I wrote a whole bunch of notes about this one, because I was reading on kobo, and it doesn’t share to Goodreads and I deleted them!
So from memory
Grace the forensic person loves Starbucks Lattes, in one chapter we hear about he talking to Michael, and him saying he will bring her one, then we hear about him driving to Starbucks to get it, then we hear aboit him getting it, them we hear about him giving it to her. Seven more times in the book. We got it Michael always brings Grace a Starbucks lattes.

The story is told in a few people s point of view, and it is done well at times, but usually feels redundant
- Tess’s POVTess’s hone rings, its Michael, he tells her so and so is dead and she was the last to talk to them. He is sending her to a safe house. She runs around their house and into her bedroom to get some things she will need ( except they aren’t at home, they are at a cabin they rented)

- Michaels POV Michael talks to his “partner and tells him he is going to call Tess and tell her that he is sending a car to take her to a safe house.
Still Michaels POV. He calls tell and repeats word for word the conversation from her POV

This happens six or seven times

The forensic person can do a murder autopsy in 45 minutes and have all the test results and Micael can identify them from memory

Done. Even though I had 25 other things that bugged me.

Deep Dark Forest

Another good read. However, I did run across several typing errors. But did not hurt the story. Characters are likable or I should say the good guys are and the bad ones not so much. The reading is easy.

I really enjoy the triple POV of the story - Yes, Detective Michael has the main role but ME Grace and investigative journalist (and fiancee) Tess add lots to the flow of the story.

[It was only 16 times but maybe get coffee somewhere else.]
