Bella Juarez is originally from San Antonio, Texas and now lives and writes on a small ranch in South Central Texas. She draws inspiration from the real life heroes and heroines of the United States military and her many experiences in the twelve years she worked within that world as well as from her life in the civilian world. Her love of thrill and adventure are reflected in her stories. When she’s not writing, Bella runs a business and is active in the business community. She also runs half-marathons and loves to be in the kitchen whipping up something.
SAVING ME is a very quick but enjoyable read. Juarez managed to give a story that felt complete that actually encompassed a little suspense with Angel's mystery stalker. There is also a lot of heat when Mike enters the picture through an unusual service. Mike's relationship with Angel also ends up having a nice twist.
The only problem that I have with SAVING ME is that I would have loved to have had more. Juarez made Mike and Angel interesting and likable so I really wanted to get more in the way of both character and romance building. I also would have liked to have gotten more of a storyline with Angel's brother Marc. The little nuggets about him that Juarez drops would be enough to give him a book of his own with a well deserved HEA. See? This is why short reads are so hard for me. If I enjoy it, which I did; I want more, which I do. However, if you are looking for a quick, sexy, and enjoyable short read SAVING ME is a safe bet.
**I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.**
When Michael Brannan and Angel Rivas last saw each other, things were not exactly hearts and flowers. Giving in to peer pressure, Michael broke Angel's heart, and she's never forgotten it. But when Fate brings them together again, Michael will do anything to show Angel how much he's changed.
Saving Me is the third book in the Knights of Red Horse series by Bella Juarez. It's a short hot little read, a quickie, if you will. I enjoyed the book well enough, but I really wish that there had been a lot more development of the characters. One minute Angel could barely tolerate Michael, still stinging over his rejection in high school, and the next, well, they more than kissed and made up. Although the two had known each other before, this felt a lot like insta-love, which always gives me pause. Had the book been longer, I believe that I would have enjoyed seeing how Michael and Angel's relationship unfolded over time, and seeing each of them evolve as people. As it is, I'd give 4.5 stars for the steam factor and the fact that the book is well-written, with a final rating of 4, because I really really wish that there had been more of the story to sink my teeth into. But, if you're looking for a super-hot erotic short, grab this one, as it just may be what you're looking for.
Michael wants what his bosses and friends have found. So when they set him up with Madame Eve he gives careful thought to what he wants. Never did he expect his deepest regret from his past to feature so prominently in his future, but in Saving Me by Bella Juarez he gets a second chance. Will he blow it? Angel has become something she never thought she would be…a model. But she is even more than that she is an enterprise. The only problem she has no time to just be. It doesn’t help that she is being stalked. But she takes a moment to enjoy a night out, never expecting to come face to face with her worst childhood memory. She has never forgotten Michael or the way he made her feel both before and after he humiliated her. I love that even with Michael and Angel’s history Ms. Juarez allowed each character closure. This story is well written even though it is a quick read. Ms. Juarez gave us two well rounded characters and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing them work toward a loving future in spite of their past. "Be careful what you ask for. You will get it." I am really starting to think that the "person" who runs this website is Fate herself.
Wanting to find a man to keep her safe and love her, Angel contacted 1Night Stand. What she doesn't know is that the one guy who she loved in high school and who had scorned her did as well. Mike regretted what he did. For years he followed her career. Now that he has the opportunity, he won't let her go.
A romantic story of "it's a small world" or that fate can't be avoided.
This may be a novella but it does pack a big punch. A little danger, a little paranormal spookiness and a lot of love all rolled up into one great story.

Bella Juarez never fails to deliver. Saving Me with it's Knight in camouflage coming to the rescue, scorching hot sensual breath play scenes and High Fashion fantasy all come together for an extraordinary finish to the 1Night Stand trilogy. One might hope Bella changes her mind one day and brings us more of this fantastic storyline.
