Talk about two people connecting, Tamilya and Marcus have fireworks sizzling between them constantly. Working together at TFH was going to be a struggle due to their intense past relationship. They had a very casual fling years ago in DC but emotions got mixed and someone had to back out. Now, Tamilya has a family with her new team which is important when she faces an old festering case. I loved how strong and intelligent Tamilya is and Marcus appreciates and respects her for it. Always good to see the other teammates and their spouses again. The team is part of the series, a new couple but different case each book, each is a standalone book. The whole series has intense suspenseful situations, hot steamy moments and unique friendships. I received an early copy and wrote my review voluntarily.

Tamilya left the FBI after the last assignment went sideways and her boss ensured the blame lay with her. She is now working for Task Force Hawaii but she finds herself working on the same team as Marcus, the man who broke her heart five years ago.
Marcus regrets that he ended his relationship with Tamilya and has never forgotten her. She is determined to keep their relationship strictly business, but he is just as determined to prove that she can trust him and to give him a second chance. As the danger around them escalates so does the heat between them. Will they be able to find out who is behind the threat before it is too late?
It was great to get to know both Tamilya and Marcus as well as to catch up with the characters that we know and love as the story takes us on an adventured filled with heat, suspense and twists.

I really enjoyed Marcus and Tamilya’s story. These two had an intense relationship years ago and Marcus broke it off because he got scared. Now they are working together at TFH and he realizes the mistake he made 5 years ago by letting her go. I really liked how he supports her 100% when it comes to her knowledge of the case they are working on.
The TFH team has always been a family but you see how each member supports everyone during good and bad times. I enjoy the “Hawaii 5-0” vibe with action and adventure.
I've been a fan of author Melissa Schroeder's Task Force Hawaii series since the beginning and always look forward to reading the next book.

Marcus Floyd and Tamilya Lowe have history, he broke her heart, and now they are working together. As Marcus is determined to rebuild Tamilya’s trust in him, they are searching for the terrorist threat it’s becoming more and more apparent may be right at their back door. This is an extremely intriguing tale full of surprising twists, plenty of drama, fast-paced action, and hot, steamy passion. It’s an extremely engaging and entertaining story you’ll find hard to put down. I highly recommend this wonderful addition to this amazing series!

I like this series, but this one was blah for me. I didn't get the connection between Tamilya and Marcus, even hearing about their fling in the past didn't seem to make them more of a couple.
I guessed the bad guy early on and why. Not sure why the rest of them didn't see it.

Action impact on multiple levels. I love the book. It was action between the main characters and the mystery that had to be solved. Protection and conspiracy theories and trying to guess how the measure was going to get solved was exciting. Two main characters, Marcus and Tamilya, had a lot of unresolved conflicts between their short-lived fiery affair. As they go through the mystery as a team trying to figure out the conspiracy theory of what ended Tamilya’s career, they are brought together again. There is a fire between the two of them that was smoky and just as dangerous as the conspiracy theory they are trying to solve. Very well main characters, supporting characters were also interesting and fun to read about. Love the ending, I didn’t think it was as mushy as some can get. You know the kind of make you roll your eyes and close the book before you read the last sentence. Loved it.

I understand that you have to give some background, especially when your characters have a past. The first 30% of the book just kind of dragged along for me. It took me longer to read the first part than it did the last two thirds of the book.
I have to say that when it kicked in for me, the book did not slow down until the last page. I loved the fact that Tamilya was a strong, intelligent, wonderful at her job badass. I think I loved it even more that Marcus understood and respected it. That connection was almost as good as the sexual connection they had with each other.
I didn't care for Tamilya's FBI boss at all. It kept coming up about how much Marcus disliked her. I felt like it had to be more than Addie throwing Tamilya under the bus, but I never felt like a satisfactory answer was given for his dislike.
Top all of the mystery off with the suspense, action, intrigue, romance, sexiness,and add in the TFH ohana, how can you help but have a winner?

Marcus and Tamilya have a past and now that they are working together in Hawaii that past is rearing its head. The two have great chemistry but their past still haunts them and even a hot night together doesn’t heal old wounds. When the enemy comes calling Marcus is not about to let go of the best thing that he has. I really enjoyed seeing these Marcus and Tamilya find their way. She is a strong woman and Marcus is grateful and respects her for it. Their story is fast paced and full of emotions and action. The author keeps this series fresh with each new couple. It is nice to revisit this world and its characters when each new book comes out.

Melissa Schroeder's latest Task Force Hawaii story, Wicked Temptations was a great read. That had a lovely mix of suspense and romance. And I was really drawn into the story, particularly with the relationship between Tamilya and Marcus. Which was hot, engaging and great to read. As was the team dynamic and I loved the introduction of new characters, who not only fitted in flawlessly, but added some humour to the story and I'm excited to read more about them. And as always the setting was great, and I felt like I was right there with these characters solving the crime and enjoying a Hawaii sunrise or two. So I would happily recommend it to others.

Tamilyn was set up to fail for the FBI when she took the blame for the fallout of a bombing. Since then she has tried to do the best she can at her new job for Task Force Hawaii. There she starts working with her old boyfriend, Marcus. Marcus got scared and broke things off with Tammy after she told him she loved him. When things heat up between the two of them, they really heat up! I loved this book! So much action and mystery. Melissa is so good at writing these kinds of books. She keeps you on your toes. I have loved this series since book one and am hoping for many more.

I really enjoyed this second chance romance. Marcus balked when his passion fueled relationship with Tamilya veered into deeper emotional territory. His bad decision has resulted in recriminations and hurt feelings. Tamilya has endeavored to move on focusing on her new job since leaving the FBI. However a case from her past has reemerged with dangerous consequences. Add into the mix her still strong attraction to Marcus, and his determination to reignite what they had. I liked the combination of intrigue and romance, as these two likable characters found there way back to one another.

Book five in the Task Force Hawaii series a well written story that kept me turning pages. Wow imagine a killer being that close and no one knows. Tamilya Lowe and Marcus Floyd's story has suspense, drama, danger, twists, turns, a villain closer than they realize, and romance. I hope there is more in this series. Marcus and Tamilya are so great, second chance romance theme here and I'm a sucker for couples making it work. Relationships with co-workers are bound to come with complications and watching a couple work through them is always fun. Add in the support crew from TFH and there's something to keep you up late turning the pages. I can't wait for the next book!

What can you possibly say about Melissa Schroeder that hasn’t been said? Nothing!! This incredibly talented woman has so much creativity, that it blows me away every single time....as Melissa Schroeder leaves me sitting there in awe, time and time again. In short, I love her work! Really enjoyed new addition “Wicked Temptations” to the “Task Force Hawaii” series and can’t wait to read more from this author and this amazing series. Absolutely recommend

Wow! Melissa can definitely write and she brought it to the table with this one!!! Marcus & Tamilyas second chance love story keeps you on your toes trying to figure out who's the bad guy along with their budding relationship. Their ohana FTH plays a big part also! I love how Melissa brings so much together so beautifully.

I enjoy the Task Force Hawaii series very much and this one did not disappoint. Great characters with intense connections and interactions added to a story line filled with suspense, mystery and steamy sexual chemistry made this book impossible to put down! A must read.

hot nights, sexy task force members, and bombings, old FBI foes and all the steam hawaii can come up with! Tammy and Marcus have their work cut out for them, along with the rest of the TFH crew there is a big case to solve and it will take all of them working together to get it figured out.

Suspense, intrigue, and wicked attraction. Tamilya and Marcus are partnered together but their past gets in the way. The heat sizzles until they finally break and give into what should have been before. Love the characters and the wonderful descriptions of Hawaii. Never disappointed with a book by Melissa.

Ms. Schroeder has again written a romantic thriller that was filled with intrigue and a little bit of suspense. The TFH ohana is a great group of agents that look out for each other. Autumn, Harry and Adam now need their HEAs.

These two weren’t really a second chance, because neither realized what they had before. Now they know what they lost, and seem to be on opposite ends of where they were. It takes a bit, as it does, for them to go for broke and risk it all for their HEA <3
