Rate this book
"I love you, I love you, I love you. A million times over."

Most of the universe doesn’t know about the a group of people that work outside of time to better the future. Acquisitions Editor Alice Goetz had no idea they existed until they enlisted her for a “simple” mission to improve the get Paul Osmund to sign his book to her publisher.

After years of reliving the same few hours over and over, Alice realizes simplicity is never simple. She gets the contract, but the mission isn’t quite over, and staying on longer is dangerous. Paul is falling in love with her every time, and despite fighting to stay aloof, she’s falling too.

Alice has known since she first started working for the Darkers that she and Paul couldn’t be together. If Alice doesn’t accept that fact, she may change the future in ways no one intended, and the deeper she goes, the more chance there is that Paul could die on every timeline in which he exists.

This was a really imaginative time-travel tale, filled with twists and turns! I was rooting for Alice the whole time. She's an extremely likable character, and I love her conviction! There were no lulls in the story, and it wrapped up rather neatly, which can be hard to do with this sub-genre!

A wonderful and engaging read
This time-travel science fiction novel is a rollicking read. Although it's not my usual genre, I thoroughly enjoyed this story.
I was immediately drawn into the character's plight, and the world L.P. Masters created. I finished the book in a single day.
This lovely story hinges on the plight of Alice Goetz, an acquisitions manager, as she tries to convince Paul Osmund to sign a publishing contract with the company Alice represents. She's able to manipulate time to refine her persuasive patter but that's when the drama begins. The concept of manipulating time to get it right, the dark forces controlling Alice's job and the universe outcomes, and the unexpected consequences, combine to make a fast-paced and engaging read. The characters, plot and romantic twist work together well.
Great read.

I'm sure, like me, you'll be sufficiently captured by this story to finish in one sitting; a time travelling science fiction tale with strange elements and a core love story theme.

The author cleverly delivers a throughly readable narrative, balancing light sci-fi with believable characters and an intriguing mystery plot.

There's nothing that will keep you from enjoying this fabulous read, and I recommend it for all genre preferences.

An Acceptable Future isn’t the kind of book I’d typically pick up. Thankfully, it was a risk that paid off. It’s not often you come across a time-travelling love story set in the future with an editor and a novelist as it’s main characters! It had me hooked from the outset, and I read the book in one sitting I was so taken by it. Pacy, well-written and clever, I thoroughly recommend it.

Suspenseful and satisfying read

I really enjoyed this book! It kept me guessing right till the end, and turning page after page to discover what imaginative situation would crop up next. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes short science fiction/romance stories with unusual twists. Very well done L.P. Masters! I'll be searching for more of your work.
