I was a fan of the American band "Genesis" ever since the mid-80s. (Not to be confused with the British superstar band). The liner notes of that one and only Genesis album referenced Fred "Foxey" Rivera as the bass player, then serving in Vietnam no longer with the band. I looked for more information about Mr Rivera and couldn't find any. Coincidentally, I found Fred on Facebook and saw that he wrote this book. I bought it immediately and read it from cover to cover in a day. If you like Vietnam-era non-fiction, this book is a must read.

Not a topic I would normally read, but I was introduced to Fred and after talking with him and learning about his book I gave it a try. I was surprised to find that it was well-written and engaging all the way through. I learned things I didn't know about the Viet Nam war I had protested in my teens. Good perspective on a tough topic.
