Compared with the previous volume in this series, this one was much better. The stories that I liked, even loved, were~
1. Kim Newman's 'Angels of Music';
2. Rod Rees' 'A Helping Hand';
3. Paul Starkey's 'You're Majesty';
4. Evan Dicken's 'Mono No Aware';
5. Tony Richards' 'Rayven Black in the City of Night';
6. Jay Eales' 'The Revenant'.
Other stories were also readable and pulpy. Hence, feeling rather generous, especially after comparing it with the previous iteration, I'm awarding the book four polished stars.
However, I think I have had enough of this series. In future I would stick to single-author collections.
