Even a Loss of Memory Can't Stop Them

4.5 stars - What starts on a super sweet note quickly turns to devastation when Beau has a crash. What comes next for him and Fiona would challenge a saint - and that might be exactly what she is. It's a poignant story that does pack some heat and surprises.

2.75 ⭐️ Amnesia romance novella

Beau is a professional race car driver happily married to the love of his life - Fiona. After a tragic accident, he loses any memory of the last 5 years... which means he has no recollection of his relationship and subsequent marriage. He's always been a player and the thought of being tied to just one woman feels impossible. Who is this woman yapping to him about a life he doesn't know?

I mean, this was interesting, but I was actually excited to read one of these stories where the character actually gets their memories back. Spoiler alert but, this isn't it. He never remembers their relationship. I was disappointed, and I felt like the amount of angst is way to much for a such a sort novella, and since the mmc was an absolute wh*re in his earlier years, he treats her horribly after the accident. It was so hard to read about. There is a HEA, though, even if it felt rushed.

Beau Wallace is in a professional racecar driver. He loses his memory of the last 5yrs in a horrific crash. When he wakes he doesn't recognize his wife, Fiona and she is devastated. It becomes worse when she brings him home, only for him to leave and go live with his younger brother. Over months, he begins to miss her and although he has no specific memories, he keeps feeling impressions of her. He returns home to see if she still wants him. Liked the ending, but had hoped for a bit more.

Can they rediscover their once is a lifetime great love

His First Time: Beau is the third book in the His First Time series. It is the story of married couple Beau and Fiona Wallace who have been married for five years. This is an emotional story that will have your heart racing and your stomach clenched at times. Beau is a famous Indy car racer who is trying to win the Indy 500 race in his hometown. Fiona is normally there at the start of the race to give him a proper kiss and help settle him down but today the helicopter has been grounded because of fog and there is gridlock around the racetrack. So it is a kiss and a promise over the phone and his headset that will have to do. Unfortunately something happens when Beau is trying to pass on the outside and he ends up having kissing the concrete wall hard. When he wakes up in the hospital there is a pretty woman who he eyes up and when he asks if she is his nurse her expression crumbles and she is devastated. It turns out that he has suffered a traumatic brain injury and lost all memory from the last 5 years, so everything with Fiona he cannot remember. Fiona is hit hard as Beau is the love of her life and he has always taken good care of her and made sure she got everything she needed. Now the role is reversed, which she can handle, but Beau is not the man he was in a lot of ways. Things are tough for both of them and it gets even more so once Beau is allowed to go home. After a while Beau actually moved out of the house and in with his younger brother, Nick. Nick is not exactly the influence that Fiona wants Beau around, as he is a hound dog/skirt chaser extraordinaire. But several months later there is a knock on the door and it is Beau. Now the question is whether they can find their way back to each other and the love they shared?

I am not going to lie as this story is a gut punch and you just feel for Fiona. She has the great love of her life and then he is snatched away suddenly, even though he is physically still there. The ending I loved though as it is a beautiful and sexy coming back together. I very much enjoyed this book and would recommend it to other readers.

The strength of that woman!
This book is about Beau and Fiona. Beau is a racing car driving legend on the track, but there is one major race that eludes him. Fiona is his wife, and the woman who stole his heart and transformed him into a devoted, one-woman man. But a cruel twist of fate changes things for them. Beau loses control of his car and crashes, sustaining a head injury. When he comes to, he sadly has no recollection of his wife and the wonderful life they share together. It’s heart-breaking…
Fiona is understandably devastated and very upset. She puts on a very brave face, while her heart must be absolutely torn apart. They go through a lot of upheaval and changes as she tries to reconnect the dots for Beau and their life together. As time passes goes on, he starts to remember tiny snippets, and Fiona gets used to this ‘new’ Beau
I was never really convinced that he was invested in regaining his memory, and reconnecting with his wife and their former life. Truth-be-told, I found him to be quite the tool for most of the story. I was really hoping that Fiona would get some of that genuine happiness back. I give this book four stars.

Charming amnesia story. I enjoyed this book and I am sure that others will like it too. The story about a racing car driver Beau with retrograde amnesia following a car accident and his wife, Fiona, the love of his life. The problem is, that following the accident, he can't remember the last 5 years of his life. The story takes us from before the accident through to the hospital stay and his release into Fiona's care, about their journey to each realising that you can't just bring back the past at will. The author handles the change, the self-doubt and guilt Beau goes through along with his desire to not be defined by his past. Fiona's heartbreak is realistically portrayed and when you thought there would be a no resolution to their situation, the reader is rewarded with a HEA . My only comment is that it is a shame that this book was so short, there was enough material there to make it into a full-length novel.

This is the first time I've read a short MF story from this author, and I'm a bit... I'm not really sure of the word even. It's like I'm waiting for the guy to really remember her but I guess he didn't. Although the premise of the story feels like it should be good since it's like the guy loved him the second time around but everything feels rushed. Don't take me wrong, I've read a lot of short stories before, and I didn't have any complaints before. It just feels off that the wife was always complaining about how he's not the same anymore and showing his husband how he's full-on disappointed with him while he's suffering from amnesia. I know someone who had this before in my family, and the case is you really have to be patient with them.

But since I'm trying to think of this in a reader and an author's perspective, I guess the loving her all over again without me knowing her trope is kinda good so I'm gonna give this a 3.5 star.

Beau is a racing car driver and married to Fiona and there love and chemistry is so strong but when Beau is in a bad accident on the racing track but when he wakes up he can't remember his wife Fiona and the life that they have had. Fiona is devastated when Beau doesn't remember her or there marriage and the specialist can't tell her if and when he will recover his memory. What will happen to Beau and Fiona if he doesn't get his memory back, will it be the end of there marriage. Omg I loved this book so much and even though it is a novella I still recommend you read it as it is so well written and definitely worth reading.

Beau Wallace, the race car driver has an accident in the track that causes short-term memory loss, specifically the last five years. The years he’s been married to Fiona.

After many trials, and moving out of their shared home, slowly memories and experiences start to spark Beaus memories of Fiona. While there are still gaps, he remembers needing to share things/experiences with Fiona and this leads him back to her.

It’s a quick read, but as a reader you are not shortchanged as it still contains the vital details, their relationship, some sex, and a happy ever after

This story was a bit of a heart-breaker. Fiona and Beau seem so madly in love but in a blink of an eye things changed. Luckily Fiona is a strong woman and things worked out in the end. This novel was entertaining and sweet in some way with a bit of steam thrown in.

Though it be little, this story packs a mighty punch. The authors have done an amazing job of showing the differences in Beau’s personality as he transitions through his memory loss: before, during, and after. They also show us pretty clearly how those changes impacted Fiona, and my heart absolutely broke for her. I particularly loved the ending, already knowing what’s coming for Nick, and now I want to know what’s going to happen with Adam.

Lost Memories

Fiona and Beau were married for five years, and everyone was envious about their attraction to one another. Then, one accident on the racetrack changed everything. Beau could not remember Fiona. Would their marriage survive the disaster?

There are some emotional moments as Fiona navigates through the challenges of a husband with a head injury. Can she revive the memories? If not, will Beau fall in love with her again? I enjoyed the story and would recommend it to those who like short romance. This is a short, steamy read about the power of love.

I loved Beau and Fiona's story. He's a jerk, she's a saint, but she knows that somewhere inside the man he is now, the sweet loving husband that she shared everything with.
This book is sweet, romantic, heartbreaking and steamy. A great, short read and a good addition to the series.

Falling In Love Again -
I had so much fun reading Beau and Fiona’s story, with all the back and forth, as well as the painful times that they went through. There were moments in this book where I actually sobbed, but my heart was soon filled with happiness, by the end of the book. This is a quick read, that will keep you on your toes.

This is a well written short story with strong characters in Beau and Fiona. The author does a great job packing a ton of emotions in a short amount of time. It's a sweet yet heartbreaking story that pulls at your heartstrings. She paints her scenes beautifully and moves the story fluidly. I loved reading their story and would recommend this book.

This well written book 3 in the His First Time Series is an interesting story with unique, well crafted characters. It is a short insta-love romance with an alpha man and an innocent woman. These characters are well-developed for a short story and you fall in love with them. The chemistry is instant with these two and the story flows smoothly and is great sweet story. Beau and Fiona's story pulled at my heartstrings because of everything these two go through. It's a short story but it's packed with so much emotion, passion and heart.
