I LOVE Harari's insight as a historian and believe Sapiens is a very important book. I started reading the long version of 21 Lessons for the 21st Century when my turn came up on a public library hold list. However, because the book is so detailed and in-depth, I only got through three chapters (lessons) in the two weeks until I had to return the book.

So, I bought the summary version. It's dramatically abridged. I hope the essence of the chapter summaries are faithful to Harari's intent.

Yet, it read as if it was summarized by an AI that still needs a LOT more learning/fine-tuning. The grammar mistakes are many. In order to get anything out of this book, one must resolve to overlook this problem.

I just finished the audiobook version of 21 Lessons for the 21st Century and was so impressed that I wanted to read the Kindle version to make notes and highlight passages. I selected this one by mistake, but then decided to buy it thinking it was a digest by the author. Only after I bought it did I realize it's by OneHour Reads, whoever that is. It has too many grammatical errors and I think whoever put it together isn't a native English speaker. Also, there is also an over-abundance and also the use of the word also. It falls far short of the impact of the original and does not adequately convey Harari's insights.

If you are interested in reading Harari's 21 Lessons for the 21st Century, which I wholeheartedly recommend, don't bother with this second-rate summary.

I abandoned it before I was halfway done.

The author pleasantly surprised me with his outlook and relatively objective perception of the world. The book can summed up probably by the fact that the world is so complicated that there is no need to be afraid to use the sentence "I don't know". At the same time, let's not forget about quality education.

Repetition of the same ideas in different chapters.
