She's innocent, inexperienced, virginal, and completely out of place. Now it's my personal mission to change all of that.

Sure, I'm also on this tour to play drums. A bit of blackmail got me the gig and out from under my parents' control. All I've ever wanted to is to live the rock star life, so I'm willing to do whatever it takes. Doesn't matter who gets hurt, as long as I get mine.

At least that's how it started.

This girl, she's gotten under my skin. Makes me want to be a better man. Has me dreaming of more than a life on the road. For a future of my own, as long as it includes her.

Only, I'm not sure how to make that happen. I can't tell her the truth, not when it won't set us free.

The books in the Off Track Records series are interconnected stand-alone romance novels, and can be listened to in any order.

{I received this as an ARC in exchange for an Honest review}

Kacey Shea has done it again and has written a truly Amazing and Wonderful Rockstar Romance!!!! It's so Unique to her and it definitely stands out among all the other Rockstar Romances in the world!!!! I absolutely Love "Hinder" I never wanted it to end!!!! Opal and Leighton have stolen my heart!!!! I Love this story so much!!! It's all about first love and doing whatever it takes to live your dreams!!! This whole book was so much fun!! I laughed and swooned! I connected with both of these characters and I became so invested in them!
Leighton and Opal are two very unique characters!!! Their histories are both so different but they feel the same and that's what makes them perfect for each other! They have such a strong connection!!! You can feel all the tension and want and love these two share!! Leighton is so sexy!! He knows he's hot and he's not afraid to flaunt it. I love him so much!! He is such a strong character. He is so used to just doing what he's told with a smile on his face. He finally has a way to get what he wants and he takes it. Leighton is becoming a rock star and getting to be who he has always wanted to be! He is totally my new book boyfriend!!! Opal is a girl after my own heart!! I completely connected with her! She is such a strong character as well. Growing up in a house that she wasn't really wanted in she finally gets the courage to reach out to her sister for some help. She finally is away from the life that was holding her back and is on to bigger and greater things! She is really independent and even though it would be easier to rely on her famous sister she wants to take care of herself. I so admire her for that!! Going on a rock tour isn't what she expected but she fits right in! She becomes so much more than she expected she could! Watching these two fall in love was so amazing!! I love them so much!! Their story is Fantastic!!! They connect in a way that is so special!!! You will be rooting and swooning over them the whole time!!!
I honestly LOVE this book so insanely much!! It is such an amazing read!!! I loved every minute of it!!! I ended up reading the epilogue three times. I couldn't get enough of these characters!!! "Hinder" is such a cute and sexy read!!! It will put a big oh smile on your face!!! You have to read this Rock Stars Romance!!! It is definitely one of my favorites!! I can't wait to read it again!! I HIGHLY Recommend you read "Hinder" so you can fall in love with Leighton and Opal!!

Hinder is the highly anticipated third installment in Kacey Shea's Off Track Records series and I found myself falling even more in love with her addictively hot and sexy rockstars that melt my heart a little more with each new release. This woman right here has quickly become one of my favorite authors and I think she definitely knows how to give readers what they want and crave in a great rockstar romance. From her beautifully captivating storytelling to her unique characters, the author hits the mark every time.

Ever since being introduced to Opal Evans, the sheltered teenager and secret half-sister to the insanely talented Lexi Marx back in Detour, I have wanted to get my greedy little hands on her story. Although originally I only got to experience little glimpses into her life from the previous two books in this standalone series, nothing compares to the opportunity to found out all her dirty little secrets in her very own story! Now let me shift my focus towards Mr. Leighton Wellington. He too captivated me right from the moment I first laid eyes on him and I thought he was the ideal match for the sweet and timid Opal. These two completed one another and my heart skipped a beat as I witnessed their chemistry bleeding off of the pages. Sure their relationship isn't all sunshine and unicorns, but the pain and heartache bring them closer than ever. If you can't survive the hard times, then the good times are worthless in the end. Love is hard, but it will conquer all...eventually!

Oh my goodness after devouring this one I am already counting down the days until I can get my hands on Austin's book! I cannot wait to see who he ends up with because like his fellow bandmates he deserves his happily ever after. While all of these books can technically be read and enjoyed as standalones, I strongly recommend reading them all in order because you do get some background information. Kacey Shea gives readers even more reasons to fall head over heels in love with rockstars with this extraordinary series!

Two of my favorite things are rock music/ musicians and a good book. Hinder by Kacey Shea gives me a chance to experience both of them at the same time. This book is the 3rd book in the 3UG series, but only the second one I’ve read.

Opal, a sheltered teenager who was raised by her grandparents in the middle of nowhere, and Leighton, a textbook rich kid who doesn’t always see eye to eye with his parents, both find themselves on a tour bus with 3UG. The mutual attraction and close quarters find them in an interesting predicament.

This is a well written dual POV novel that kept me invested in the characters and wanting to find out what happens next. I don’t feel like you will be disappointed.

Audio Review: Hinder by Kacey Shea, Narrated by Jason Clarke, Savannah Peachwood

How do you lose your heart to someone you're not even sure you like half the time? Shea makes it easy to forget yourself and get wrapped up in the emotion of it all. Hinder speaks from a place uniquely it's own. Leighton and Opal tiptoe their way into the part of us afraid to be human and make their presence known. With the help of Clarke and Peachwood, Shea turns up the volume on the frailties we choose to ignore and opens the heart up to the possibilities of owning them. Hinder is a powerful whisper that needs to be heard.

"Sometimes you don't realize how much you want something until the gift is yours."
I am so sad it took me so long to read this book! It wasn't my fault though, my Kindle went missing for a good few months and I didn't find it until recently. Either way, I was in the middle of this book so I decided to start it over and now I am here, sad to have finished it.
This is the third installment in the Off Track Records series and I can't express enough how much I missed the 3 Ugly Guys! I am so in love with their dynamic, they have me laughing out loud at every turn of the page, without fail.
This book is dual POV and it follows Opal, Lexi's sister, and Leighton, a musical protegee. Their lives collide because of secrets and manipulations and it was a ride to watch everything unravel.
I never wanted to stop reading this book. I can't remember the last time I stayed up so late reading because I refused to put the book down but Hinder was definitely that for me. I wanted to get lost in the pages forever.
At times I felt weird reading their story since I am a 25 year-old reading about 18/19 year-olds being intimate but it didn't keep me from reading past it, towards the cute scenes between them. This book is super steamy so definitely not for readers under 18.
Also, I know we already got Lexi's story but I would've loved to have seen her relationship with Opal more. I kept waiting for it and I wish I could have had more than just snippets.
I did find this story to be a tad predictable but what mattered most to me was that I enjoyed it either way.
I would happily devour anything written by Kacey since I know the ride will be worth it in the end, and it was. The ending was so adorable that my eyes teared up over it. I had the silliest of grins plastered on my face and I loved it.
I can't wait for the next installment in this series because I know there is at least one more guy I need to read about as he falls in love!
Also, here is another quote that resonated deeply with me. I can't get it out of my head. It stole my breath away with how accurate it represents a part of me.
"...what he wants? I desperately want it, too. To be loved, and to love. To belong, and to be desired. To be tethered to this world in something more than a passing moment. And for one crazy second I wonder whether I might be the one to give it to him."

⭐️ 4 "Cookie" Stars ⭐️
I was so excited for Hinder and about meeting Three Ugly Guys again! The first two book in The Off Track Records Series made me laugh and smile so much, but also got me full of feels! This new romance between Lexi’s newfound younger sister Opal, and the new drummer of the band Leighton, sounded so appealing.

Opal is such a sweet heroine. Her innocence is refreshing to the guys in the band while she’s on tour with them. Austin doesn’t miss a chance to flirt with her, but there’s also Leighton that seeks her attention. She’s been raised very strictly by her grandparents and it’s her first chance to explore her real identity and discover herself and her desires!

Leighton also had a difficult upbringing with lots of expectations from his parents. Being a talented classical musician, his dream is finally reality when he becomes the new drummer for 3UG! I enjoyed his cockiness and the teasing with Opal.

As much as I found their romance sweet and beautiful, I couldn’t help but feel there was a little lack of spark between them. I enjoyed this couple, but I didn’t feel their connection as much as I wanted. Maybe it’s the fact that a good portion of the story, their relationship is only platonic!

My favorite aspect of this book was definitely the brotherhood inside the band. You just feel they’re a family and not only friends. They have each other’s backs and it shows in the way they treat their friends with joking and support when needed.

Kacey Shea wrote with Hinder a very good complement to The Off Track Records Series! There’s funny mocking, flirty banters, sweet gestures and a beautiful romance with manipulation and secrets added to the mix. I’m so ready for Austin’s story now! I can’t wait to meet the woman who will steal the heart of this goofy manwhore!

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: it’s always good to spend time with 3 Ugly Guys. Jason Clarke as the narrator is always the icing on the cake. That man can read anything, and I would gladly listen. He’s my favorite male narrator, and he will never be dethroned. Savannah Peachwood’s southern drawl is absolutely delicious. This is my first time to hear her perform, so I couldn’t tell you if it was her real accent or one she adopted for the role of Opal. Either way, my ears were happy with it.

I really enjoyed Leighton and Opal’s story. Even though they were a part of the grownup world of rock and roll, and his band mates were about 10 years older, their portrayal, and storyline, felt genuine to their actual ages. Man, I really hate Beedo. Like, hate-hate Beedo. I so wanted someone to deck him. He’s been slimy throughout the series, though.

Kacey Shea does a wonderful job weaving a tale. You’re not just listening to a story; you’re seeing it, feeling it, living it. The fact that she can get me to hate a character as much as I do, says something. I’m invested in this series. Having these talented narrators bring this story to life adds a different level to it, and I would definitively recommend four things: 1. This book. 2. This series. 3. Kacey Shea, as an author 4. Jason Clarke and Savannah Peachwood, as narrators.

Another smash hit for this series! This one incorporates some characters we have met in the past and given them a front standing role. While I am not a huge fan of virgin stories the author does a good job portraying her as such. The girl is a wonderful add to the story. I was hesitant because she didn’t seem to be a girl that could handle the rockstar life upon our first meeting. But she shined. I really loved the male lead. His life is golden except he doesn’t think of it that way. He has emotional family issues. He is so talented that I can’t even imagine having all that ability! Watching him fit in and try to be the good guy was interesting.

Of course we get to hand out with the 3UG guys! More concerts and all the stress that goes along with it. I just can’t get over the whole eating contest just to get the room on the bus. Makes me laugh every time it comes up.

I did listen to this on audio. Savannah Peachwood and Jason Clarke. Savannah does a wonderful job and she is a joy to listen to. Jason really just blows this out of the water. He has been the male characters from the beginning. He has a different voice for each male character and he nails it from book to book. Amazing! Worth a listen!

Hinder
Series: Off Track Records 3
By: Kacey Shea
Narrated by: Jason Clarke, Savannah Peachwood

Kacey Shea has books so far in the Off Track Records series, and I am loving the community it has built! I feel like I am part of the band and get to enjoy all the ups and downs of their building success. This story lets us get to know Opal Evans, Lexi's sister. She was introduced to us when their father died, and now she gets a chance to know the band and her sister better. The band is still reeling from the death of their drummer and in need of replacing him. Their manager, Bedo, finds a talented young musician, Leighton, and his attraction to Opal is palpable. But conditions of his hiring keep him from her. Or will they? When Opal and the band find out Leighton's secret, heads will roll. But will it be the end for this couple? I LOVE Opal and Leighton. I fell for Opal, Her innocence, her need for acceptance, her huge capacity to love had me rooting for her happiness. Leighton is quite the guy. A little arrogant at first, his attitude and need to be in the band all become clear. He is warm and affectionate and I love his inner war when he is figuring out his life. It makes him believable. And just having all the band there, Austin, Shaun, Trent and Lexi make it feel like coming home. Keep them coming! I am look forward to our next visit!

Jason Clarke and Savannah Peachwood are incredible with the narration. Story telling at it's best, these two can go from young adult to middle age with such ease. Peachwood is perfect as Opal. She falls into her character, making each facet of her personality so true to life. Clarke is fantastic, keeping the voice of each character from book to book so it's easy to know who is speaking, and keeping all their dispositions in tact. Love these two together and really enjoyed their performance.

This is the third book in the Off Track Records Series, an amazing Rock Star Romance. I love the 3UG! This is a series of interconnected story. You can listen to this story as a standalone, but I recommend you to listen to the Series in order (Detour, Derail, and then Hinder) for a better understanding of the 3 Ugly Guys Band. Leighton and Opal's story is beautiful. They share a strong and sizzling chemistry. Leighton is sexy, handsome, strong, and determined. Opal is innocent, lovely, sweet and strong. She is Lexie's sister, and I loved her since her first appearance in the Series. I was very happy to have her story. I loved to follow them in their journey! The storyline is filled with angst, secrets, and twists and turns. The 3UG finally get their drummer, and the perfect one! The supporting characters are amazing. Jason Clarke and Savannah Peachwood did an amazing job with the narration. They are perfect as Leighton and Opal. I enjoyed it! Looking forward to listen to the next book in the Series, Replay, Austin and Jayla's story. Austin is such a fun and sexy character!

Hinder is Lexi's little sister Opal and 3 Ugly Guys new drummer Leighton's story and what a story it is!
Leighton is a musical prodigy and when he gets the opportunity to play drums for the legendary rock band 3 Ugly Guys, he will do whatever it takes to become a part of the band and to be a permanent member, but what Leighton doesn't take into consideration is Lexi's sweet, innocent, extremely beautiful little sister.
Opal has lived a very sheltered life up until now! When Opal has nowhere to go, she calls her long lost sister Lexi. But Lexi is on tour so she leaves Opal in boyfriend Tent and the guys capable hands!
Can this sweet, innocent, sheltered girl survive on tour with hot rock stars and being completely out of her element? And what will happen when secrets come out?
I loved Hinder I couldn't stop until I listened to it all!
I received an Arc of Hinder and I voluntarily leaving my review.

This is the third book in the Off Track Records series and I fell in love with the guys from 3UG in the Uncovering Love series, where their dirty talking mouths and their sexy and flirty nature came to light. Hinder takes us down the road with Lexi's sister Opal and the new drummer Leighton. This is not only about young love but discovering that age doesn't dictate when you can recognize real love. Their story is full of angst and had me on the edge of my seat right up to the very end. Leighton and Opal will consume you and Austin will make you question what is really happening at times. As the 3UG go on tour, it will be full of secrets, stolen moments, blackmail and awakenings. These two will try to break away from the past and their restricted upbringings to reach for the dreams that should be their realities. However as Leighton is hindered by secrets and family to fully reach what he craves, it will take the strength and determination that he has deep down to go after what he needs in his life. This is one beautiful love story that will capture your heart and attention.

He corners Vito his uncle to get him into the 3UG band as the drummer . Once Leighton sets his eye on Opal he looses his mind . Vito has something up his sleeve concerting the band and he tells Leighton if he wants to keep his place in the band he needs to find out why Opal is touring with the 3UG .
Vito sells Leighton out but the band all .

Attention fans of Kylie Scott's Stage Dive series: Get your one-click finger ready because you've found your next set of irresistible rockstars! This time around Kacey showers us with wit and charm in the form of rich boy and musical prodigy Leighton and small town girl Opal.

There are secrets galore going on here-- some the reader knows and some that won't come out until the end. But don't worry, to balance out the angst Leighton and Opal will give you all the feels with their chemistry and innocence...well, Opal's innocence. Leighton is a bit of a naughty boy-- just the way I like 'em.

This series keeps getting better and better. I was so glad to finally get Opal's story. She has been through a lot in her short life, up until meeting Lexi in Detour (book 1). Leighton was such the perfect guy and replacement drummer. He has also been through a lot and his family is, well, quite interesting. We get a little of Beato's back story in here as well and it's safe to say, he was not my favorite in this book. Seriously, Opal and Leighton were everything in this story and I hope we get more of them in Austin's book. Jason Clarke was awesome as Leighton and Savannah Peachwood's southern accent was the perfect Opal too!!!

Hinder by Kacey Shea is the third book in her Off Track Records series of standalone stories with interconnected characters. This time we get Leighton and Opal’s journey in this rock star romance with all the feels!

Leighton has led a very privileged life. Coming from a family with wealth, you would think he would have everything he wants. But when he gets an opportunity to follow his dreams, he takes it. He carried a lot of expectations from his family, but once he was able to free himself, we get to see more of him as he wants to be, not what is expected.

Opal was so sweet and innocent. Raised by her grandparents, she led a sheltered life and now finds herself touring with 3UG. My heart broke for her, but loved seeing her where life was leading her!

I loved Opal and Leighton! Both carried their pasts with them, but it was so much fun to see their chemistry and true selves come out. But life is never easy and Kacey threw in some twist and turns in their story. I was captivated from start to finish! I loved Leighton and Opal’s journey so much and it was so much fun seeing past characters as well. A great romance for all lovers of rock star and musician romances.

Happy reading!

A good book, and the reasons for 3 stars are based on personal preferences only - I tend to like older rock stars, at least mid - late 20's and beyond. Both Leighton & Opal are 18 & 19 yrs old respectively. I have a hard time thinking Leighton is at the top of his game sexually and Opal is experiencing the big O the first time out - with no pain, I am getting a little tired of this scenario, a little awkwardness from either or both at least the first time would have made me a little more invested in believing their love story. Secondly the plot was a little predictable but Ms Shea did a good job bringing it together. The real hero of this book for me was Austin. His reactions to both "issues" were what I expect of a mature individual trying to understand what is going on around him. Looking forward to his story.

Awesome Story & Narration🎧 Riveting & Heartfelt!

Hinder
Off Track Records, Book 3
By: Kacey Shea
Narrated by: Jason Clarke, Savannah Peachwood

I am loving Kacey Shea’s “Off Track Record” series! Each book is amazing and features a different band members of “Three Ugly Guys”. The books can be enjoyed on their own (stand-alone) but I not only recommend them all but I recommend starting with the first book “Detour”. It will give you more incite about the band and its members and what brought them up to the current time when they were in need of new drummer again. Besides you’ll love this book so much you’ll want to go back and enjoy the others that come before it. This book is Opal and Leighton’s story, I adored both these characters for different reasons, though at times I wanted to hit Leighton on the side of the head to knock some sense into it. Opal is a darling of a girl, her Mom never told her who her father was, when her Mom passed away she found out who her father was. Opal lived with her grandparents who were very strict with her, especially her grandfather, so when her grandmother passed she needed to get away from him. After learning who her father was she also found out she had a half sister, Lexi. After having a fight with her grandfather she called Lexi who told her to come stay with her and Trent. She goes on tour with Three Ugly Guys and works as Trents PA. The guys love the added bonus of her her southern cooking too. Leighton is a musical prodigy, he was accepted into The Juilliard School and will be starting in the fall. But that is his parents dream, his dream is to be in a rock ’n roll band and when the opportunity arises he gets his Uncle Bedo to hire him as the much needed drummer for Three Ugly Guys. I have not been a fan of Bedo and his ugliness shows thru even more in this book. I felt bad for Leighton, a boy who grew up in an affluent family, had everything he wanted and needed, yet really had nothing. He found a family the band but he had a shadow over his head, that shadow being his uncle. I loved how everything plays out in this book. The friendship Opal developed with Austin and then Leighton, I was wondering which relationship would develop into more. But Opal knew what her heart wanted, the chemistry was undeniable too. I loved her innocence and how she started to come out of her own shell. This story is beautifully plotted, it contains a whole lot of heart and is captivating from start to end. There is never a dull moment with plenty of drama, some angst, some laughs, lots of heartfelt and emotional moments and a wonderful, slow burn romance. Kacey Shea, thank you for another brilliant story, I am looking forward to what comes next for these awesome characters.

I listened to the Audible edition, Jason Clarke and Savannah Peachwood are fantastic narrators and versatile voice artists. They are perfectly casted to bring the characters and their story to life. They do an awesome job portraying the characters, humanizing them, giving each their own voice and personality. Savannah Peachwood truly grasped Opal’s persona, captured her innocence, sweetness and every emotion she felt. Jason Clarke’s Leighton was perfection too, presented his cocky side as well as is soft and vulnerable side. They were awesome with the secondary characters as well. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen🎧

Might be my favorite of the 3UG series

I've been reading this rockstar romance series this week & have REALLY enjoyed them so much. This writer has me hooked on her style now, 3 books in.

First book about hot, sexy lead singer Trent & badass Lexi was so great, loved them together, was thinking, nothing can beat this story.

Next came bass player, Sean, sweet, hunky, protective, sensitive man that he was & Jess, downtrodden & insecure from her jaded past & years of verbal putdowns by her boyfriend, Coy who joined the band as ANOTHER (lol) new replacement drummer. That was until he blew it with his volatile temper with Jess as the punching bag. Sean & Jess were very attracted to each other, even though it was wrong to covet someone who was involved with another. This book had some sad moments but the ending was beautiful, especially if you got to read the bonus chapter which of course, I signed up for.

BUT, my favorite of all so far has to be this book which gives the story of Opal, who haven't we all been curious about since Lexi 1st met her in Detoured? Then we find out the the mysterious band manager Bedo has a secret past life no one knows about. And a nephew who is a musical prodigy & is blackmailing him to get him connected in the rock world instead of Julliard where his parents want him to be. Bedo has no choice but to install Leighton as yet ANOTHER replacement drummer, but he will have to become Bedo's planted spy for the priviledge & dig up dirt on the band. Leighton's on the tour & on the bus for the next leg & he's noticing Opal as more than a target! What guy wouldn't, she's a total sweetheart.

Now toss in hot, sexy, beautiful guitarist, Austin, who has me more than alittle intrigued & very curious about his secrets as well. He's always sneaking off on breaks to who knows where. He seems to have a thing for Opal, now that she's joined the tour as Trent's assistant. He flirts, sends constant innuendos her way ever chance he gets, making Leighton wonder..are those 2 really a thing? Sure looks that way even as innocent as she seems to be.

There's a lot going on in this book. Secrets, lies, longing, lusting, regrets, mistakes, discoveries, love & growth. The ending was sooo good, especially when something that was going on under the radar for a while is finally revealed & resolved. Won't say what, but..YAY! Who ends up with who in this? Let's just say the road isn't as easy as it looks & the lifestyle takes it's toll. I loved Hinder, a wonderfully well rounded book, in my opinion. Highly recommend this series & author.

Can't wait to read the next in the series which will feature the last member of the bands much anticipated story. I hope everyone gets the best of HEA's & not just HFN's!

I received a copy and voluntarily left a review and all opinions are my own.

Woohoo! There is nothing more exciting that being back on tour with one of my favorite fictional bands 3UG (Three Ugly Guys) which was created by the oh so fabulous Kacey Shea. I couldn't wait to get a front row seat on their crazy tour bus and see all the drama and sexiness that goes on while they are out on the road serenading us and digger deeper into our hearts. Kacey brings us a much younger couple that have secrets surrounding them and an innocence we haven't seen with the other 3UG guys. But don't mistake their young age for lack of passion because they have so much that a reader can't help but revel in it!

Leighton Wellington intrigued me from the start with his wealthy background, his music genius, and his need for freedom. I couldn't wait for him to shed his aristocrat world and become a rockstar that is full of heart and hope. He had me twisted up in knots over his drama and his dirty words and his big heart just about undid me! He may be the newest 3UG member but he has stolen my heart hands down!

Opal Evans is as innocent as the day is long and I rubbed my hands together in glee just thinking of the ways that Leighton was sure to “dirty her up”. She is like a sexy Betty Crocker that has not one but two guys tied up in knots in the band. She filled me with so many different emotions that I wanted to be her big sister Lexi and just put my arms around her and hold her.

Kacey Shea delivers another addition to the stories about the 3UG that will have your heart melting, your pulse raising, and keep you fan girling from beginning to end. I highly recommend Hinder for a romance that will add to your fantasies for a fictional band that you can't help but grow to love and obsess over. I cannot get enough of Kacey Shea's writing and her deliciously scrumptious 3UG, they will always hold a special place in my heart.

Hinder is the third book in this series featuring a highly successful rock band called 3 Ugly Guys. Since the beginning of the series, finding a drummer for the band has been challenging and frustrating. They seem to finally find the perfect match in Leighton, a child prodigy musician from a wealthy and elite family. Add to the mix Opal, the sister of the lead singer's girlfriend, currently traveling with the band as his personal assistant. From their first meeting, the sparks between Leighton and Opal practically fly off the pages. However, Leighton is hiding secrets that could not only destroy the friendship blossoming between Opal and him, but they could destroy the home he has finally found with the band.

As with all the books in the series, the romance is almost secondary to the growing love and sense of family between the band members and their girlfriends. I loved watching Opal grow in confidence and self-worth under the care and attention of the band members. After growing up in a family devoid of love and almost puritanical in its strictness, Opal blossoms under Leighton's complete adoration. Leighton spent his youth seeking love and respect from parents that only cared about wealth and status. Although they come from opposite backgrounds, both Leighton and Opal are desperate to find someone to love them and to accept their love in return. Perhaps their difficult upbringings made them old souls, because I had no difficulty accepting the depth of their love, even though they were both teenagers. Of course, Kacey Shea had to give this couple some major bumps on their road to an HEA, but it made it all the sweeter when that ending arrived. I am both excited and sad to start the next book in the series because I want to know what happens next, but I don't want to say goodbye to these delightful characters.

Now that I have raved about the story, I must heap equal praise on the narrators, Savannah Peachwood and Jason Clarke are two of my all-time favorite narrators. Basically, if either of them narrate a book, I want to listen to it. However, when you combine the two in a duet, their talent shines even brighter. Peachwood's lilting delivery makes Opal seem all the sweeter, and Clarke's voice could make any woman combust. I can't imagine a more heavenly experience than listening to a Kacey Shea story read by these powerful performers.

I received a copy of this audiobook at my request in exchange for this honest review.

WOW WOW WOW!!! This book!!! Gosh, where do I start? Let’s start with that cover. How hot is it? I just love it, and it is going to look perfect sitting up there on my shelf, that’s for sure!! Kacey is such a phenomenal writer and when I read her books I am sucked right into the book’s world, I really did not want to leave it or leave my Three Ugly Guys behind.

Opal is Lexi’s sister, we met her in the past books from the series. She is young, and so very quiet, but she is such a beautiful person both inside and out. She doesn’t come from much and her past is full of heart break.
Leighton grew up with pretty much anything he could have, except one thing. He comes across as a young smarta$$ but I think he does it just so he can hide his true feelings.
These two together... oh my heart. Seriously, they were tugging on my heart strings and just would not let my heart go, but I loved every second.

This book made me laugh, and it made me cry. It just made me feel so much. I read this book rather quickly, and then I was kicking myself for not reading slower so that I could savour it. It just captivated me. Every word had meaning, every word on those pages I could feel. I was so mad at Bedo, I never liked him anyway but still, I was so mad for what he did!! I really really hope that the next book Kacey is planning to release is part of the Off The Track record series because I am missing the characters of these books already! I rate this book 100 stars out of 5, and I definitely recommend picking up this book, or this series if you are yet to read them all.
