Ruth Cardello hit the NYTs and USA Today for the first time back in 2012. Millions of sales are evidence that her books are akin to potato chips, addictive from the first one. She has created a multi-series billionaire world with a combination of escapism and realism that has gained her a faithful following of readers.

What Kindle Reviewers write about her:

"Wow hot at every page. Heart stoping, fear raging, mind blowing wonderful."

"I'm a true fan of Ms. Cardello. I ran on to her first book a few years back and have been hooked ever since. I could go on and on about the story like of this book, but I'm not. All of her books are total page turners, unique, heart wrenching, and I love them all. There isn't two alike in the bunch and I feel like i know the characters personally. I personally read 97 authors books. And I buy every book they put out. This author is in my top 10. Great job and keep them coming."

"Love this series. Got me to start reading again. I look forward to the next book. Thank you for giving me the love of reading back."

Ruth Cardello was born the youngest of 11 children in a small city in northern Rhode Island. She spent her young adult years moving as far away as she could from her large extended family. She lived in Boston, Paris, Orlando, New York--then came full circle and moved back to New England. She now happily lives one town over from the one she was born in. For her, family trumped the warmer weather and international scene.

She was an educator for 20 years, the last 11 as a kindergarten teacher. When her school district began cutting jobs, Ruth turned a serious eye toward her second love- writing and has never been happier. When she's not writing, you can find her chasing her children around her small farm or connecting with her readers online.

Yet another gem

I first fell in love with Dominic Corisi a few years ago. There it has been said. :-) I didn't realize at the time that my love would then extend to the whole, extended Andrade family and their friends. But that is the mastery of Ruth Cardello's talented pen.

Maximum Risk was another wonderful example of beautiful writing, witty banter, schmexy sexy love scenes, and interesting story arc. As usual, it was well paced and captivating. Previous main characters made guest appearances, which I appreciated, and more intrigue was unraveled regarding George Andrade. Twisty.

Wealthy, isolated and sinfully gorgeous Max was a man who needed to be rescued. He was an island. Clever, cautious and beautiful Tara was a woman burnt, a woman who knew true love existed, but feared she'd never find it. Could two polarized people mesh? Could love be possible? Read Maximum Risk to find out.

A wonderful, sizzling and enjoyable read I'd thoroughly recommend for anyone who enjoys a good escape with substance, delicious heroes, and sprinkles of light-hearted fun.

Max is damaged, not physically, but the result of parents and family feuds that have really messed him up .
When he finally meets the one woman he can’t live without he pushes her away . Breaking both their hearts in the process.
Only family can put him back together, them and Tara the woman he needs like his next breath .
This is a great book and some awesome family skeletons are about to tumble out of very crowded closets.

Loved it!! These Andrade stories keep getting better and better! This book is about Max Andrade. The lone wolf brother who is tired of his dysfunctional family and all their drama. He thinks life is better lived alone. That is until he meets Tara Holmes and everything he thought he wanted doesn't look quite the same. When the secrets of his family and why Tara is really hanging around are discovered his new found feelings are truly put to the test.

This book and the entire series is so well done it grabs you right from the start and you want to really get to know each one of these characters. I highly recommend this book and the series.

I love the Andrade's... This is really a great series. I just hate that the next one is so far out not until May. Max definitely met his match with Tara. This book is full of suspense. Maddy......I hope your snooping doesn't break the family up for good.

The lost soul finds his purpose

Ok… so, if you haven’t already read the previous two books in this series… you need to. But before you do that, you should definitely read The Legacy Collection because that is where it all begins. You could start with this series, but you’ll have so many questions and unknowns that you’ll find yourself wishing you’d started at the beginning to give you the biggest and best picture.

The Andrade’s are a huge Italian family who have lived through so much turmoil and upset that you’d expect them to have fallen apart… but to an Andrade - family is everything.

Sadly for Max Andrade, he’d never felt truly part of that. His mother had always treated him differently and that had pushed him away from his brothers. She’d asked him to stay away yet she had welcomed her brothers. He couldn’t understand why, but after years of feeling her rejection, he’d left NewYork and taken to building his own empire of casino’s and hotels - making himself successful in his own right. He didn’t need anyone. He was much better on his own.

It’s only recently, since Gio had settled down with Julia and his brother, Nick had found love with Rena that the brothers were starting to reunite.

To trouble was, Max was so used to disappointment when it came to family that he’d given up the hope of them ever reconciling and being more like the brothers they used to be before their father died. Too many secrets and hidden truths made Max reluctant to get involved.

Until he is introduced to Tara Holmes. Instantly floored by her beauty and openness he propositions her, but her response surprises him. With her refusal to accept his crude invitation, what starts out as a promise of one night of mind-blowing sex quickly becomes a game that Max has to win. He wants Tara in his bed… even if it’s just to sate his attraction and add another notch to his bedpost.

There’s a problem though. Tara isn’t who everyone thinks she is. She’s been reluctantly hired by Maddy Andrade to dig into the Andrade brothers past to discover what keeps them apart. And as Tara and Max start to get closer and more intimate - keeping that secret becomes impossible for Tara to hold into.

Max is still adamant that he’s not after commitment but when he pushes Tara’s emotions too far, the fear of losing her prompts him to take a deeper look at himself. Could he be the man Tara needs him to be? Could Tara be the one to bring him back to life? Bring him back to his family?

Really enjoyed this book and Max and Tara definitely have some explosive chemistry. We didn’t really know much about Max because he was always off, jet-setting around his numerous resorts but he’d always been standoffish. Now we get to understand why and it’s really quite sad. Tara brings out the caring side of Max that had long been lost and he finds himself wanting to be a better person for her.

By the end of this book, he’s really quite adorable… and hot as heck!!

So onto the last brother, Luke. He’s always been the fixer, the glue that holds him and his brothers together, but as they start building their lives back together again, it feels like Luke’s is starting to fall apart.

Max Andrade; loner, cynic, closed off emotionally and doesn't do relationships. Tara Holmes is a private investigator jaded by her job. Who wouldn't be when all you deal with are lues, deceit and infidelity. When queen of chaos, Maddy D'Argenson tries to hire Tara to find out a big secret her family is keeping, Tara initially turns her down. But a photograph of Max Andrade with his brothers changes her mind. Max wants Tara from the moment he meets her but she will not even entertain the thought of them being together. She refuses to be a one night stand or another notch on Max's bed post. Things heat up to incendiary when Max finally beds Tara. Their "non-relationship" is rocky from the get-go. After Max sends her away because she reveals the truth about her relationship with Maddy he realizes that he's not really the man he wants to be. Showing up at her office to tell her how he really feels Tara enlists him to go with her to give Gio the information he needs to save his company. Trust and love go hand in hand and Max feels both for Tara. They do get their HEA but the ominous spector of Patrice Stanfield looms over the Andrade brothers and the truth gets closer and closer to being revealed.

I first read a fair few of this authors books through my library many years ago but all my reviews posted from then are no longer available.
Finding this author has joined Kindle Unlimited, I am treating myself to a reread.
Really enjoyed this book and the two main characters were great.
I have to say the shock in the epilogue really overshadowed and stole the whole book, taking away from Max and Tara’s story.
We have a hell of a lot happening in the background in regards to the disgusting mother of these brothers.
Tara is hired by Maddy to investigate Patrice, the mother.
During her investigations she crossed paths with Max.
Tara is a P.I. who specialises in catching cheating spouse which tarnishes her view of love but luckily she has a solid family connection with her parents.
I loved the way these brothers are getting closer to each other.
We get the typical bumps in the path to a HEA.
Read in the box set through Kindle Unlimited.

Great book

Love these Andrade men each book in this series just gets better, moody Max is just another sexy brother who needs a woman to make him more human and Tara fits the bill perfectly. Max is the youngest and most distant brother he hates coming to New York and being around family he is quite bitter and angry, one look at Tara changes all that. She is a strong woman but they just can't leave each other alone and with lots of hot raunchy sex love wins and she gets her man. There is still the underlying mystery going on but more information is surfacing as to why their mother Patrice is trying to damage her sons the truth will come out. Can't wait for Luke story maybe the whole mystery will be solved.

Annoying

Just too unbelievable. Two people with trust issues don't get engaged in less than 2 months. Men who have had family issues aren't going to want a big giant family engagement.
Hate when books have people gush and compliment the female characters for normal items or things they did not do.
Even when the brothers knew Alethea saved found the imbezzler, they still gave Tara credit. Tara was really incompetent and not that likable. Too much the same in series. Men are players then they meet a lady within a day that's it, living together. Women then no longer work.
Liked Nic's story they were friends before, took time to date then engaged.

Book 3 of five books about the Andrade family. This one is good if not better than the first two books in the series. Max is the youngest of the 4 brothers, and possibly the most angry and bitter. He meets Tara and is totally smitten with her. Only problem is he doesn’t do relationships. Tara, having been deeply hurt by a past relationship, is not looking for a new lover. Fate throws them together. Working together and developing a loving relation by the end is fun as they discover their relationship.

Wow! love, humor, suspense, this series packs a punch!

Another well written masterpiece. This series has everything. Family secrets, love, lust, passionately written and has you so wrapped up in it you lose track of time and before you know it you finish the last chapter. I read the entire book in a day, simply because I literally couldn't get enough! Excitedly waiting for the next book in the series!

Another Excellent Read

We're getting closer to the whole truth. What I really wish is for authors to not make women seem like their to easy. If a man wants a woman bad enough let him work harder to get her instead of trying to bed them on the second, third or even more times they meet. Get my meaning? I know it's just a novel, but still it would make it more amusing. As usual many sentence errors throughout the book, common in just about all I've read.

Love the Andrades men!

This book is Maximum Risk, book 3 of The Andrades series, written by Ruth Cardello. Okay, new favorite in the series...wink..wink. That could change by the next book, of course. I like the strong stubborn Andrades men and how they learn that things are not always what they seem. I can’t wait to find out Patrice’s secrets in the next book!!

I absolutely loved this whole series. It took me on a range of emotions every time; which I love when I read a book. Each of the characters were so much fun to watch evolve. The third book with Max had my heart clinching for his pain. And again hopeful for how he finds peace. Take a chance if you haven't and read this series.

Maximum Risk...

My most favorite Andrades. Lovely story with definitely lots of drama filled twists and turns. Max is my favorite thus far and he falls in love with Tara who is sense and sensibility itself. Sexy as hell. Witty and heartfelt. The brothers come together in this book. Plus you see other characters from previous books. Onto the next book.

Omg

Oh my god, another great story, don't you just love these guys, the story of Max and Tara was fast moving but he wasn't one to hang around when he wanted something or somebody just like he's brothers, so is this the real reason for Patrice's actions or is there more to it, let's find out.

Max is the youngest brother and Tara is a P.I. who's been hired to find out what bad thing in the past is being hidden. I liked that Tara stood up for herself which is something all the women do in this series. It is another steamy romance in this series. I've already downloaded the next one.

Max and Tara's story was fun quirky and packed with so much questions of the past. We see aside of Max that we hate and then we love him again. It was such an entertaining read. I am rooting for the entire family

Enjoyed the book. Max was the brother that acted like he didn't care. He pretty much stayed away from family, until Tara. Tara a private investigator was hired by one of the Andrades. She never thought she would fall for one.
