Given the content of this storyline, I figured the ending would be explosive. I just didn’t see that ending coming. Saying this book was good is a disservice to how good it actually was. Pick Up Your Feelings was EVERYTHING!!! These characters took me on a tumultuous and exciting ride and I loved every minute of it. Bleu, O’Shea, Isaiah, Tonya, the crazy BFFs, the protective siblings, and even the parents will have you crying, laughing, and cursing. Oh, and they are definitely going to stress you the hell out. There is so much drama in this book so, I'm not going to give a detailed review. Trust me, you want to go into it spoiler free and with a bottle of wine. Maybe even two. But, I will say this, I really hope we get a book on Tonya. After all of the shyt she endured with Isaiah, Tonya deserves a HEA. Pick Up Your Feelings was an amazing read. Kimberly Brown really outdid herself with this book. The storyline was well written, relatable, and the characters were amazing. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. Read this book ladies. You will not be disappointed.

WOW

This story really will take you on an emotional journey….I’m happy that Bleu was determined to show her ex that she grew and was over him…Bleu met O’Shea and she saw something very different in him, and he was definitely going to show and prove how happy he could make her. I’m happy they finally got to their HEA. The second time I listened to the audiobook….still a really good story…the narration with Cary Hite, Morae Brehon & Leon Nixon was really good.

Blue x O'Shea

This story was exhausting. Exhaustingly good. Isaiah stressed the life out of me. He kept me on the edge of my seat, wondering what he's about to do, wondering what his next move was going to be. I definitely did not see the ending coming. Isaiah was deranged. There's no other explanation. He could not get it through his head that it was over. Blue was a changed woman. She's no longer that nineteen-year-old girl. Sadly Isaiah couldn't see that. O'Shea was the epitome of patience and sweet. I loved the way he loved Blue and the girls. His brother and friends and Blue's friends were a hoot. They were the welcome comedic relief the story needed.
One thing I will say though I feel like Blue and O'Shea's relationship were not developed enough IMO. I wanted more of them. However it did not take away from the story. Highly recommend.
All right, off I go to continue my Kimberly Brown binge✌🏾

***Possible Spoilers****

The name of this book should be pick up your jaw because my mouth was left wide open after that ending. I probably held my breath from the time Isaiah was released from prison until the end of the book. I knew something was going to pop off but I was NOT expecting that! Wow!!! This was such a good book! A real page turner. I loved all of the characters in this book! The friendship as well as the strong family bond on both sides was refreshing. Both O’Shea and Bleu came from such healthy family origins and it was really good to see! All love and no dysfunction. Even Isaiah’s mom was a joy to read about. I loved that the kids also had a solid relationship despite what was happening with the adults. I laughed so much during this book even despite the very serious ish going on with Bleu and Isaiah. Chantel was a whole fool!! 🤣😅. O’Shea had a heart of gold… good lord he was a whole man and Bleu deserved that happiness. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

O'Shea, was exactly what Bleu needed. A refreshing change, O'Shea! He was so kind to Bleu and gave her so much love, support, commitment, and patience. They meshed well. Isaiah lawwwd the nerve of this man. He got what he deserved, but Isaiah made me incredibly anxious. He had me guessing what would happen next, keeping me on the edge of my seat. I honestly didn’t care for Tonya.

Wow!

What a roller coaster.
I'm in tears right now. So many emotions. So much heartache and pain for not only Bleu and Tonya but their children as well. This story was a lot heavier than I was expecting but it was very well written and I'm so glad for the outcome. I wish that the outcome wasn't quite as severe as it was, but every happy ending isn't completely happy.
I enjoyed readying about all of these characters. I even had hopes that Isaiah would pull himself together. O'Shea is definitely a man's man and major book bae material.
Whew, I have a few more tears to cry.
Really enjoyed this story.
Even the hard and ugly parts.

Just finished my first book of the year, and whew, the timing was perfect! Let me just say, this book reminded me how thankful I am not to have a baby daddy like, Lord, thank you! But for real, Kimberly Brown is the GOAT. She snapped with this one and got me out of the worst reading slump of my life. O’Shea is a good man Savannah 💕

Yaaasss honey👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾!!!

If I could give it more than 5 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟. This one just hit different. You could tell Queen Kimberly dug deep for this one. She had to have been stressed tf out writing this, especially when it came to Isaiah narcissistic a**😔. This book Although fiction is a reality for a lot of men and women, but especially women.
Isaiah was better off where he ended up at🤷🏽. If narcissistic ain't sh** a** phuck boy was a person, it would most definitely be Isaiah. One thought Bleu said that was true, that ni**a was one step from being a effing pedophile😡. He preyed on her and used her being a young naive girl to his advantage. It was sad that he subjected those babies to his toxic obsessive behavior😔. That ni**a only loved himself and he made that clear with his actions. Him choosing to go out the way he did in front of Bleu was sickening and selfish asf. Although I hated him for taking the cowards way out and the way he did it, him being gone was the best thing for Bleu, Tonya and their babies.
If that's my man and ima stick by him was a person, it'd be Tonya. She was so hell bent on making Bleu pay for the sins of her trifling a** husband, smdh. The way she disrespected her and her disregard for the girls was just pathetic. Like you been knew yo ni**a wasn't sugar honey ice tea before you found out about them, and still chose to stay😔. You forgive him, but tried to make Bleu life miserable cause yo a** chose to stay in a loveless toxic a**marriage🤔. The lengths she went through to try and get him to acct right was crazy. I was glad she finally saw the light and realized that the only problem was her ain't sh** a** husband. I hated that it took so loony for her to put her big girl panties on and apologize to Bleu, but I'm glad it happened. Although it took something traumatic to happen to set her free from that sham of a marriage, I'm glad she's able to start the healing process so that she can one day fund her HEA.
Bleu went through it honey😢. That motherfudgesicklestix took her on an emotional toxic a** roller coaster😔. I was so proud of her for not allowing that phuck boy to continue to manipulate her. O'Shea came into her life when she needed him the most. That man made it known from jump she was wifey. The way he cared for and loved on her and her daughters was made me fall in love with him. I loved that despite all the bs her punk a** bd was doing, her made it clear with his words and actions that he was there to stay. He was everything her and those girls needed and them some. I truly felt the love through the pages and even with all the toxic ish, I enjoyed their journey to their HEA.
I loved and respected MS. Veronica, she was a real one.
DEFINITELY A MUST READ🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥!!!
Would love a spin-off for their friends, especially his brother Cedric and her bestie Chantell. Them fools were cut from the same cloth and Cedric met his match with her😂😂😂.

Whew Lawd! That damn Isaiah was a whole lotta crazy! 🤯 How the hell do you become obsessed with someone that YOU manipulated, then have the audacity to be mad because they find out that you are a fraud? 🤡 I was ready to dive in and help Bleu take him out! But, I have to commend Bleu for sticking to her guns, and standing up for herself and her children! She did not cower to his threats and erratic behavior! I felt a little bad for Tonya, although she was a damn fool for love! O'Shea was a breath of fresh air! The patience, effort, love and support that he poured into Bleu was beautiful, and they were so good together! I could tell that some ish was bout to go down, due to Isaiah becoming more and more unstable. But, damn I was not ready for THAT outcome! Great job! 👍👍👍

4-4.5 stars Whewww the DRAMA! For a lot of this book, I wasn’t sure about getting Isaiah’s POV. But in the end, the story really came together, even if it was hard to witness. With everything that the book covered, it left me wanting a little more romance, but this story was unique, so well done, and I think it will stick with me.

That dangerous kind of love

The way Isaiah looked at Bleu and treated her during visitation with his WIFE there, let me know it was that dangerous kind of love. It was on from the jump once he came home because he was on 100!! The love Oshea showed from day one was evident. Good read and a realistic character development.

A crazy man is dangerous!

I guess you're able to determine from this title, this man was crazy. Isaiah had a wife with four children, and he didn't understand why his relationship with his side chick would not be okay with his wife Tonya. Bleu did not know her twins father was a cheater. Long story shortened, Isaiah refused to give up Bleu when she'd moved on with O'Shea.
O'Shea was not a push over and refused to back down. In the end, the better man won. Bleu had the one who cherished her, and even Tonya was cool with the outcome. A good read.

pure love

Totally enjoyed the love story of Shea and Bleu. I felt really bad for The kids after what Isaiah went through. It’s a shame he couldn’t let that pain go and just co-parent a be there for his kid’s

OMG

This book was really really good I couldn’t put it down it’s sad how Isaiah couldn’t handle the fact that Bleu had moved on the ending really didn’t surprise me at all because he showed his jealousy and possessiveness throughout the book but I’m sooo glad Bleu found her soulmate

This was an excellent read!

Isaiah was obsessed with Bleu so much so that he couldn't treat his wife Tonya correctly even though she opened her heart to love him in spite of all he'd put her through causing her to begin to hate him! Bleu opened her heart to love again after she got out of her messed up situationship! Oshea was a breath of fresh air and he fell in love with Bleu and the girls and the feeling was mutual! It was sad when Isaiah did what he did but karma is real! In the end Bleu and I Oshea did get their happy ending! Great read!

meh!

Ugh. This had all the right ingredients to be great IMO, yet something didn’t resonate with me. All of the characters seemed flat to me, less dimensional. This could be a case of the writing style not meshing well with me. But some of the feelings I was expecting to experience, especially for a story with a heavier underlying theme, never happened.

I’ll give the author another shot. But this one just didn’t work for me.

I really couldn’t connect to this story or these characters. I found myself powering through instead of enjoying this story. The plot was just meh. The crazy ex story was just a little too much and I wasn’t understanding the motivations for some of the decisions made throughout. I also wasn’t sold on the main couple, they were a bit boring. Overall a good premise that needed something extra.

Romance with a twist of urban....

Mrs. Brown has dropped another masterpiece for the readers and in her literary vault. This book touched on vital mental health issues. Isaiah put the "n" in narcissism with all of his foolishness and obsession. He had so many women at his disposal including his wife you would have thought Bleu would have been a distant memory. It was refreshing that Bleu worked and healed from the toxic hold that Isaiah had on her. O'Shea came into her life at the right moment. The chemistry between the two of them was steaming from their first encounter. He made sure that once he zoomed his focus on Bleu he was all in. You can tell he was a family man because he took to the twins. The twins loved his personality and how he would join in on their dancing. I loved how the twins had two different personalities. One was an empath while the other was a realist.

This is a book that gives you urban with a mixture of romance. You will fall in love with the twins. You may get a little 😡 at Isaiah and his mess. You may also feel some kind of way about how Tonya came at Bleu and the twins. Bleu made sure to get Tonya's thoughts straight, that was my favorite scene. I have to say I was glad that Tonya finally got to be free and life live on her terms. She was literally Isaiah's "ride or die" for years and he took advantage of it. It was other couples introduced in this book and I am lowkey hoping 🤞🏾 they get to tell their stories. Chantel and Corey's relationship was oozing toxicity. Tashi and Armon seem to be hot and heavy. The only other couple was Parker and Chico but they weren't making a lot of noise. This is another explosive book, you just get into it. It will grab your attention.
