I naturally loved English and Literature at school and pursued both successfully in further education etc. Over the years, I have written many different works from short stories to novellas and covered genres such as science fiction, historical adventure, horror and mysteries. More recently, I began to write three-act plays based on favourite series which eventually led to developing my own, 'The Armchair Detective'. My aim was to create an unique, absorbing and fun mystery series. 'Armchair Detective' titles have been as high as No. 2 in Amazon Kindle's British Detectives and Drama (British & Irish) catagories and inside the top-selling 7,000 in the USA and inside the top-selling 550 in the UK 'The Armchair Detective' has been broadcast on the radio, as full-cast audio dramas, in the United States as a Shoestring Radio Production. I have also created, developed and written 'The Novella Range', Classic Scripts and 'The Engine Series' as well as writing the popular 'The Holmes and Watson Series'.
The Armchair Detective... solving mysteries from the armchair since October 2010.
I felt like this play was sponsored by the Handsome Cab Co.
Besides the constant mention of the Handsome Cab Company throughout the first part of the production, I enjoyed this Script. It was my favorite of the Script series by Ian Shimwell. It wraps up the whole Script storyline. Throughout the entire series, and in particular this last one the author alludes to various Sherlock adventures, and at the end of this Script Watson and Holmes recount how this adventure was similar to all their other adventures (Rathbone & Bruce).
Overall this was by far the best of the series, lots of returning characters to tie up all the loose ends, Excellent storyline, lots of cameos from characters for the classic films as well. I must mention I was a little confused to hear Yellow submarine being sung in the background in the pub scene. A good one.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
It wasn’t until this last chapter that I realized I already had the complete series in one audiobook ha ha. Just as good as the first time I listened to it. Definitely recommend.
A crime spree has hit all of London and Holmes has been asked to help stop it. As he digs into it the clues all seem to include people from his past. Lots of twists and turns with a surprise ending. A fun read.
This is unlike any other version of Sherlock Holmes that I've ever read before as it reads more like a script. It was enjoyable, but it was nothing spectacular.
