Three separate stories with different couples!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙💚❤️
Steam: 🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘
World building: 🌏🌍🌏
Character development: ☺️😟🥰
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroines: Elise, Freya & Bron - her dream job was pouring over ancient manuscripts, digitizing them and helping the authorities in retrieving black market antiquities. Though jobs at the British museum don’t come up often, so for now she works in HR at a real estate agency. Her father passed away not long ago. One day, her workmate reads her cards, and Elise picks a fae warrior with long red hair and antlers, which her friend said was odd. Freya Scandinavian and is Elise’s cousin who has an antiquities store and is hired to find a dagger that is rumored to have the ability to kill frost giants in norse legends. Bron is Irish and comes from a long line of fae hunters who have a centuries long beef with Killian.

The Hero: Kian (a.k.a. The Blood Prince), Bayn (a.k.a. The Winter Prince) & Killian (a.k.a. The Night Prince) - Kian brought his people out from their imprisonment of 1500 years in Fairie. He took a human captive, the only one that saw him, when all the others couldn’t. Bayn is a grumpy and broody fae prince who wants a chance to break his curse once Kian found a way to break his. Killian is the oldest of the three brothers and is a bit of a black sheep.

The Story: On the way home from work, A fae army arrives, led by a prince with long red hair and antlers. They take Elise hostage while all the people around them were tearing each other apart without even being touched by the army. Kian hated humans but took Elise with his people to Fairie. He did not like slavery but made her his slave from the start so she would always be his. He was cursed and the curse is taking its toll. He thinks he will die soon.

Kian plans to eventually conquer Albion (England) to pay them back for their imprisonment. Elise does try to kill him at the very beginning, but she learned her lesson and ends up in some sort of magical cuffs. She is directed to clean the palace. Kian ends up learning that Elise has the blood of his enemy, she is a distant relative of the king that banished the fae. She is also key to removing his curse. He is cursed with the need to drink blood, Bayn has a heart that is slowly freezing, and Killian kills whomever he touches.

Each book in this series compilation features a different couple. I liked that Elise and Kian came first, their story explained much about the curses and reasoning behind them. Each story was cute in its own way, though I thought it was weird that each of the three women were from different geographical regions.

This audiobook was told in multiple points of view via dual narration. It was narrated by Lucas Webley and Michelle Sparks. They both have great voices and speak with a British accent. Michelle has a soft feminine voice and Lucas has a deep yet soft voice which is very pleasant. I am American, so I tend to like American accents better, but these two are great. I wasn’t too fond of the Scandinavian accent, but otherwise the narration was good.

This is one instance that I can say that I really enjoyed every book included in this omnibus. All three of these female characters were strong and none of them were damsels in Distress. The brothers were interesting also, as each of them had distinct personalities that made sense with each of the heroine's. I can't wait to continue the series with the Ironwood books that follow.

Love this series! Personally the 1st (Kian) and the 3rd (Killian) are my favorites. Excellent narrators and I’m sooo excited for the Ironwood spin off series! HIGHLY recommend if you enjoy Fantasy Romance 😉

I saw this book on the clock app and decided to give it a go as I love fantasy smut, but I couldn’t finish it. Ultimately I felt like it reads like a fan fic. The story was decent but the dialogue seemed unnatural and choppy, the scenes lacked detail (all scenes not just the spicy ones), and the writing just was bland overall.

All books are written 2 POV, th3 FMC and MMC of that book, and also 3rd person, like reading a fairy tale.

Book 1
This is the story of the youngest prince and a human woman. Revenge, a curse, an enemy to lovers ...mate tale.
It's not as deep in world building as some books I've read, but it doesn't need to be.
It's one of those series where each person story is explored as the background story develops.
There is kidnapping, talk of terminal illness, and assisted...well, that would be a slight spoiler.
The smut was good, the banter was good, and the story was okay.
Yes, it is worth a read and no regrets on reading it. I want to find out what happens to the other two brothers. Onwards!
3.4 stars

Book 2
A nice paranormal fantasy romance with a bad arse human heroine and cursed dangerous Faire prince.
Banter, steam, smut, violence, and revenge.
This book reference domestic abuse and focuses on two people overcoming their pasts to take a chance at a happy future.
A good read, easy to come back to if you want a break. But it's not a read, so immersive you need to binge the whole thing
3.4 stars

Book 3
My favourite of the three cursed prince's story.
A false enemy to mate story. And for the prince who wanted a mate, but has given up. A fitting story with a bad ass herione hunter, a godly facedown, and a bit of smut.
We are introduced to a bunch of new characters, the Thornwoods, and given a taste of their personalities enough to like them more than a filling character.
3.6 stars

The female narrator gives the Prince's a posh airy type voice, while the male narrator gives the males more of a rough London guy voice. Don't let it put you off. Still a good listen. prefer the male narrator. His female voices were well done too.

Overall, 3.7 stars

It was okay it wasn’t what I was expecting to read it has to do with mates and magic. The first book had me the most interested after that I slowly questioned why I was still reading it lol however I’m not a person who quits so I just pushed through. But the first one I think is the best out of all of the three

Wein said : “Wrath of the Fae is good”
So I started reading it, despite the covers being absolute trash - in Wein we trust.

Wrong Wrath of the Fae.

Pace is inconsistent, tropes galore and not well executed. But I read all 3 so what does that say about me.

Short & spicy books tend to have lottttts of smut and no plot, but these actually have cool premises and good plots (and lots of smut, of course 😂)! Thank you to my Booksta buddy Ashleigh (@ashleighlogan_ on Instagram) for recommending these!

4⭐️ Kiss of the Blood Prince
🦌What I liked:
- captor/captive trope 👀
- smart, hard-headed captive
- territorial, only-nice-to-her captor
- The FMC: I usually I find something annoying about the human women in a fae story but I adored Elise
🩸Why not 5 stars?
- some parts were far fetched
- blood play is just not my thing
- some instalust

4.5⭐️ Heart of the Winter Prince
❄️What I liked:
- the banter and flirting
- THESE FMCs!!!! I ADORE these strong women who don’t cower to the fae males. Freya has been through some stuff but is still sassy and strong as ever. She is the type of person I WANT to be.
- BAYN! Best Prince so far. A consent king with touch-her-and-I’ll-kill-you vibes
- haters to lovers, fake dating, forced proximity, “touch her/him and die”
🧊Why not 5 stars?
- some of the dialogue is weird and forced
- some obvious twists and predictable endings (these are less than 200 pages each, I don’t expect any more than I got and still really enjoyed it lol)

4⭐️ Wings of the Night Prince
🪶What I liked:
- the FMC!!! Such a BAMF and saves the MMC on more than one occasion
- a TRUE enemies to lovers - like, she literally wants to murder him.
- the bargain 👀 & the dreams 👀
🌘 Why not 5 stars?
- a little predictable
- the MMC revealed two very big declarations because of his temper

The Wrath of the Fae omnibus starts off with Kian and Elise, where the fae enter the human world in hopes to take over the humans. But, it’s not that easy as the back story with the fae x human gets explained as you read on as to why they want this world.

What I loved is that these were quick reads, without complications or heavy world building and the story was intriguing from the first chapters.

Each book follows one of the brother’s and their stubbornness 😂 to rid the curses they have had casted on them.

“𝙒𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙪𝙥 𝙤𝙛 𝙗𝙤𝙩𝙝 𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙙𝙖𝙧𝙠, 𝙀𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙚. 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙥𝙩 𝙗𝙤𝙩𝙝 𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢 𝙤𝙧 𝙣𝙤𝙩,”

Book 2 is Bayn and Freya and I ate this one up, I love a good working together story with quests 😍 His cinnamon roll personality was everything.

“𝙄𝙘𝙚 𝙌𝙪𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙞𝙨𝙣’𝙩 𝙖𝙣 𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙪𝙡𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙢𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙘; 𝙞𝙩’𝙨 𝙖𝙣 𝙞𝙣𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙜𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖 𝙘𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙣.”

Book 3 is Killian and Bron and I absolutely loved this one, I loved the enemies to lovers aspect, the fact she rescued him but also the boldness of Killian trying to seduce Bron.

Pretty interesting plot and the heroines are confident without being obnoxious. The males are strong and it was fun seeing them fall in love with their women. These are quick reads that give you enough plot and romance to keep you interested. :)

3.25 ⭐️ Audiobook — I really enjoyed the first novel, Kiss of the Blood Prince. It was a very beauty and the beast-esque reimagining. Loved the mythology. Heart of the Winter Prince, was good too, I enjoyed the Norse mythology. However, things started to feel a bit immature/stunted and repetitive. I started listening to the third, Wings of the Night Prince, and couldn’t do it anymore. This was a good and entertaining listening for awhile but eventually it just got boring.

If you enjoyed ACOTAR, you'll want to pick this up. Fantasy romance. 3 different strong heroines, 3 different strong male fae. Fated male tropes, s'micy (that's smutty spice) Read this earlier this year. Easy read after reading something intense/heavy.

I needed something kind of mindless to get me through the end of year dulldrums at work, and this did the trick. I liked the concept well enough. Mixing the modern world with Fae and folklore can go horribly wrong, but this wasn't horrible. It wasn't great either, mostly just the lack of real detail about what would happen if a modern country was attacked by magical beings.

The writing was slightly amateurish and the plot of each of the individual stories was a bit blunt and straightforward. The dialogue was very straightforward. Not very witty. Not emotional. Not atmospheric or visually descriptive. There wasn't a lot of character development or inner monologues explaining motivations or feelings about their lives. Only the most basic of backstories are provided.

The first book had a very Celtic warrior vibe. All Stonehenge and blue war paint. Kian went from being vicious and blood-thirsty (literally) to a complete pushover without any real transitional period. Elise and her secret past acts were a stretch in framing her as heartless or tough. It seemed rather anticlimactic in the end and was pretty short, so there wasn't a lot of time to build the emotional connection and show tiny interactions.

The second book ventured into Norse and Viking mythology. I wasn't a fan of the audiobook narrator's accent. It felt like when you mock Nordic accents and are basing it on a caricature. It was also strange that it was only applied in the dialogue and not her inner monologue. It made Freya seem ridiculous to me. Bayn is very one dimensional. I get his curse is being cold-hearted, but he wasn't detached and unfeeling, just an ass. I did like the archeological, academic angle that this book took. The shift from horses, armor and swords in the first to cell phones, tactical gear and guns felt abrupt though.

The third book jumps to Irish folklore and the Morrigan, goddess and fate and war. Killian was pretty soft hearted from the jump. Bron was a bit more gutsy than the other FMCs. The different scenes in this one were a little difficult to follow at times. I didn't get how Bron was able to get to Morrigan's castle when it wasn't in the human realm? Maybe I just tuned out for a bit listening to the audiobook. Either way, it made the whole plot difficult to get into and made Killian and Bron's interactions and relationship more tenuous. None of them really screamed love, more lust. And there were a lot of additional characters in the third book that I felt distracted from Killian and Bron being able to connect. A lot happened in a little bit of time.

This series definitely falls into the erotic fantasy romance genre, but the spice wasn't anything crazy. It wasn't gratuitous but also was more hot and sweaty than soft and sweet. Again, not a lot of emotional depth or development happening.

And the characters in general weren't the most dynamic or well-rounded. The different mythologies were interesting, but did feel somewhat surface level. I've read other series that really seemed to have done some deep research and really immersed the characters in the lore.

All in all, this was good but somewhat forgettable. Maybe not the most well developed writing and plotting. But it was a cool concept and wasn't offensively awful like some other books I've read recently. 🙄🥴

This series follows three fae brothers, Kian, Bayn and Killian and their journey back from Faerie and their curses that are slowly killing them.

After they were banished and locked in Faerie (which I think is a parallel world) for thousands of years, they made their way back to the real world. Book 1 follows Kian, the blood prince, who takes on the more diplomatic role amongst his brothers. All hell breaks loose in London (caused by him) and a young woman named Elise can see through the literal carnage. He’s intrigued and takes her back to his castle, which he erects by Stonehenge. There, Elise is treated as a slave while Kian is gone to foresee his revenge on England. When Kian returns he is enraged at how she is kept, and maybe a little worried that he has a niggling of other feelings, perhaps? Long story short and a few drinks of blood later, turns out their fated mates and Elise is the cure to his curse, which is evident in the return of his red hair and black horns. Not to mention the runes marking their bodies.

Book 2 follows Bayn, the Winter Prince who has taken stock in Scotland. Bayn is very sullen, moody and ready to die when his curse decides to take him. His heart is slowly freezing solid, because he’s cold hearted and that sorceress decided to be poetic. Bayn’s sister in law Elise has text of an old dagger from Odin that kills frosts giants, and just maybe can cure his freezing heart. Bayn sets out to Scandinavia to meet Freya, Elise’s “contact” who deals in antiquities and magical objects. She agrees to take on finding the dagger for Bayn. Unfortunately, they are thrust into a bigger hunt to find out who is trafficking magical creatures and dealing with a nasty ex boyfriend. Bayn is very much “touch her and die” and big shocker, they’re mates as well.

Book 3 follows Killian, the Night Prince who loves a good pint and gets kidnapped while at the club. For 3 years he spends in faerie being tortured by Morrigan, the goddess of war. Enter Bronagh, a human bounty hunter hired to find Killian and bring him back to be executed by the buyer. Killian’s curse is that of a poisonous touch. Anyone that he touches dies within minutes. He was a rather promiscuous youngster and hasn’t touched anyone in 1500 years. Except, Bron has touched him thrice since they’ve escaped his cell and what do you know? She’s still here. The rest of the story follows them returning to Dublin and the return of Morrigan from faerie and stopping her and her generals.

Overall really loved this series! There looks to be several spin offs involving side characters so excited to read them.

Read if you enjoy:
- Moody MMCs
- Strong FMCs
- Fated mates
- Fae and other creatures
- Touch her and ☠️

Kiss of the blood prince: 3.5 rounded up to 4⭐️ love the concept of this series. The fae return to England after 1500 years bent on revenge on the bloodlines of 3 kings who killed fae innocents and helped curse three fae princes. This is the first prince’s story, Kian who has been cursed to crave blood and violence. He kidnaps Elise, an average woman who he’s drawn to and makes her his slave. They each are confused by their feelings for each other and then Kian figures out that they are mates. Over time they fall for each other and she convinces him to give humans a chance. Elise and Kian have great chemistry as well as a fun push and pull. They bring out characteristics that balance each other. Very curious about his brothers and what their mates will be like.

Heart of the winter prince: 4⭐️ Bane is the winter prince and slowly freezing to death. He goes to Norway to get the help of an antiques dealer to find a knife that could break his curse. He meets Freya, Elise’s cousin, a badass fiery Viking descendent. She’s awesome and takes no shit. She’s his mate, which he figures out pretty quickly but doesn’t tell her because he thinks he’s too broken. Honestly, she took having that kept from her much better than I expected. They have to deal with her absolute garbage human that is her ex and discover that he’s into supernatural trafficking. Bane goes apeshit and destroys his stuff, freeing one of the women. They end up finding others but not before the ex kills their target and takes the knife. They have to go to him for a deal and he stabs Bane. He’s fine but that’s when Freya accepts the mate bond and goes apeshit herself. Bane and Freya have great chemistry and banter. I enjoyed their story.

Wings of the night prince: 4⭐️ I loved the chemistry and intensity between Killian and Bron. Bron’s family have been supernatural hunters for generations and believe that Killian will kill them for an attempt on his life by their ancestor. Bron took on a bounty for Killian who was kidnapped and kept captive by the goddess Morrigan for 3 years. Bron doesn’t want to like him but quickly falls for him. He realizes that she’s his mate but doesn’t want to tell her with Morrigan’s impending invasion. One of the things I love most about these two is how Bron doesn’t play down her skills and Killian only wants to watch her kick ass. He adores her and wants her to be free and happy whatever that means for her. He’s actually very sweet all things considered.

OOOH I really enjoyed these books!! I read all 3 of these books very quickly and have downloaded the next few books already.

The series starts with the Fae finally breaking free from the bounds that have held them for 1500 years. They return to our realm and cause havoc as they seek revenge against those bloodlines that betrayed them.
Kian is the first prince we meet and he takes Elise (a human woman who doesn't fall under his power) captive in his castle. And so begins the fast paced, sexy story between the 2 of them.
This is followed by the story of Bayn (The Ice Prince) and Killian (The Night Prince). Trust me they are all as sexy as each other but what is so great about these books is how strong the women are. Also, how amazing these men are towards them and how consent is such an important component of these stories.

If you're looking for Fae romance set in our world with some magic, lots of action, great characters and an enjoyable plot line, these are the books for you.

Fae brothers cursed by evil witch, each brothers mate is the cure to the curse the mate is of the bloodline of their hated enemies.

Book 1- Kian: honestly the funniest part was picturing a larger than life fae prince with antlers going toe to toe with a mousy book restorationist. Loved them didn't like the slavery thing though. Fully golden armor though is always a plus.

Book 2- Bayn: grumpy ice prince getting his ass handed to him by the viking daughter of Odin is truly worth everything. ALSO NOT HIM BEING A BOTTOM BITCHHHHH WE LOVE.

Book 3 - Killian: Loved the sass, loved the sex, loved the wings 10/10. Some biracial representation (she was a dark-skinned egyptian in my imagination idgaf) but also with the red hair and Irish accent I may love her and her very big knife.

Honorable mentions:
- the ironwood sisters (book 3) are hilarious as shit
- Bayn being a big baby when Freya didn't pay him any attention for like 2 weeks
- Fae princes who bicker like old women? Priceless.

I am so glad that I stumbled upon this box set! It was such an enjoyable, listen. Yes, you find out pretty early on that the fated mates would end up together, but that allowed you to just enjoy the story, knowing that there would be a happy ending was a welcoming break from the will they won’t they storylines. I am not mad that there is somewhat of a cliffhanger at the end of the third book, because that means we get more from this author. The narrators did an amazing job! I just wish that it was a duet rather than duel narration it would have been great to hear them work with each other rather than one at a time. Lucas Webley and Michelle sparks did so well the books had the right amount of spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️ the right amount of angst, and definitely the right amount of action. If you are looking for a great story, that was well written, and definitely well acted. Please use a credit you will not be disappointed! Enjoy 😉

This box set was an audio book experience for me. I will take this opportunity, yet again, to say that I do wish Goodreads would let one select "want to listen" or Listening Completed" in the categorization. Its a personal pet-peeve of mine that they haven't added this option.

On to better things: I've read all these individual books before in ebook form and I loved them. While this was an entertaining listen and I did enjoy it, I think I preferred the voice in my own head with the ebooks. I preferred the character's "voices"/tone/attitudes that my own imagination created much better I think, though the atmosphere invoked was enough to make it an enjoyable listening experience.

Amazing series and I can't wait for Ironwood

Decided to give this series and author a try for the first time and I absolutely fell in love with this world and the characters. Each story was different but beautiful packed full of action and adventure. I'll be reading her other series for sure now and I can't wait to read the spinoff series with the Ironwoods. I love their hilarious family (Moira and King are the cutest scene stealers ) and finally we will hopefully see mates for Chrissy, Arne and Tor as well.

I don’t like saying mean things about the books I read but I genuinely have no clue what I listened to. At first I was enjoying it but half way through the first book I realized I had no clue what was going on. Then onto the second. Then the third. Same thing written 3 times kinda deal. I don’t know what the plot of the book was. There’s no character development. And I like a good fast paced book but this moved too fast for me to keep up. Overall it kinda became background noise to me when doing house work or going for a walk. The sex was decent at least 🧍🏻‍♀️

Excellent reading !

If you're into mythology, Fae, Elves, ancient gods, lycans, witches and warlocks, humans with supernatural powers, humanity women with killer fighting skills, and major attitudes , then this a series that has then all blended together in a very skillfull way. This series and all companion books are well-written with few editing mistakes that unfortunately has become the norm today. All Ms. Thorn's book is a must-have in any paranormal romance lovers library.
