Although there were some parts I did like, there were also a few I didn't. There wasn't any confusion who the MC of the story is, however, Ollie demands a lot of attention from the others, and there is so much h time placating him, it takes away from the story for me. He has to have everyone's attention from the beginning of the very first novel and everyone caters to him. I didn't find him charming. I found him a bit needy and exhausting.

I'm struggling to put my thoughts into sensible sentences, so I decided to just tell y'all what I felt throughout reading this.
Throughout most of the book, I felt worried and frustrated. I just wanted everything to be resolved for the main characters and for everyone to be happy.
I was also surprised and proud, that Amaya’s mates Oliver, Samuel, Emmett, and Vincent really had each other's back even when they themselves were struggling. I honestly was expecting everything to fall apart.
Then coming to the end I was sad, happy, and so freaking proud! I don't want to expand much because I don't want to spoil anything, but Amaya is a warrior and a very strong one at that. They guys came together more than they already had and they started to mend their broken pieces together and became stronger.
Not the most in-depth review and probably confusing, but just know this was amazing. Don't just take my word for it, go read it. First book I posted a bit ago, ‘Who We Were’!

After the first book in this Duet left us on a nail-biting cliffhanger, I couldn't wait for this book. The only downside I will say is that I think the guys were forgiven too easily, and more grovelling was needed. Even from her dad. But I was happy that Amaya finally got the pack she had always wanted and absolutely deserved. This Duet is a.firsr for me.from this author and the book hits different to other omegaverse I've read. It isn't really based around trying to mate the Omega as fast as possible. She is different, and so is the situation. it's about her Alphas and Beta saving her from traffickers and helping her heal. Yes, there is bonding, which we know comes with certain expectations, but that's not all it's about, which makes a nice change.

I have beef with YV Larson - mad beef!
For starters, how dare she right another great omegaverse series!!
I was lucky you get an ARC copy. Wish I hadn’t only to postpone what I went through emotionally, and what my favourite of Amayas pack mates went through.
I don’t want to spoil or say anything about this, as I think you need to read it.
There were so many positives, and not many negatives aside from the fact I, personally, wanted a bit of Vincent’s background and his time at the academy etc. And less of Amayas time with the other three as we got that in book 1.
Otherwise 10/10 recommend!

This was a hard read for me for some reason, the flashbacks are needed but tended to take me out of the story every single time, which is probably a me issue and not a book issue. I loved the first book of this duet but this one just didn’t hit the mark for me. I felt almost like if they hadn’t needed her for all the trauma the book would’ve been fine without her. If I was missing and came back to my mate having bonded someone else (pack or not) I think I would’ve felt unnecessary, and although they touch a bit on Amayas trauma the book reads more like it’s Vincent’s, Emmett’s, and Oli’s love story, even the danged epilogue felt that way. And to have them sitting around a fire pit drinking beer while their omega is going through said trauma and the Alpha KNOWS she is was such a WTF moment for me I almost DNF at that point. I don’t know, just didn’t like much of the story, sorry.

2,5⭐️ I’m going to be blunt and rude, I’m sorry in advance.
I did not give a flying shit abt Oliver’s thing for Vince. Amaya and her rescue felt a lot like a second thoughts in his pov and Emmet’s pov. The forefront was his confused horniness for Vincent and I DON’T GIVE A DAMN abt that, man. The girl’s been fkg kidnapped, sorry if ur horny ass isn’t well received! I almost dnfed multiple times for that!

This picks up right where the firsts cliffhanger ends. Amaya had some really amazing growth in this, it seems like she is finally willing to fight for herself which is amazing.
I did get lost in the POV changes a few times and had to go back to the chapter start to see who’s POV I was in but it was easy enough to follow.
I like how protected all the guys became and how they all turned to Vincent as someone to lean on. I enjoyed the growth of all the characters really.
This one is absolutely darker than the first one so take heed of the trigger warnings. The pacing was really well done until the end that felt a little rushed, but over all it was a quick and easy read.

This series called out to me, and I did enjoy reading it. Both the characters and plot were equally really written well and I had no issue with either.
Again, when I read, I expect detail with nothing missing, and this series was missing a few things. One of them is when a climax of a plot happens, I don't want what happens after to go so fast. That is what happens in this book. After the big reveal, it seemed like the author just wanted to finish the book. I want to see FMC really survive after what she went through. I want her to suffer. I know that might sound crude, but when a book is dark and talks about sensitive situations, I want ALL that comes with it.
Another thing I missed was details on their future. I want to know what happens.
Overall I do think this is a good read and I would recommend it!

My Initial Thoughts
I was super excited to get back into the Omegaverse and I was not disappointed as this picked up literally at the cliffhanger that ended the previous books, which meant I was hit with the wave of emotions that Larson’s book always give me. The cover is just as beautiful as expected, and it’s the rare occasion that actually real people on covers doesn’t always have to be a bad thing.
Plot
This was intense, like super intense. What a read, not only did it have my heart in a hold, it also made me throw (gentle) my kindle as I was so upset and ugly crying so hard at one point! The gasp I let go, you know that well written saying, I let out a breath I didn’t realise I was holding…. Yes I know the true depth of that now and that alone was from the plot and writing!
The plot was indeed everything I hoped for and so much more. Out of the 4 books in the series I’d say this was the one that got to me the most.
Characters
Ohhh where do we start with the characters in the pack! Amaya is absolutely the queen of her pack and it shows to the depths her mates will go to, despite being “just realtors” that sentence in the book did make me chuckle. IYKYK. I think every single member of the pack has growth in their own self during this one. My favourite was Emmett, he won my heart over this time, sorry not sorry Vincent.

Absolutely if you enjoy RH and the Omegaverse then you need to read the whole series!

How can you wrap this book up, yet alone the series! It was the perfect, emotional ending of survival and how not only Amaya but her pack needed to grow into their places and roles, but making up for the past mistake. Overall I couldn’t fault this, it had the impact and the emotional punch that it really needed. Amaya was queen of the plot though. I think I really learnt that mind over physical elements have the impact that they need as did Amaya and her pack. As always I loved the fact its multiple POVs so we feel everyone’s emotions and development, but I also enjoyed the fact it had dual timeline and kept flashing back to Amaya’s past.

This is book two in the Torn Omega duet and picks up right where book one left off. I felt like this book was even more dark and emotional, but it ends up being a very enjoyable read. We get a better look at the characters involved including a better look at the males in the pack and how the react with each other. Being a duet, you really need to read book one first so that you will understand what is happening in this one, especially since it continues after the cliffhanger in book one. The author did a great job of including flashbacks throughout the book, giving the reader a look at the history of the members in this pack. This book did such a great job of concluding this duet. It was a rough road, but definitely worth it when you come out on the other side and get the ending that this pack deserves.
I feel like all of the characters in this duet saw such growth in this book. For Amaya, she absolutely showed how strong she is. She showed that she wasn’t just some weak and fragile omega. She went through so much in her life to the point that she has every excuse to crumble but she doesn’t let it break her. The men in the pack also showed growth, personally and as a pack. They do some groveling and they could have done a little more in finding Amaya, but they were still the wonderful swoony men that they are. It was so enjoyable to see the progress of this pack over the course of these two books and I really appreciated seeing where they ended up.

After the ending of book one, I was ready for book two! I was ready to dive into this book and find out what happened next. An emotional rollercoaster, this duet is full of heartache, hurt, and passion. Full of stress and trauma, book two did not disappoint and kept me glued to the storyline. However, YV did not disappoint and provided a duology that I couldn’t put down.
I loved how YV gave us more of the father daughter relationship in this book. Having gone through my own daddy issues, this stirred old feelings in me that made it easy to relate to their hardships and struggles. It was healing that Maya desperately needed and the male relationship she needed to fix. I truly believe that without this component to the story, Maya would have never been able to fully heal and let others in.
Our MMCs are still swoony and wonderful. Well, they could have done more to find Maya, but I think I understood the meaning YV was trying to convey. Although Maya goes through so much, it allows her to see how strong she truly is and sometimes you can only rely on you to save yourself. Granted, once they were reunited, the MMCs took action and showed who truly loved Maya is.
YV has given her readers a duology that showcases raw emotion, dynamic characters, healing of past emotional hurt, and hope for the future. I truly enjoyed reading it and highly recommend it if omegaverse is something you enjoy. A story where love is fought for and won. But not only love from others, love for yourself, scars and all.

Our MMCs are still swoony and wonderful. Well, they could have done more to find Maya, but I think I understood the meaning YV was trying to convey. Although Maya goes through so much, it allows her to see how strong she truly is and sometimes you can only rely on you to save yourself. Granted, once they were reunited, the MMCs took action and showed who truly loved Maya is.
YV has given her readers a duology that showcases raw emotion, dynamic characters, healing of past emotional hurt, and hope for the future. I truly enjoyed reading it and highly recommend it if omegaverse is something you enjoy. A story where love is fought for and won. But not only love from others, love for yourself, scars and all.

Honestly — kinda disappointed:/ I’m pretty sure I speed read like 80% of this book just to finish it so I could mark it as read since I hate dnfing a duet.
I really liked the premise of this duet and the first book was a 4⭐️ for me but unfortunately, book #2 just didn’t work for my preferences.
It picks up right where we left off from first book — Amaya kidnapped, Vincent hurt, and Sam, Oli, & Emmett still working to make up for their past mistakes.
While I liked seeing the pack fully form and each of the main characters get their spotlight with their struggling feelings, overall the story was just too choppy for me.
I’m a big fan of why choose romance so multiple pov’s is nothing new to me. But when every chapter for the first 50% switches between characters and there’s a mix of flashbacks, present time, internal thoughts only, yelling at side characters, and emotional breakdowns, — it’s a lot. It just felt like I could never stop and appreciate a character or fully immerse myself in the story because it was like trying to follow the ball in a ping pong machine.

Who We Are by Y.V. Larson is the second book in The Torn Omega duet. This is a dark Omegaverse romance and I loved it!!

The book follows Amaya and her 4 mates. Amaya is an Omega. She was bubbly, outgoing and silly with three boys who was her best friends (three of the other POVs). Then she became part of an experiment where she was oppressed and tormented. Now she is saved and rehabilitated but with anxiety and no idea how to life in the real world. Unit she was kidnapped again.
We follow Amaya while she is being held captive as well as the guys as they try to find their Omega. This was a good conclusion to the duology. No open endings but it did end like the story can still be continued. There was more spice in this book although it wasn’t overpowering the storyline.
I love how we get to know the guys better and see friendships grow. I understand the dominant hierarchy better and the character chapter was easier to follow.
This was a quick read. The first book was more suspense and this one little bit more slow paced. I still loved it.
I want to go read the first series (Collapse of the Premium Designation) as we get to meet some of the characters in this duology. If that is as good as this duology, I will love it.

Another great omegaverse duet finished. This duet was an emotional rollercoaster and definitely not for the faint of heart.
Book two starts off very tragic and stressful. I was panicked for a lot of it. But I did really like the journey for the characters, and how the story concluded.
I do feel like this book was rushed some. There are parts I wish that were expanded upon, and given more details. The relationship with Vincent and the men felt very fast. I wish I would have seen it develop a little more. I get the circumstances, but it felt very rushed.
I loved getting Paul's POV and their relationship as father and daughter. It def brought up my own daddy issues and ugh. It was so heartwarming to read.
The spice was delicious, but also felt rushed at times. It did a lot of the weird thing where it was very descriptive and in depth, and then it would gloss over the middle and the end and it felt very abrupt. I prefer when authors go all in or do a fade to black. It felts disjointed when it goes fade to black or wraps up super quick after a slower more descriptive start.
But all in all, great omegaverse duet! I really enjoyed it!

Meh
The first book was really, really good and I had such high hopes for this one. But I was let down so bad. This was the guys forming a pack without Maya while she’s being tortured. Instead of police work, they sat around for weeks trying to find her through a bond that was only an hour old. Do they not have CCTV? Are there no detectives? Let’s just sit around and feel sorry for, ourselves instead seemed to be all they were good for. I’m at about 43% and it just feels like Vincent and Oliver’s love story with the possibility of Emmett joining into that. Every once in a while they remember Amaya. I’m so annoyed, that I’m about to DNF. One of the friends has an OPS agent mate assigned to her case. All he does is sit around waiting for Vincent to find Amaya, instead of doing his own job to find her. What the heck? I’m reading a book and I can’t even stomach any of the characters. Poor Amaya is having to feel her mate laughing while she’s going through this makes me sick. This whole book is a mess. It appears as though the author got rid of Amaya, so the men could come together as a pack while she’s left all alone.

When I first started this book, I was getting a little frustrated that I waas missing information about the different relationships. So at 22% I stopped and went to Book 1 of the duet - and I'm so glad I did! Especially when book #2 picks up IMMEDIATELY where book #1 ended. Also, I was truly able to enjoy the final 78% of the book so much more understanding all the little nuances to every individual relationship.
When I'm reading a new genre (Omegaverse) I try and focus on a few things
1. Does it hold my attention?
2. Does it intrigue me?
3. Do I care about the ending?
My answer to all 3 was a resounding YES
I really enjoyed when a POV switch would occur and you would get the last few moments from a new perspective to help with the continuity. It built up the tension and I was so enthralled.
Also - I want a nest, just like Amaya's... tempted to turn my office into one.

Amaya is kidnapped by a group of psychotic incels, who torture Omegas because they hate them and want to rape them. Eventually she gets saved, but there’s no resolution about the traffickers, including the ones who specifically targeted Amaya. We never find out who they actually are or why they wanted to hurt Paul. They’re never arrested or killed. They just disappear from the story after Amaya is saved.
Overall this book isn’t terrible, but it definitely stalled out. Sam never really gets integrated into the pack. The relationships between the three other alphas feel very surface level.
I think this book ended up trapped by its own plot. With Amaya missing for so long and with her torture being so extreme, it would be a betrayal if the alphas did anything other than look for her. But the alphas are realtors and can’t look for her or do anything to help her. So they’re stuck in a lengthy stagnation of the plot where we just have flashbacks to the past and random torture scenes.

After years trapped at the Premium Designation Academy, this struggling Omega Amaya must find her way in the real world again. Unfortunately, the past is back and threatening the progress she has made.
It start off as tragic. I feel so sad for what the Amaya has gone through. It was so cute that she find home with the boys and their family when they were young but soon it ended. I feel good that she finally has people around her who care for her and protect her. I love the moments when Vincent made sure that her voice was heard and she has her own opinion in matter. I love to see her healing journey after being tormented and manipulative for years. Vincent is such a protective Alpha who would anything to make sure she is safe. I love him

This book was so good and emotional. This is the last book in the duet and the closure of this story. This author does such an amazing job at making you FEEL everything in these stories. I love these characters so much, they have so much chemistry on page, they’re complex and deep and I cried with them, laughed with them, cheered for them and felt like I was in it with them. It was wrapped up beautifully and the journey to this destination was done so well. This book has spice, romance, healing, friendship, forgiveness, found family and so much more. It’s a darker story and there are some hard parts but it’s worth it. I can’t recommend it enough if you love a good story about love that’s hard won and fought for.

I’ve been so excited to read this book and have been patiently waiting for it to come out. I dove right in when I got the book. It was such a good book I couldn’t put it down. This book is full of heartbreak and passion. This one did not disappoint and was so worth the read!

This is the second book in the duet and it was outstanding! This one takes dark Omegaverse to a whole new level (so check triggers) but the way that memories were weaved into this book was so beautifully done and gave such insights into the original 3 alphas and helped you better understand the dynamic. This book was a whole new way to watch the damaged omega story unfold and the strength of Amaya and her grit to push through and make it was so well written! Do I wish there was more HEA moments, yes but that’s cause I’m all for the fluffy stuff, while also loving the dark, it’s a mix.
That was such a wonderful read and I LOVED it was would recommend this duet if your into omegaverse with MM (and newly awaken MM) and dark and traumatic moments!

I’ve been waiting for the release of this book in response to Book 1… Who We Were by Y.V. Larson.
The first book ends with a cliff hanger that sets the scene for the second book. I enjoyed reading the story line develop and lead up to the climax. I did think that once the climax happened the book seemed to move rather quickly. I wish there was more storyline and development on the back end of the climax. I enjoy seeing mental health representation in books and I think Y.V. Larson did it so well. It was interesting to see the perspective of different characters although at times I found myself confused and had to go back and check to see which character’s POV it was. Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It does have a lot of trauma, but it also has healing. A great read!

This was such an emotional finish to this duology. I really enjoyed seeing everyone grow and form such a strong bond!

This is part 2 of a duet, and it is an epic conclusion. This duet is very emotional, there are some very dark and heavy events and subjects. Amaya and her guys really go through a lot. We pick up right where book 1 left off. The first half is definitely dark and trigger heavy, but then we make it through and get to the good and happy. There was a lot of growth in these characters and that’s one of my favorite things. Watching someone realize they need to do better for their partner(s), and then actually put forth the effort is amazing to see. I’m so glad Amaya got her happy ending. I love this authors books and highly recommend.

Wow what an amazing duet. After getting that cliffhanger from reading Who We Were I was so happy to read Who We Are.
Felt so many different emotions from anger, sadness, frustration, happiness. Amaya is so strong and resilient. So protective of her mates and they are also so protective of her. I just love how all her mates banded together to get Amaya back and give her the support she needed from everything she went through. I love how her father and her are in their relationship. He is definitely there for her.

Heat level: 3.5/5. I've not been an editor for long, but it's such a privilege and pleasure because of stories like this. This author's writing has grown with these OV books and I'm so happy. The story is compelling, each character has their own voice, and OPS fighting the good fight on top of it all was awesome. All of these omegas are so strong! The spice is definitely hot & hopefully we more more hot scenes. I can't wait to see what happens next in this world and how much more this author grows with their writing.
