help with publicity for her father's, now her garage. What she didn't expect was to see how hot and sexy Desmond Keys is in the flesh. But there are even bigger problems on the horizon ....named Luke, another driver.
A story of lies, cheats, fast paced races, adrenaline rush and so much more. I am not usually into car racing but this kept me riveted all the way through.

Love this sports romance. Great couple! Amber is a great character, very independent, struggling to keep her father's dream shop alive coupled with her love of working as a mechanic, she has the drive but since being a mechanic is considered a "man's world" she can't get the business needed to keep the shop afloat. In a last ditch effort she applies for a job with #1 car racer, Desmond. Desmond is filthy rich, he just loves driving fast but there is an enemy in the racing camp that will do anything necessary to win. These two pair up well in all areas :) and soon discover that as long as they have each other, they can overcome their obstacles. Story flows well, I couldn't put it down!!

This is not your typical racing story. Desmond is the driver headed to the Grand Nevada Cross-State race and needs a mechanic. Amber is the mechanic trying to save the shop her dad left when he died. When they meet sparks fly and after a bit they give in to the attraction. But there is drama surrounding them in the form of Luke, another driver, who has it out for Desmond. When the going gets tough and it's looking like them finishing the race isn't going to happen Amber will stop at nothing to make sure Desmond gets to live his dream. Another great book by Roxy Sinclaire. Desmond is a Cocky Racers Car Driver and Amber is a Fiery Mechanic. He only needed a mechanic for this one race and this could be Ambers only chance to save her fathers shop. What she doesn't expect is to be so attracted to Him. He can have any girl he wants but when he sees Amber he cant think of anyone else. When they cant deny to attraction they cross the line, but can Amber get the guy and save the shop.... Great plot and characters. Just enough Drama.

Amber is a auto mechanic that had inherited her Dad's shop when he died of cancer. It is located in a small town and more cash flow is going out than in and the bank is threatening foreclosure. In a last ditch effort she applies to be a head mechanic in a race in Nevada to bring in extra cash and publicity. Desmond is a racecar driver and owner, this Nevada race is his last until he retires from racing, but his head mechanic has been barred from races in Nevada. What is hotter than a racer and his mechanic? Nothing, at least in this story there isn't. A female mechanic that knows her craft better than most men. A racer that thinks he is a gift to all women.

This was one intense story. It had all the twists and turns. You had your jealous racers. The men have to always one up each other.

You see some growth in both characters, they don't stay stuck in their ways.

I really enjoyed reading this book. Desmond is the typical bad boy racer and Amber is not your typical woman. I loved that she was the mechanic that worked on Desmonds team. She's unlike anyone he's met and is drawn to her. Fast paced wild ride.
