About the author

I am a life-long avid reader, a retired English teacher (high school and college),wife, mother, grandmother, and a later-in- life published author. I never aspired to be a writer, but one summer day in 2013, inspiration came calling and nine months later (can't resist the metaphor!) Convergence was born! In May of 2020 NFB published my second novel, Dark Riddle. My third book, A Deeper Dive, Book #1 in the Merrill Connor Mystery series came out in May of 2023. Book #2 in the series, Boulder Point, will be available in June of 2024.

I can only describe this book as thought provoking. There are so many different ways the culmination of events could have gone. The reflection on fate and "convergence" in the book is reminiscent of life's everyday questions of "what if?" What if I had left the house 5 minutes later, would I have still gotten into that accident? What if I had never been invited to that party, would I have still met my husband? ...the questions are endless. In some ways the "what if's" in the book deal directly with the decision to answer the door, and the decision not to. I really enjoyed the book. The writing brings you deep in a short amount of time (or pages) and the ending doesn't disappoint.

Unlikeable characters, pompous plot, plodding narrative. Wanted to like it but could not on any level.
