This story was so good. It was fast paced, thrilling, suspenseful, violent, spicy and extremely entertaining from start to finish. I devoured every word quickly and couldn’t put it down.
I loved Paige. She’s fierce, sweet, funny and has such incredible determination and resiliency. She is a survivor of some horrendous circumstances, which has made her stronger than ever.
Parker is just as broken as Paige and has some bad demons in his life. When he sees Paige in a terrible situation, he feels the need to rescue her. Little does he realize, Paige is about to turn his world upside down and inside out!
There was just something wonderful about these two together. Their banter was filled with hilarious sarcasm, little jabs at each other, and some very intense emotional moments, but underneath all of that there was this sexual tension that was slowly building into something neither of them would be able to deny. And when they did give into it, it was just so freaking electric and HOT!
I enjoyed this story, all of the incredible characters and the amazing twists and turns throughout. Loved it.

Parker + Paige = Amazingly Dark Read!
This is my first read from this author but won’t be my last! This is a dark romance that turns the dark villain into a hero. The story is fast-paced and is gripping. I would have loved this book even without the heat and smut, but that just made it so much better. Paige is the FMC, and she is broken and battered but so very resilient. When she is rescued by Parker, you could feel their connection even before they were aware of it themselves. Parker is equally broken and damaged, and it takes a bit longer for him to piece together, but when he does, it makes everything right in their world. I loved every second of this book and highly recommend it!

No nice little meet-cute for Parker and Paige.
He's a hitman and comes to her rescue. She's been trapped in a nightmare and is hoping for escape. When Paige becomes a huge target and Parker is the one that's supposed to unalive her, Paige must figure out how to get away from all the targets on her back. Parker is determined to find and take care of the threats to Paige and not lose her. They form a bond and attraction that is hard to resist for two very damaged people. They have to go through so much to try and get any little bit of happiness and they find so much happiness together while the world burns around them and at every turn, it seems like everything is against them.
I never knew what was going to come up next. There are so many twists and turns that I could have never predicted. It was amazing. The spicy chemistry and spice between Paige and Parker his next level hot and so delicious. They are the perfect fit for each other. Parker thinks he saved Paige, but she saves him right back.
They go through so much and will always have scars, but as long as they are together, they will always find their happily ever after.
I feel honoured to have read this story and was sad when it was done, but happy I got to experience the journey with them. I will devour any books this author releases if they are a fraction as good as this one!

This is another story by Whitnay Edes that grips you from the start. I absolutely loved this story and loved how characters grew in themselves and with each other as the book developed. This was not your normal instant love, instant happiness story as both Parker and Paige has their own demons to slay to be able to be both on the same page as each other. This is a story that does have spice but does not take over the story, but is a component in the plot. This is a story that is plot driven and builds anticipation between not only our main characters but other influences that have a bearing over Paige’s life and also how Parker reacts.
Parker is a hitman for hire with what he would class as a blackened heart, he has learnt to live on the move and only stops when he needs to – for “Elmo to get all his ducks”. He has learnt not to develop feelings or closeness with anyone, his is a life of solitude and only going to others when he needs to.
Paige thought she had it all until she realized she hadn’t. A life brought up with feeling she has no worth, being treated in the worst possible way until one night he stops to help her. She learns who he is, but where does that leave her, will she be able to move on and have a life away from pain and heartache.

I've become absolutely obsessed with whitnay edes recently and can't seem to read her books fast enough. I didn't know what to expect with this book as I always go in blind as I liked to be surprised. But I fucking loved it. Every little bit of it. But then again I should have known I would have, its whitnay edes.
Once I started parker and Paige's story I couldn't stop, not for nothing, adulting be damned. I ate this baby up. It's a crazy motherfucking ride and I was here for it all. It's filled with action, spice, suspense, drama and loads more. The characters, storyline and plot where beautifully written.
They both have scars and been through alot but they're souls call to one another.
Parker is a hitman, he's got a black heart and doesn't give a fuck attitude. Paige is running from an abuser. Parker is instantly drawn to her and saves her. She witnesses him unalive people but that done stop her from being drawn to him too. So much happens in this book you need to grab it to appreciate it for yourself. It's totally worth the read!! You won't be disappointed, I sure wasn't. Highly recommend!!!

First, if you are a Supernatural junkie (yes, I’m talking Sam and Dean Winchester!), you will appreciate the few references made in the book! Anyway, this book takes you on a journey. You have Parker who is a Military trained gone underground hitman and Paige who is a saved from a trauma filled "before life". They are far from the "perfect" couple but they can't stop the undeniable attraction they have to each other. Parker might be a hitman on the outside, but on the inside, he's got a heart and he'll always do the right thing, no matter the cost. This book made me laugh, made me angry, made me sad, and every emotion in between. There are some spicy scenes but they aren't SUPER spicy as that's not the focal point of the book. Watch your triggers for sure though!
Whitnay, you've made me want to read all of your backlist! I can't wait to get my hands on more!

Wow this book will grab you and pull you in from start to finish. The story is fast paced and full of twists and betrayals Paige is on the run from an abusive relationship when she is saved by the mystery man Parker. Even though he saves her she sees him unalive the men trying to hurt her. Now she is being forced to stay with him. Parker is a man who likes to have no complications and to just do is job and move on. Paige is a complication he seems to not know what to do with. Paige and Parker are two broken souls who both didn't realize they needed each other. I loved reading these two fall in love, it was emotional, suspenseful,heartbreaking ,and so steamy hot. These two did everything in their power to give each other forever and wow it was so worth the read. I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review.

I enjoyed reading this story. It was great to read the relationship between Paige and Parker. Paige has had a troubling life and Parker finds her during a time when she needs help. Parker is unsure why but he can't let Paige go. He has to help her and keep her. Parker is a hitman and has no remorse for anyone he kills. It was interesting to read how two people who have both had dark pasts were able to come together and have a HEA.
There was some intrigue and suspense involved with this story which kept me interested and reading. The characters were a bit emotionally detached at the start, but the author did warn this before reading. This helped with the story because it showed how true these two loved each other that they were able to show emotion to the other.

The spice wasn’t through the whole book it was very plot driven and not spice driven but what was in there was good.
The character development was perfect it wasn’t all just laid out in the beginning of the book you learned more as you read.
The story line was amazing, you never knew what was going to happen next and when you found out you just have to keep reading to know what is going to happen next!
The story of the characters falling in love was so good I was a little mad a Parker at one point but I understood. They battled their own demons but those demons are what brought them together!

I truly adored this book!!
The spice wasn't present throughout the book; it was more plot-driven than flavor-driven, but what was there was fantastic.
The character development was excellent; it was not all put out at the beginning of the novel; rather, you learnt more as you read.
The storyline was fantastic; you never knew what was going to happen next, and after you found out, you had to keep reading to find out what happened next!
The story of the characters falling in love was so excellent that I was a little upset with Parker at one point, but I understood. They each battled their own demons, but those demons drew them together!

Learning to love is one of the hardest things to do when you've never had healthy relationships and this book is full of that stress. The spicy is spicy but not so much that it's ick. There's one part that just about broke my heart and of course that's when my family wanted to know why I was so sad. How do you explain that you're attached to fictional characters so you're feeling what they're feeling? Definitely loved the book - and I'll be reading it again!

When Paige gets into a situation and is rescued (a bit reluctantly) by Parker, she gets more than she bargains for when he makes her go with him. Parker is a man honed by his past and we watch as his frozen heart thaws... Paige is perfect for him and my heart hurt when they were separated, but big suprises are in store for Parker when he comes back to Paige. Still not without more murder and kidnapping you will totally enjoy this tale that Whitnay wove!

First up, read through the tripper warnings. There are some.
Paige and Parker are two people with a past that has a lot of luggage. Something tugs at them to work through everything. Trust is hard and so is the love that is happening as well. But they are finding that they need each other. There is some spice, but it is over the top.

I absolutely loved this story and the fact that our bad guy is a hit man who receives a mark to take out but the mark ends up being the one he falls for. This isn't your typical cute fall in love story and I think that made it even better.

Elmo has a duck
Iykyk, this was an amazing emotional experience. I am now a huge fan of Ms. Edes. This book will take you on a ride that you won't want to get off of. Their story will bring you to your knees, and the spice is, oh, so nice. This is a must-read.

Yessss i loved this so freaking much! Paige and Parker are chefs kiss! Not only is the story amazing, but the audio is too! It definitely is a 5 star read for me! Whitnay sure knows how to give you what you didn't know yoh needed!

This is my first read by Whitnay Edes. I loved it. It was deliciously dark. The chemistry between Parker and Paige is so palatable. This book is action packed and will have you on the edge of your seat with each turn of the page. If you love reading about falling in love with the man who rescued you, but ended up kidnapping you, then this is the book for you! I cannot wait to read more books by Whitnay!
