Speechless. Chuck Black did it again. The only bad thing about it is now I have to wait another year for the next one. 🙁

《The hour has come》

☆brae: courageous, caring, faithful
☆rhett: daring, determined, loyal

The Chosen meets Star Wars...
The Merchant's mission must be accomplished, and Brae and Rhett will play a bigger role than they can imagine in the redemption of the galaxy.
The epic scale of Reclamation is developed and expanded in new ways, with edge-of-your-seat space battles and new and incredible tech. I loved seeing Brae and Rhett's relationship develop, and their character growth was definitely one of my favorite things.
I'm not a big fan of on the nose allegory, which Reclamation is, so I didn't love the super allegorical parts, but for fans of allegory, this will obviously not be an issue.
Reclamation is best for teens who enjoy science fiction or allegories with epic battles and adventure.

Content:
Very light romance.
Violence - battles, and a death involving torture (up to semi-detailed).

OH MY GOODNESS!!! THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING!!! 🔥🔥

Ok so where do I even begin?!
This book was wonderful, inspiring, meaningful, heartbreaking and emotional all mashed together. Definitely my favourite out of the series yet!!

This book had so many features that were top notch! I loved how many different characters there were, even if it was confusing a little at times. But what book isn’t. 😆

I’m a sucker when it comes to romance and reading Rhett and Braes relationship was sooo heartwarming!! It wasn’t too slow or long. Just skipped along as it should. <3
I loved how Raviel and Daeson came back one more time to help Brae! It sorta gave a finish to the long love story that Rav and Daeson had over the other books. Chuck Black truly knows how to bring out a persons emotions when reading a book. Definitely cried in this one 🥹😭

I was expecting Jeshus death but not like that. How it was written was so much better than what I was expecting. It was so heartbreaking ❤️‍🩹

The extra AI images of the character and weaponry that were added was really cool to have while reading the book! It was fun seeing the characters in the moment.

The only thing I missed about this was the continuation on how Rhett and Tig were related!! I was waiting and waiting and then the book ended! 😶 Im hoping it comes out in the next years book! 🤞🏼

All and all this book was an absolute masterpiece!! It moved to number 1 on my favourite book list! 🤭🫶🏼

Sci-fi is one of those genres I’ve never been a big fan of and don’t usually read much in. But the Starlore Legacy is the one exception. The way Chuck weaves Biblical events and truths into a unique, fresh world has brought this series to the very top of my long list of favorite books.

So I was so beyond excited to read Reclamation, and it didn’t disappoint! Though I missed the Daeson and Raviel dynamic in Merchant, I loved the way Brae and Rhett’s relationship develops in Reclamation. And watching Jeshu begin his ministry to the people of Rayl was beautiful and powerful. It’s so fun to see the familiar accounts you know from Scripture behind Jeshu’s actions throughout the book.

I also loved the addition of the accompanying pictures! It was so neat to see the world brought to life.

And that moment shown on the cover―gave me chills, and I thought it would be my favorite scene of the book.

But then I read the climax, and this was what really made this book for me. I expected the ending, so it wasn’t that what happened caught me by surprise. But what I didn’t expect was the raw, real power of it. I’m not an emotional reader, but I blinked back tears as I read, not for Jeshu and Brae and Rhett, but for the true story Reclamation is based off of.

This is a book I’ll be pondering for some time to come, and I know I’ll be adding it to my re-read pile at some point. Along with counting down the days to the next book, of course, because while Reclamation did tie up enough loose ends to satisfy me, I’m still anxious to have the rest of my questions answered and find out what happens next!

At this point in the series I might as well give 5 star placeholders because I know the rest of the books in this sereis will be phenomenal. I have enjoyed my expecations being subverted time and time again. When I think the story moves linearly it doesn't and when I think it will make a turn it Chuck Black turns the story upside down. All the while remaining authentic to the biblical text. How does he do it?! I love this series. Alas, I have to wait for book 7. And wait I shall...

This is one of my favorite books of the Starlore Legacy (maybe even my altogether favorite!) I really, really love the Rhett/Brae relationship and the misunderstands. They’re really likable characters! They’ve both matured a bit, and their friendship is growing, but there are misunderstandings as well.

I also really like that it’s not written from the perspective of the Messiah figure. It really gives it a neat perspective coming from Rhett and Brae, who the reader’s gotten to know over the last book.

This book felt really well set up for a sequel. There were enough loose ends (I’m really curious about Rhett’s possible relationship with Tig!) that it makes me excited for the next one, but enough things resolved that it gives it a bit of closure. Overall, really enjoyed it!

(It didn’t take me 8 days to read this, I was busy. When I actually sat down to read it, I sped-run it in two days.)

Honestly to me this is by far the absolute best book in the series so far. The story telling, the allegory to Jesus’s life, all amazing. Plus the addition of the full color image’s available online were nice, though they definitely looked AI generated, and personally I think imagination is infinitely better.
The things that most stuck out to me were: Jeshu’s interaction with bane, and how it really reminded me of Jesus’s kindness, love, and grace and mercy, especially to me personally. Honestly it brought a tear to my eye, and I never have such reactions to books or movies.
Secondly would definitely be the second to last chapter. Wonderful storytelling, imagery, and allegory.
There was some other stuff too, but I won’t get into it.
I really liked this book, definitely 5 stars, can’t wait for the next one.

This is probably one of my favorite books because it has the allegory of what the Lord has done for all of us in dying for our sins -such an amazing way that he weaves a timeless story with a fiction account:)

"Reclamation" is a great addition to the Starlore Legacy series, that captivated me from the very first page. What truly sets this book apart is its parallels between Jeshu and Jesus, offering readers a thought-provoking journey through themes both timeless and profound.
From the beginning, it's clear that Chuck has expertly created a story that goes beyond just telling a tale, diving into the depths of human emotion and spiritual contemplation. The love radiating from Jeshu for all beings is palpable, a beacon of hope amidst the turmoil of war that speaks of a battle happening in the spiritual world, beyond what we can see.
Having looked forward to Brae's role since the exciting story of "Nova," I found myself utterly swept away by the depth and complexity of her involvement in "Reclamation." The interplay of characters and the intricacies of their relationships give the story a realness that makes it captivating and memorable.
"Reclamation" exceeds all expectations, whether you're a devout follower of the Starlore Legacy series or a newcomer seeking a literary journey unlike any other. This book will stay in your mind, leaving a mark long after you've closed its pages.

OH MY GOSH 😃
I was introduced and have been reading the Starlore legacy for some time, and this book definitely did not disappoint! Since it was announced I have been anticipating its release, and the book was absolutely amazing 🤩 Some of the things I loved were seeing the character growth throughout the book since Merchant. It was so cool to see the other side of Rhett! And watching Brae and Rhett’s relationship unfold was sooo heartwarming 🤩 The part with Daeson and Raviel certainly brought me to tears, but I loved that Mr. Black added that one last moment with them in this book. I definitely cried a bit during this book! 🥹 There were so many twists and turns in Reclamation, and it held me till the very end! This book covers so many spiritual aspects and honors God through it all which I loved so much! If you’re looking for a book that honors God but also one that you can’t put down, this book is for you! Anticipating the next installment and can’t wait to see how this story continues!!!!

Reclamation was amazing. The way the story flows is stunning. It’s just the beginning to the galaxy’s salvation and the the universe will never be the same. As the characters experience a revolutionary movement under the Merchant, Mr. Black does an amazing job of allowing you to see Brae as she deals with her grief and a different side to the ornery pilot Rhett Stryker. Mr. Black’s writing is incredible as always and he paints the Merchant in the most beautiful way. He is respectful and elegant in how he shows you the Merchant’s love and desire to reclaim the galaxy from Dracus’ poisonous influence and the scourge of Deitum Prime. I will always be a lover of Mr. Black’s work and Reclamation is no different. The Merchant has come, the Reclamation has begun.

Reclamation, the newest book in the Starlore Legacy Series written by Chuck Black, is very well worth reading. The allegorical nature of the book gives you a guide of roughly where the book will go, but the author weaves surprises into the story as well. It caused me to think of the biblical history in a new way, and to wonder, again, what it really would have been like to be alive during the time of Jesus’ ministry on earth. It was a good mix of action and adventure, with a bit of romance that I enjoyed as well. All in all, a worthy addition to the series. I can’t wait for more installments!

I think this is the best book in the series... However, it is hard to remember the story as we wait a year between books... I am looking forward to re-reading the whole series once it is finished...

Loved this series, but expected this to be the last book. Looks like not. Beginning seemed to drag, and end was too quick. Love the allegory, but some of it just retelling. Still a great overview of the Biblical stories esp for teens or those who need story to see truth.

great series though nothing can beat cloak of the light! :)

One moment, that gave me pause. The author portrays prayer as an out of body experience. The disciples kneel and pray and then rise up and step out of their bodies into the spiritually realm. They leave themselves kneeling in prayer and go out into this second world. I think I understand what the author is going for here, that our battle as Christians in not against flesh and blood, but in the spiritually realm, against powers of darkness. But when you and I pray, we still fully exist on earth. We don't walk around it the spiritual realm. I believe that our hearts can be in tune with the spiritual realm, and we can "fight" battles in that realm in Christ's power, but we are still fully present on earth. It's something that happens in our hearts - in our souls. God speaks to us, guides us, and makes us aware of the spiritual, but we fight it still physically on earth. our prayers may be transcendent, carried to God and empowered by Jesus to aid in the spiritual battles, but we are not.

This experience reminds me of when reading the Frank Peretti books (so good!) the psychics and mystics would so deeply entrance themselves that they were in another realm with demons. entrancement is demonic. and witchcraft.

now I know it was not meant in this way, but it was concerning to me, and it weirded me out how this was portrayed.

(Re-read 3/30/2025... updated the review with my current thoughts!)

Wow, wow, wow! I've read every single one of Chuck Black's fiction works and never have they disappointment me. Reclamation was no exception!
Brae and Rhett's relationship was so beautiful to watch unfold! I love how despite their... erm... tumultuous start (😆) their relationship was still so realistic/believable. Something about their relationship hits deeper and I think it's their faith, mutal respect, loyalty, and Rhett's protection. It's a really beautiful relationship! And I love how the last-name calling turned from distance to fondness. It was so sweet. 🥰
Jeshu. No words... well, okay, a lot of words. 😅 He was amazing. A beautiful allgoerical depiction of Jesus. One thing that Jeshu just emulated was gentle kindness. And I think that's so much of the character of Jesus, which added to the allegory of Jeshu. That last scene was so beautiful. So hard to read, but rightfully so. The power of that scene, and most of all just the power of his love is so moving!
Major Kamp was such a sweet character. I love the grumpy mentor trope and even though Kamp didn't have a whole lot of stage time, when he did his character was amazing.
Allow me to fan-girl about some spoilers for a moment...

One of my favorite thing about Chuck Black and the way he writes, is that he never shies away from writing the hard things and tackling the deep spiritual topics in way that is Christ honoring. I appreciate how he at the beginning of the book acknowledges his humanity and that these books are not to be taken as Scripture but merely an allegory to help us grow nearer to the One True God, and the Holy Scriptures.

I read Reclamation all in one day and can't WAIT to go back and re-read it again. (3/30/25- Re-read this and loved it just as much! I tabbed up my physical copy with almost 40 tabs. 🤩) I have a feeling I'll continue to uncover little tidbits of story every time I read it.
The illustrated images added so much to the story, what a fun bonus feature!
All in all, a fabulous read!

Content: In my opinion, this had the greatest amount of romance and violence but both were handled in delicate/clean/pure way, specifically the romance. The violence reached it's climax with a particular scene at the end of the book and it's rather gruesome, but I think it's appropriate due to the allegory. Blood, death, explosions, injuries. Mentions of mistresses and being with women not married to. Romantic touch, hand-holding, hugging, light noticing, an almost kiss, and a kiss.

✨ 5 Stars ✨

Woooooow…how do I begin?
*takes deep breath* forgive me while I collect my thoughts after reading this book within the span of three and a half hours…

My praise about the book:
🤍The new characters they brought were amazing! I loved the introduction to Rhett’s family! And the struggle with Rhett and Brae was so good!!!😭😭
🤍Jeshu’s death was so sad but felt as it should have been. Horrifying in fact, but beautiful in sacrifice.
🤍And I’m sorry…RHETT MIGHT BE RELATED TO TIG!!!!! I’m so exited to see what happens!! I absolutely loved that part in the book!!!🤩

My dislikes:
❌Felt a little bit more on the allegory side then the others

And here I am now waiting expectantly for the seventh book…then I realize it won’t come till next year…*sighs* oh well, I’ll just read this book again!☺️

This is the best book of the six. Its story aligns withe other five with the starlore legacy being passed down. The fulfillment of prophesies that were for told by the oracles over 1500 years before.
