New Creation Realities: The Realities of Christ Finished Work

Rate this book
Legendary and Humble Bible teacher E. W. Kenyon delves deeply into Paul’s teaching to give us a living picture of the entire substitutionary work of Christ on the cross and His Resurrection and Ascension.

This work made possible the emergence of a new creation (in Christ), a new race of men and women who can stand in God’s presence without a sense of guilt, condemnation, or inferiority.

Key Themes: Re-created Spirit: Kenyon unveils the secret that psychologists have long sought—the inward man, the re-created spirit. This is the part of man with which God deals directly.

Identity in Christ: The book reveals what we are in Christ today, what He says we are, and what He has made us to be through His great Redemptive work.

This was one of the hardest books I ever had to read and if I did not have to read it as a requirement for my class I probably would have quit a couple of chapters in. However, i am so grateful that I finished this book. It is full of so many wonderful nuggets that will be with me for the rest of my life.

An amazing book that speaks of the reality of the Cross and that of the new creation.
My highlight was the explanation of why it was important for a man to be born again.
I recommend it to those interested in a detailed explanation of what it means to be one with Christ.

Jesus said to the father who asked for the healing of the child, “All things are possible to him that believeth.” Mark 9:23

Paul never tells a believer to believe.
He never urges us to have faith.

That bothered me when I first noticed it; then I saw the truth. We are believers.

We had to have faith to get into the family, but once we come into the family, all things that God wrought in Christ for us are ours.

We should have told the believer about what he is in Christ; what his rights and privileges are in Christ and his legal right to the use of Jesus’s name.

If we had been taught this, we would not have had the long struggle for faith.

But instead of that, they have preached to us the messages Jesus gave to the Jews during his earth walk, and they don’t fit in.

If I don’t know what I am, the Word confuses me, but when I know what I am in Christ, know what my rights are and my privileges, then you can bring no confusion to my spirit.

“You see, there isn't any such thing as a believer trying to be a believer, any more than for a boy to try to be a boy. He is a boy. He may decide to be a better boy.
If you say you are trying to be a believer, then you are not a believer. You are outside.”

“You see, in the New Creation we were given a new self, a Love self, a self born of God, a self like Jesus’ self that He had in His earth walk. We are not seeking our own.”

This is a hard book to get through, however it provides a unique insight into the spiritual realities of a Christian. Some things I found challenging, other points Kenyon made I simply didn't agree with, however the book helped me stretch my view of the more spiritual dimensions of my faith, and for that I'm grateful!

I have read very few books, if any, that details the “now reality” of the person whose spirit has been regenerated by the Spirit of God. I wholeheartedly recommend to everyone - for if there is a living truth touted as the greatest experience ever and one I could exercise my life after, then I want to know about it, don’t you?

a bit difficult for me to get through. older language and void of inclusionism. some great points on the power of the word and how speaking it causes life!
