“I wanted you, Lix. I don’t think I even knew how much. I wanted to see that cute smile of yours every day for the rest of my life. I wanted you to make my ears bleed with your truly awful singing until I got old enough to turn my hearing aids down. I wanted to be the person who was there after you got tired of everyone else. I still want all those things, puppy.”
Sometimes all you need is one of those books that will break you out of your head for a few hours and offer a really nice relaxing time, like a no thoughts just vibes situation and daddy kink books almost always do that for me. And yesterday my bestfriend informed me that this book just came out, and I read the blurb and just had to read it. Because friends to lovers and daddy kink just so happen to be my two favourite things to read about in books. I randomly started reading this book at 3 am before I went to bed yesterday, and next thing I knew it was closer to 7 am and I hadn’t went to bed yet, but I had read an entire book, so thats a win in my book. I have read about 2 books in the entire month of august and it took me about 2 weeks to finish each of them, just because I have been in the worst reading slump of my life and I just can’t get into any book no matter how hard I try. So me finishing this book in one sitting really shows how much I was into this book, as that hasn’t happened to me in months. I haven’t been able to find a book that would work for me and allow me to lost myself into it during the last few months, but i’m so happy to report that this one finally did it.
I can’t really explain to you how special this book is to me, but I have been very desperate to find any book that would work for me and that I would want to continue on reading instead of putting them down after a few chapters, and the fact that this book did that for me just means the world to me. I was really losing faith that I would ever enjoy a book again due to how bad my slump was, so I am just so happy that I enjoyed reading this book as much as I did.
Brief Summary
Saxon and Felix have been best friends for 13 years. They both have been pining romantically for each other for a while but they never acted on it. But this all changes when Felix finds out the caming videos that Saxon does, and they fall in love after that.
I cannot even begin to explain to you how much I love friends to lovers. It’s my absoljte favourite trope in books and I will read most books that has it. I’m just really obsessed with this trope, but it’s not often that the trope really hits right for me because I much prefer it when it truly feels like the characters are best friends and know everything about each other and this book just really nailed that for me. You could see how strong Felix and Saxon’s friendship is through their every interaction. Everything they did was dripping in knowlege about each other that only comes from knowing someone for many years, expecially their banter and how they interacted with each other. You could tell that they truly knew everything about each other and how the other works and it just really worked for me. I loved how this book truly made me believe that these two were the best of friends from the first page. This part of the book just really enhanced the reading experience for me and I loved reading it. Because they had been best friends for years and knew everything about each other, I found that all of their interactions were super fun to read and you could tell how well these two work together just by how they interact with each other. Their energies just really balanced each other so well and made them a super fun pair to be reading about.
Felix and Saxon were already super close and had such a good friendship, that they were already almost relationship already, so the transition between friendship to love was really easy and seamless for them and I just adored reading all about that.
I think it’s clear from everything else I said but I just adored the romance in this one. I cannot even try to tell you how many parts of this book just had me. I found myself grinning while reading scenes in this book, very often might I add. The romance in this one just really worked for me. I loved how their friendship turned into love, but also I just really loved how well they knew each other and how they did everything for each other. I loved how they just wanted to be there for each other and take care of each other. I loved how they stuck together no matter what and leaned on each other for everything. I could feel the love that these two characters have for each other through every scene in this book and it was an absolute delight to read.
I would live in a damn trash can like Oscar the Grouch if that’s where Felix was.
Now we must talk about the daddy kink part of this book, because oh my god it was delightful. Not only was this book really hot, but I just adored the dynamic in this one. Saxon was a super caring daddy that just wants to take care of his boy and give him everything he wants and Felix loved to be taken care of and to be his daddy’s property. They just really balanced each other so well and I loved how their dynamic was shown. If you know me, you’d me that my favourite part of books is people who love each other taking care of each other and this one just really nailed that and their dynamic just really worked for me because of that.
Also, on top of everything else, this book is really fucking hot, which is also very important to me.
I really hope that my review did this one justice because there is just something really special about this book for me. This book just really worked for me in a way that any other book hasn’t since july and that really matters to me. I really would like to thank this book for being the one to finally make me enjoy a book again, I really needed this.

Honestly I didn’t had high expectations for this one but I was positively surprised!
Daddy cam was a lot more wholesome that I thought it would be.
it was sweet,sexy,kinky and had a lots of pinning but also a bit angst, everything was perfectly outbalanced.
Felix and Saxon have been best friends(and roommates) since the moment they met one a random night were Felix was drunk.
It was clear (to the reader) that both had a mutual attraction towards each other, but neither made a move on the other in order to keep things good and not to endanger their friendship.
I enjoyed it so much, It was exactly what I was looking for 🤍

It was enjoyable, though there was an excessive amount of foreshadowing surrounding the supposed secret crush, which somewhat makes it meh. The hints are all over the place and the way Felix keeps “accidentally” calls Saxon Saxy or Daddy just threw it off. This was marketed as friends to lovers, but it didn’t feel like one. I like the book, it was hot and writing was great and entertaining. Wish it’s focused more in the romance than the kink (not that the kink was bad). I just couldn’t enjoy this and finish it faster coz I’m in a slow mood and slumpy.

Saxon is afraid of commitment and has never seen himself having a long-term relationship, because he's grown-up watching relationships crumble around him. He never wants to lose Felix and what they have so they continue as normal day in and day out.
Once Felix's secretary gives him a massive nudge where he finds Saxon's Daddy Cam page, well little Felix is just downright naughty and confused after that. He just can't help himself with watching the videos and then buying a toy from the site. Guess who walks in on him while using his new toy, oh yeah you guessed it, Saxon! Everything changes after that moment and the floodgates of emotions and wants are set free. They are sickly sweet with each other all the way around and it's cute. Considering that they were not really doing pet play, I have no idea why Saxon decided to start calling Felix "Puppy" so that irked me a bit. Even after getting together Saxon is still scared that he could end up screwing everything up and losing Felix. That man would not get out of his own head and lead to some miscommunications that stressed Felix out. They get it together and basically just screw for the rest of the book and the whole Daddy Cam thing falls to the wayside.

DADDY CAM was an enjoyable romance with Neuhold's classic low angst, high heat, and MCs who are basically idiots in love who just don't know it yet. It was an easy read and I liked both Felix and Saxon and their friendship was very sweet. The way Saxon was always taking care of Felix definitely had me swooning.

This is a quality best friends to lovers Daddy kink MM romance . I loved Felix 🥰 he's sweet, clumsy, and kindhearted . I loved that him and Saxon were already living a Dom/sub lifestyle just without the sex aspect. I saw some reviews that said it was medium steam but hello solo pleasure is just as steamy as sex between the MCs, especially in this one. Saxon recording his Daddy Cam videos is 🥵 and Felix watching them just as hot. When they do take their friendship to more thanks to Saxon walking in on Felix, the intimacy is delicious . Daddy/Boy with impact play, being used like a sex toy, caretaking , communication , and a happy ending.

This is a case of 'it's totally me not you'..... I just can't mesh with this author.

Daddy Cam by K.M. Neuhold is the story of Felix and Saxon, best friends for more then a decade. I loved their story. It was sweet, sexy, full of feels and very well written.

This was a sweet and sexy read. Friends to lovers isn’t always my favorite trope, but this one worked nicely. It’s so funny to me that Felix and Saxon don’t realize they’ve been in a relationship for years. As a Daddy, Saxon has been doing everything to care for Felix. How did he not realize how perfect they’d be together sooner? Dense daddy is dense.
Felix was cute if a bit naughty. But that just added to his appeal, in my opinion. Loving Saxon from afar for 13 years has taken a toll on him and it’s such a relief when he finally bags his man. I loved the needy submission of Felix and the dirty talking sternness of Daddy Saxon.

I don’t bother attempting to argue this time. He took care of my drunk ass last night, put me in his clothes, and now wants to feed me? I’m going to enjoy this Daddy fantasy while it lasts.
While a lot of this book was pretty OTT/reaching the far end of unrealistic for my usual book standards, I still enjoyed this spicy m/m read! The whole schtick reminded me of one of my favorites - Hot Head! Some of the content, like but overall I read this in almost one sitting, so clearly it had its perks as well!
I really need to get my shit together before I make things weird. I’m projecting way too much of my unspent Daddy energy at him, and of course it’s affecting him. But the last fucking thing I need is to take things there and ultimately lose him.
I quite liked the assistant - Tristan - I bet his bratty energy would make a great read if the author ever goes there! Maybe with Leon of the gym training? ;)

I’ve been hoping to get a full length novel with Felix and Saxon ever since I read the Daddy’s Toy novella, and I loved their extended story!
Felix and Saxon were so sweet together and I loved how they’d both been pining for each other for years, without realising it. Saxon was totally Daddying Felix long before they got together and it was both cute and funny to read how completely oblivious they were.
The event that had them go from friends to lovers was hilarious to read, and I loved the way it happened. I liked that there was some background and build up before anything happened between them - it was really sweet to see them together as friends and roommates.
K.M. Neuhold captured their initial mixed feelings great - the happiness of finally getting what they’d wanted for years, but also the hesitation about not wanting to lose their friendship. It was something that they’d both thought about on and off, but once they got together things just felt so natural between them. They fit so well and the Daddy kink was great, especially in combination with Saxon’s delicious dirty talk.
Daddy Cam was a story that made me smile and swoon a lot; it was just such a fun, sweet and lighthearted story! I really hope that we get Tristan’s story at some point, he’s definitely the kind of boy that will be a handful, and he could use a good spanking…

So I was pretty much obsessed with the shorter version of this story that was in the anthology. I almost cried happy tears when we found out we were getting an extended version. The names changed but the ooey gooey sweetness and flaming hot sexiness is still there!

This was so much more wholesome then I thought it would be. The first half of the book with all the building tension was perfect and kept me wanting to read more. It had the perfect blend of sweet and spicy and had so many cute scenes that had me smiling. I did feel it kinda drop off abit around the 70% mark but it was still amazing. I’m not usually a fan of friends to lovers but absolutely loved this!

Omg these two idiots! This is idiots/friends-to-lovers. They were actually really cute together but damn. These two took way longer than necessary to realize they had feelings for each other. 🤦🏻♀️ This also had a decent amount of BDSM in it, and good spice. Pretty heavy on the daddy kink. Lots of use of the terms daddy and pup, lots of spanking, and a caretaker dom/daddy.

Ooooh okay so first of all this was SMOKING hot! KM and daddy kink is just *chefs kiss*
This had all of the growly dominant dirty talk you could ever want! Saxon was such a natural daddy to Felix and it was clear from the beginning that they were perfect for each other. Their meet cute was pretty hilarious and I continued to find Felix adorable and unintentionally hilarious. Together these two were the perfect ying and yang. All of Saxon’s possessive Dom energy played with so much passion with Felix’s sweet soft and sometimes clumsy submission.
I will say that one of my favorite things about KM is her ability to create these big beautiful found families and I felt the absence of that in this book. I completely get that it’s standalone but other than some bratty but well intentioned interference from Felix’s assistant there wasn’t very much outside interaction. I also felt like it was a little hard to believe that in 13 years, many of them living together, these two had ever had a conversation about kink or their love lives. It threw me a little because I kept thinking about it through the story and wondering how that was possible either way how close they were in all other ways.
Overall this was a sweet, funny, and absolutely filthy. I really enjoyed it!! KM is and will continue to be an author I know I can trust to pull out a really well written and emotional story that hits not just the spice but the kind of love that most people only dream of.

I didn’t finish it, but I got to the part where they first hooked up and skimmed a lot after that.
It didn’t work for me, they were too ridiculous. I have a problem with people being stupid. As if you wouldn’t notice someone having a huge crush on you, or even worse, your own feelings. For 13 years!!
It was just weird. Saxon being a daddy, calling Felix a good boy, but not even thinking about anything sexual, and then suddenly, after 13 years, he develops feelings. Or REALIZES he has them. My eyes hurt from rolling.
Saxon taking care of Felix at home was one thing, but I especially disliked Saxon mixing public & private by carrying Felix out of his office building. Because nothing screams business owner like being carried out. Sigh. It could have been really good, but just wasn’t. 2.5/5

I love me some best friends to lovers. Saxon and Felix have a perfect Daddy/boy relationship without even realize it. They have all of what that entails apart sex. And when that enters the picture, their chemistry is so sparkling that everything is finally perfect.

I absolutely loved this story. This was so cute and sweet. I loved how these two are best friends before anything happens. Friends to lovers is one of my favorite tropes. I also really enjoyed the communication between the characters. This was so well written and I hope that maybe we see a certain side character get their own story. I highly recommend this story especially if you’re looking for something fun and sweet.
