Six Weeks of Seduction: La Petite Mort Club, Book 3

Rate this book
It’s been four months since Nick has been with a woman.

One hundred and twenty days since he’s touched Sarah, tasted her, felt her heat wrapped around him, but tonight his abstinence will end. Tonight, she’ll come to La Petite Mort Club and they’ll resume their passionate affair.

Except she doesn’t show up—no phone call, no letter, no nothing. It isn’t possible that she doesn’t want him. She was as hot for him as he was for her. He needs to find her and show her that she wants him as much as he wants her. Then he needs to f*** her and forget her.

Sarah would love to see Nick again, but guys like him don’t wait four months for any woman. There is no way he’ll still want to see her, and she isn’t going to allow herself to be humiliated and hurt again. Nope. They’d had their fun, but it was over. Done. Completed.

When they meet again, Sarah sees it as one bonus night of fabulous sex, but for Nick, one night with Sarah will never be enough. Can Nick prove to her that he is exactly the kind of guy she needs, or will Sarah’s past cause them to both lose their chance at true happiness?

This steamy second-chance, new-adult romantic comedy continues Nick and Sarah’s story that started with Six Nights of Sin . Playboy Nick is ready to resume his relationship with Sarah. She’s not sure that she’s strong enough to survive another relationship, because when they end, it’s so bad. This book is funny, poignant, and super steamy, with adult material that is suitable for those over 18.

This book ends with an HEA.

Graphic, intense, erotic story of Nick and Sarah as they both struggled to keep themselves from committing to each other. After four months of celibacy, Nick is certain Sarah will show up to resume their physical relationship. When she doesn’t show, he becomes obsessed with getting over her. Convinced he is obsessing because he needs to be the one to walk away, he bullies himself into her life. Sarah pulled away from Nick for the opposite reason. She’s fallen for him, but knows he doesn’t feel the same way. UnwillIng to cheapen herself or be hurt by Nick she tries to walk away.

Full of intense chemistry and graphic raw scenes, it was also oddly sweet and romantic as Nick finally realizes the depth of his feelings for Sarah.

Great story!

This sequel had me worried several times throughout the book, wondering if they really could make their relationship work. Lots of drama, lots of lies, and tons of seduction. A great read!

way to much sex focus

Realizing this is an erotic book, there still is way too much sex focus. Story would have been so much better without more then half those scenes. A book has a story and sex is not the story. My opinion.

A bit too long for me.

OMG, I thought I'd never get to the end. It is a story that requires the patience of a saint to read and digest. The problem I found was the the constant repeat of the same spicey scenes, over and over, as well as trying to determine if Sarah was actually crazy as a loon. I felt really sorry for Nick, even though he could be an ass at times. It does end abruptly (finally) with an HEA, though, so I guess I can forgive Ms. Day for the l-o-n-g trip to get there.

It's been a few years since I first read her writing, and I have to say that the stories I read then were, for me, a lot more exciting and hotter. This one just didn't do it for me.

story of nick and sarah

i liked that it was told by both points of view.

this book had some good point but a lot of strange points for me.

The guy that ran the sex club was nice with Sarah but when he was with nick he sounded like a wannabe pimp bragging about his sexual prowess at finding and breaking in girls to work in his sex club. YUCK!

nick was all over the place went from causally hooking up with randoms at the sex club to getting emotional over Sarah and promising extended celibacy.

I didn't like the whole strict contact around their relationship and that they would pick and choose what parts to follow. There was to be no private talk between parties but Nick encouraged Sarah to break that part, but then they followed the no contact for four months part of the contact? why would that even be part of the contract? Why did they even need a contract made up by the club they could have come up with an arrangement between themselves.

You learned so much about Sarah's back story and not really anything about Nick.

Sarah seemed like a bit of a doormat. Why was she still in love with her cheating ex she should have been mad not sad. And why was she having anything to do with the women who his ex left her for.

After the four months she wouldn't even send the letter in case he didn't also send one, didn't even want to try. I would rather read a book with a strong female character then a weak one with no self esteem feeling sorry for her self. very negative.

I don't understand why Sarah would explain her whole sad story but refuse to talk about her dog?

If the dog was still suffering such bad PTSD so much later it kinda feels like the dog is being tortured it might have been kinder to put the dog down as sad as that is.

was good but had some weird writing choices.

Can Sarah give Nick what he needs
This is my 7th book by the author and I couldn’t wait to read the rest of Nick and Sarah’s story. Nick is besides himself after waiting 4 months for Sarah to not have her turn up at the club or even send a letter. Sarah doesn’t want to be hurt by Nick with his playboy past. Nick pressures his friends to help him and finally gets a tip on where to find Sarah. When they meet at an event where Sarah is receiving a large donation to her company, things get very hot between them. But Sarah lets Nick misconstrue her date for the night which continues to make Nick hot-tempered about Sarah’s ambivalence about their future. Nick refuses to give up and works his way into Sarah’s and her dog’s lives. Will Sarah ever let Nick in on her past so they can have a future? You have to read to find out and will definitely be turning the pages to see what Nick will do next.

Sarah and Nick belong together and both know it, but neither is willing to admit it for different yet similar reasons.
Can Nick persuade Sarah to let him see her for six weeks? Can she stand to see him when she thinks she'll be broken-hearted at the end of it? And will they learn to trust one another?
Both of these sets of stories are well worth reading whether you like sexy and steamy or just a good romance. Excellent characterisation, loads of angst and humour, and a solid story-line makes these more than your average erotic novel.

This is the sequel to Six Nights of Sin, and if you haven’t read that yet, you don’t want to start here, you want to read it first. It’s definitely not a stand alone. After their 6 week contract at La Petite Mort, Sarah and Nick have had a 4 month cooling off period, after which they can, if they want to, have the club put them in contact with each other again. The book begins at the end of those 4 months. Nick arrives at the deadline, sure Sarah will want to get together again, and when she doesn’t show up, he is incensed and hunts her down. At which point they both behave stupidly. He sees her with her brother-in-law, and assumes it’s her boyfriend. She refuses to disabuse him of this erroneous assumption because she assumes he has been sleeping around during the 4 months, and doesn’t want him to think she was sitting around pining for him, so he refuses to tell her that he hasn’t slept with anyone else since he met her, because he’s not willing to admit that he was faithful if he thinks she wasn’t. Nick is rather of a narcissistic a-hole, although a nice one (if you can accept that concept), or at least one capable of personal growth, and Sarah is seriously emotionally messed up and in need of therapy, which she is unwilling to try. But they are both seriously hot for each other, and personal growth is definitely on the agenda. They spend 6 weeks struggling with their issues, and get to an HEA, or at least an HFN, since more personal growth will be required to get to the true HEA. The book grapples with trust issues, PTSD in humans and animals, and nods to the problem of animal shelters with kill dates (be warned), although all endangered dogs at the shelter in this book are rescued on the day our characters visit it. All while presenting some really hot BDSM and sexy role play scenes. Sarah and Nick can be infuriating, both to each other and to readers, but so much dip in too, and you are rooting for them to make it work, all the while wishing they would just tell each other the truth. There are some very funny bits, particularly when Nick’s friends at La Petite Mort are teasing him about his relationship. All in all a fun book, if at times frustrating because you just want to kick both of them in the rear and make them sit down and talk. Read it, you won’t be sorry.

Overall I did enjoy this along with book #1, Six Nights Of Sin, The Complete Series. Both books were a solid 3.5 stars with likeable characters, decent writing and an entertaining plot. I did find myself skimming over some of the sex scenes as I was more invested in the story and whether/how Nick and Sarah reached their HEA.

Positives are that I read both books over one day (I was on holiday so had the time to do that!), which shows how captivated I was by the story. Despite her background I still liked Sarah, she was a woman with mental health issues/PTSD but she was determined to overcome this. I liked Nick, he was perfectly, irritably human in his actions and reactions, he certainly cared for Sarah, even changing his man-whorish ways for her. I appreciated that Sarah didn't become a pushover in Nick's presence and that she retained her personality with him. Best of all was that she sought proper bona fide medical treatment for her issues rather than being cured by the love of a good man!

Given that this didn't get 5 stars, clearly, there were some negatives for me, and the main one - which came to light in book #1 so perhaps it's unfair to mention it here but it still coloured my enjoyent - was how long Sarah had held a torch for Adam. Had they met and stayed together through college, with Adam joining the Army after that I would have (a) believed in the strength of her feelings more and (b) the time she'd spent pining for a cheating ex wouldn't have been so unbelievably long. The other improvement for me would have been to have gotten to know more about Nick, his background and his life in general. He never felt as fully fleshed out like Sarah and it made it more difficult to connect to him at times.

Despite that, I did enjoy the two books and would recommend them if you want a spicy hot erotic romance to read.

They had had a contract for six weeks through the club and then it ended. It's been four months. They agreed they would wait on each other for a decision. Sarah had waited 120 days. She hadn't seen or been with anyone. As a matter of fact, she often experienced panic attacks from being in crowds or around people who looked at her with pity. She was scared to see or make a new contract with Nick. He admitted he usually became bored with the same woman after 30 days and she was already head over heals about him.
Nick was admittedly a Dom who needed control. He bored easily and didn't become emotionally involved with the women he met at the club or had a contract with. It was just sex. But there was something about Sarah he couldn't shake from his system. He had to have her, she was his, he knew she wanted him as well. He's angry whey he sees her with another man. He's waited 120 days to find and be with her and all the while he's waited with just his memories and hand, she's been seeing someone else. In his mind, he'll use her until he can get her out of his system. But will that be enough?
Put two people who are so physically attracted to each other a slight breeze will bring those overwhelming feelings to the surface and watch what happens. Now add the fact they're both insecure about anything more than the physical. This is one HOT storyline with characters that seam together flawlessly.

4 1/2 STARS! Full length book three of La Petite Mort Club series. Can be read as stand-alone but I highly recommend reading Six Nights of Sin The Complete Series first (but not necessary to read The Voyeur first - it has different main characters). Nick and Sarah's relationship begins in Six Nights of Sin and Six Weeks of Seduction is the continuation of their story. Nick is an alpha who is used to getting his own way. Sarah is afraid that once she gives in to Nick he will lose interest in her. There is a lot of angst and lack of communication leading to misunderstandings. They have a lot to work thought, but their story is well told and I'm glad they finally get their HEA. I loved the steamy times and the work they both put into making their relationship work. I hope there are more books in the future with the secondary characters from the club!!

“Six Weeks of Seduction” was such a great continuation of Sarah and Nick’s story. After reading the Six Nights of Sin short stories, I became completely obsessed with their relationship, so I was really looking forward to this book, and it did not disappoint.

I loved the representation of mental health and the care the author put into handling it. It added so much depth to their characters and made their love story feel even more genuine. Their fantasies were beautiful, intimate, and such a strong part of their connection.

The only thing that got a bit frustrating for me was the lack of communication between them. I understood it more from Sarah’s side, but not as much from Nick, which made it feel a little repetitive at times.

But even with that, it was still such a good read, and a lovely, emotional conclusion to their story.

WoW

I read the beginning of Nick and Sarah's Story in Six Nights of Seduction. From their first encounter, their chemistry was explosive! I loved how she stood her ground and didn't let him control all of their nights together. It didn't take Sarah and Nick long to figure out they wanted to be together but Sarah had trust issues. Should she have been honest with Nick from the beginning? I think so. Should he have been honest with her, again yes. But he didn't know about her trust issues. I loved reading their story and so happy she got the help she needs. And WOW, the games were super HOT!! Had to fan myself everytime🤭🤭🤭. I would definitely recommend this series to anyone wanting to read a good romance with a with lots of naughty scenes🤭🤭🤭

One caveat

This was fun, hot, and surprisingly deep emotionally.

But I do need to call out one problem: heavy drinking and kink don't mix. There's no way to ensure the scene stays safe, sane, and consensual if either party is chemically impaired. Play parties I have been to have been strictly sober for that reason; clubs I have been to have either stuck to selling soft drinks and water, or enforced a 1 or 2 drink limit for anyone intending to scene. If, as in the suspension scene in this book, either "needs" a drink or several to be able to handle it, then clearly they should not do that scene. Given that this is not a paranormal fantasy but is presented as real, I feel it is irresponsible to show the characters drinking so heavily before engaging in kink.

Fantastic!!!!

I absolutely loved everything about this story!!!! I got the first part free and loved their story SO MUCH that as soon as I finished that book, I immediately bought the ending to Nick and Sarah's story! Nevermind that I couldn't put the book down and wound up not going to sleep until the wee hours of the morning-lol. The complete work was a page turning and I couldn't get enough until the end. I HIGHLY recommend this book if you're looking for a well written erotic love story that involves an alpha male and a strong independent woman that needed to remember her worth and strength.

From the start of this book, there were several obstacles to Nick and Sarah having a relationship - Sarah's PTSD, Ethan's rule of not disclosing a person's name/address without their permission, and neither would Patrick or his employee, Hunter, help Nick find Sarah.

I just loved so much about this story - the relationship among the male friends, the humor, seeing an alpha male totally lose himself to a woman he's fallen in love with, Sarah's confidence in her sexuality even though she was dealing with her PTSD issues, and the lengths Nick was ready to go to win over Sarah, including trying to win over Tank (Sarah's dog). This was one of those books I was sad to see end.

4.5 stars. I loved getting to know more about Nick and Sarah since I first read about them in Six Nights Of Sin. The struggles that Sarah was going through felt real fact that all Nick had to do was show up for her to help her get past it made him even more endearing to me. I docked half a star because while the storyline was really good, the lack of reaction to unexpected knowledge made it unconvincing. Like when Nick mentions Dr Smileworth and Sarah responds like it’s general knowledge even though she’s never mentioned the shrink to him before.

I look forward to continuing their story in Playing House.

it was nice seeing this couple again...but i got to admit that i was getting annoyed by Sarah.

She not only kept Nick at arms length emotionally, but also didn´t seem to trust him. For her it was over before it even began. And Nick had he´s faults too, he was pushy at times, and got very easily side tracked by sex. But he trully cared for Sarah and all his emotions were a result of Sarah not trusting him.

I was glad how the author managed Sarah´s PTSD and the way the onversations with the Dr Sarah was seing were portrayed.

This is a continuation of Nick and Sarah's storyline from the Six Nights of Sin Series. OH MY, This book is Hotter than a ghost pepper. It is steamy but it does have a storyline and it talks about matters of grave importance. PTSD, animal rights, and service animals. Do you need to have read the first book to understand and follow along with this one? No, BUT I will say you will enjoy this book so much more if you do. If you like a hot, sexy read with an Alpha male and a female who can hold her own at times this is the book for you.

I am in heaven! This book was amazing, hot, sexy and right down my alley. Nick and Sarah are phenomenal together and oooh those 'scenes' my heart is still palpitating. Love this book so I will be drooling by the last book. Love the characters and storyline. I tend not to give away the book detail for detail. It is best to take my opinion...if you are interested in bdsm this book is great. I like bdsm but not hard core or more on the S/m side. Great mix of love and D/s. Think you may like as well.

So much more than I expected!

Deep passion and lots of steam! I love good suspense. This wasn’t the mystery or thriller novel kind of suspense, but the delicious suspense of kind of knowing what they felt for each other and sitting in the edge of your seat waiting for the moment you can exhale with them. Ellis let’s you into the kind and heart of the characters as they wrestle with themselves and each other as they come to grips with what they truly mean to each other. There are moments of “what the…” and moments or “Yes!” and everything in between. A lot of that in between is a lot of face fanning heat. Nick and Sarah are intensely beautiful.

After read the first set of Nick and Sarah's books, I immediately jumped into these books. And while I enjoyed the story overall, and like that they got their HEA, this story kind of made me hate Sarah. I realize she was struggling with mental health issues but she really sucked in this. If I was Nick there is zero way I would have forgiven her for all the lies. The whole relationship these two had was built on lies and deceit and it just didn't sit well with me. The smut was super hot though so that was a plus!

I so enjoy a longer read that is so hot and leads to a very happy ending.

Ellis O. Day is a talented writer who seems to enjoy teasing her readers with short vignettes that are good but, drive me crazy! I much prefer a lengthier read where characters are developed and scenes can be fully brought out. This book is quality, the settings real and the themes awesome. Yes it is not my favorite trope but for straight readers this should really make their hearts sing, it did mine and I prefer women!

I absolute loved this book, I had enjoyed the first one, but this was so much better. There was humour, sadness, absolutely amazing hot sex and finally a happy ending for Nick and Sarah. There were times when I laughed out loud and a couple of times I had tears in my eyes, but I loved every word. It has been a while since I enjoyed a book so much, in fact I couldn't put it down and had to read it in one go. The only thing left outstanding was, did Cassie and Peter go to La Petite Morte?

Sarah set up a contract for sex, one night a week and one hour a week mid week. She does not expect anything but sex.
Nick takes her contract he is not sure why he is so attracted to her, after all he has sex everyday as often as he wants with whoever he wants.
They are good together, join them as they explore their sealing at LA Petite Mort Club.

I am only going to write a review for this one, but I did read the rest of the series. Was the smut great? Yes. Was the writing awful? Absolutely. This series was a reminder of how much I DESPISE the miscommunication trope. Normally I'm all for a slightly controlling and dominating MMC, but man... this guy was just not good with having adult conversation. The plot could've been great, but the books were very short so it didn't dive much into that.

Sarah has fallen hard for Nick, but thinks that he could never be a man satisfied by one woman. Nick is in love with Sarah, he knows she has secrets that she is not yet sharing. After the four month separation, they agree to six weeks together to see if they still have feelings. If these two would just sit down and talk………. I love Nick’s friends and the advice they offer him. Looking forward to the next book.

Thank you Ellis O'Day for the ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own. WOW and WOW again. This is the sequel to "Six Nights of Seduction". What a great story. This is a wonderful continuation. I want to meet a "Nick". This novel goes into how much he really cares for Sarah and what a man who loves will do for a woman. Please read Six Nights first but do NOT miss reading this wonderful love story. Cannot wait to read the next chapter...

I loved this book. It was certainly fun to watch Nick, an overbearing Alpha male, try to take over Sarah who even though hurt and vulnerable has an independent core. You can't help but fall in love with them and Tank too.
Nice to see lots of interaction between the characters to flesh out a full story.
Some very steamy and intimate scenes are delivered with Ms Day's usual aplomb.
