It took me forever to find the manga to buy without it being expensive. With that said, it was certainly worth the wait. The plot of the manga mostly follows key events that occur in the anime of the same name. This is important since the manga is filled with brand new events that never occurred and different outcomes to certain fights. One problem with the manga is that, if you came into it by watching the show, you might get disappointed by how many changes the manga goes through. Certain characters do not exist in the manga, and others barely show up.

Mitsuhisa has certainly delivered on the art and the humor though. I know that I can read this volume repeatedly on that alone. The battles are what keeps me hooked though. They contain different twists and transform the show that left me stunned. When I say battles I do not mean just Buddyfight matches. The first volume contains quite the bit of injuries, from fights to random events, that makes you wonder what you will see next.

If you ever get the chance to buy this, do it! It can be enjoyed without ever watching the show or playing the game. It is different from the other trading card game based manga (Cardfight Vanguard and Yu-gi-oh for example) so you'll not feel like you have seen this occur elsewhere.
