Welcome to Stargaze, home to a secret community of friendly zombies—or are they?
The Fall Gala is the crown jewel of the festival season in Stargaze, and Addie can hardly wait to help Aunt Kate host a charity tea and attend a fancy dinner with her not-quite-boyfriend, Bennett.
But when the MC of the Gala turns up dead, Addie begins to uncover a plot to expose the secret supernatural community that includes her aunt and new friend Marvin.
If that happens, the special local magic that gives Addie her psychic abilities and keeps her aunt alive will disappear forever.
Now the race is on to find the true killer before the crooked police chief manages to pin the murder on innocent zombies and destroy the magic of Stargaze.
Bergamot and Brains by Thora Bluestone is a fun, clean, magical cozy mystery. Brew a cup of your favorite tea, and come along to the mountain town of Stargaze, where supernatural abilities and mysteries abound . . .

I quite enjoy this series, and this latest is no exception. Addie is on a new case that involves the Shamblers and their way of life: the sheriff wants to out them which would destroy them. While I knew almost from the beginning who the “bad” guy was, it’s the characters that make this such a fun series. Addie, Chelsea, Aunt Kate, etc. are so much fun and unique. Add to that, in this latest, we find out more information about the town, its supernaturals, and what is unique about this lovely town. I can’t wait to see what comes next in this fun and interesting universe that the author has created. Recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
From the being to the end alot of magic in all forms and people in all walks of life. This set of stories is a must to read for you go on the journey with all of them.I would like to say thank you for all your hard work and may fortune smile on you always 😁from a bookworm
Love this series. Not terribly difficult to pick out the guilty, but still a fun adventure. Also a slow burn romance. And of course the expanding group of magical people. Can't wait for the next one.
Like all four books in this series, this is a fun, well-written, light read and not much mystery. I quickly figured out that any new characters introduced are expendable (think Star Trek red shirts) or the baddie. I wish the author would had flesh-out some of the other main characters (Bennett, for example). That said, I would definitely read any new titles Thora Bluestone writes.
