I am a police officer, and I'm in love with my little sister's best friend. Abigail may be four years younger than me, but I have to have her. Even if she's never been had by anyone else before. I'm a cop, and I love curves, and Abigail has plenty of them....
Shane is book one in the Cops Love Curves series featuring alpha male police officers who love their curvy girls. Around these parts, men of the law are steamy and sweet. Happily ever after guaranteed!
I was really disappointed. It ended on a HFN no epilogue and no I love yous between the characters. They had crushes on each other and then they had sex. It just felt empty. Plus, the heroine was super annoying. Just a let down for me. I wanted to plow through this series of short reads because I was in the mood for cop stories but if they’re like this I’m going to have to pass.
Shane is the first book in the Cops Love Curves series and is a sweet and at times emotional story about Abigail and Shane. Abigail turned eighteen years old last week and is in her senior year of high school. She is best friends with Zoey and when the book opens they are trying to go dress shopping for their prom next week. But tagging along is Shane, Zoey's twenty-two year old brother who is a police officer. Well actually Shane is following Zoey as her ex did not take the break-up well and is acting more than a little stalkerish. Abigail has had a crush on Shane for years and Shane has has inappropriate feelings and thoughts about Abigail since she turned fourteen and started filling out her bathing suit in a very curvy way. When Zoey decides that Shane should be Abigail's prom date this sets off all sorts of events.
This is a fast-paced short story that has a lot going on but it is all woven into a great read. The story has drama, angst, romance, friendship, family, love and some smexy times. The characters are very likeable, even if I did want to smuck Zoey a couple of times for being pushy towards Abigail. This was a fun and entertaining book.
Abigail and Shane first met at the age of ten and fourteen when Zoey brought Abby home to meet her family. Being best friends, they went prom dress shopping together and Zoey gets an idea for who can take Abby to the dance. Without Abby’s knowledge, Zoey calls up her brother and tells him he should take Abby to prom.
Abby is shy, never been kissed, never had sex, and is mortified when her best friend tells Shane that. Soon hot, handsome, older cop Shane tells Abigail exactly what he thinks of her.
Fast moving short story with a HEA keeps you turning the pages. The chemistry between Abigail and Shane is hot and you can’t help but cheer for this couple to get it right.
While Abigail and her best friend Zoey were dress shopping for prom, Abigail didn’t think that she’d find a dress, let alone a date. You see, Abigail isn’t a perfect size zero. She’s been picked on since she was 10, and Zoey has stuck up for her ever since day one. Now though Zoey asks her older brother Shane, who’s now a police officer if her would take Abigail to prom. What Zoey didn’t know was that Abigail has had a crush on Shane for years. Will Shane take Abigail to prom? Will it be Abigail’s dream come true, or is Shane just another frog?
This was a great, quick read. I liked the relationships between all of the characters, I loved how Abigail and Shane came together. If you love very hot, short stories that aren’t just sex with no story, then you’ll like Shane. **Read with my Kindle Unlimited subscription
Ok, I am going to start out saying this was a good book, I ended up liking it. The reason I started the review like that is because I worked with a woman whose daughter broke up with her boyfriend. He silt the tires on the daughters car, like Abigail's best friend. The real life result was my friend was murdered by the boyfriend. She saved her daughter's life though. So I was hesitant to read the book, I was glad nothing else happened to her. Abigail and Shane made such a cute couple. Read the book you'll enjoy it. :)
A steamy but still sweet novella of a young woman's first time. That it occurs with a worthy beau, her bestie's older brother, makes it even sweeter. Shane did right by Abby (mostly), from manfully talking to his sister before pursuing her to gently initiating her into the ways of physical love. I wasn't expecting that she'd be only 18 and they'd be going to prom though. The cover model does not have the look of a youthful 22yo. And what happened to using protection? The editing could have been much better.
I like Kelsie’s quick reads that include sweet and steam. Abigail has had a crush on her best friend’s brother Shane for years. Now she is eighteen and he’s going to be her date for prom. This book has good characters and high steam. I just wish there was a little more to the end of their story. Maybe an epilogue to tell the reader where the couple ends up in the future.

Not sure how someone can speak with their jaw dropped, but apparently this Author thinks you can.
Shane is the brother of Abagail's best friend. He ends up taking her to prom, "the sisters doing". Abigail asks him to take her virginity after prom, so he sets up a honeymoon suite and does just that.
That there folks is where the book ends, after he took her virginity. No ending....
Shane and Abigail will warm your hearts in this endearing story. Abigail is Shane's sister's best friend and they have been glued to the hips since they were in grade school. Shane has been captivated with Abigail since she was fourteen but knew he couldn't be with her. Now she is eighteen and legal. Will their date turn into a memorable one that results in a happily ever after down the road?

A cute novella, about Abigail who recently turned 18 years old and is in her senior year of high school. She has had a crush on her best friend Zoey's brother Shane for years, and Shane has had feelings for Abigail since she turned 14. The girls buy dresses for their Senior Prom, and Shane asks to take Abigail to Prom.
The first book in the Cops Love Curves series a short story of an alpha male police officers and his younger sister's best friend. I enjoyed reading. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The characters unfortunately really acted their age in this book. They were so incredibly immature. The h was also annoyingly insecure to the point it was ridiculous. It didn't even really have much of a happy ending.
I love the short instalove type stories. A man in uniform then in a tux, what more could you ask for? Gave it 4⭐️ because there wasn’t an epilogue. I would love to know their future.
I know it’s a short (and I do mean short story less than 50 pgs) but it seems like the story just ends. There is no conclusion. Cute story but leaves me wanting.
This was okay, I really liked the start but then it just dimmed out of no where for me. It’s a short read though so give it a shot you might like it better.
Shane: Curvy Girl Possessive Alpha Male Romance (Cops Love Curves #1) by Kelsie Calloway – It’s a borderline sketchy age gap, but he does get points for being sweet. Happy Reading!
This was such a cute story. Abigail has had a crush on her best friend’s brother for years. It turns out that he’s like her for years as well and was only waiting for her to grow up. Their chemistry together is sizzling hot and he is so sweet to her. I thought this story was adorable!
