Something for everyone... or social skills for dummies. :)

After having this book sitting in my kindle for about a year, I finally got the chance to read it. It was surprisingly a very quick read and very entertaining. So if you are not a reader... this is the book for you!! Extremely short chapters and can literally be read in an hour. I especially enjoyed the little comics and tie ins to magic within each of the chapters. I do have to admit though.... throughout most of the book... I kept thinking this book could otherwise, be titled, “Social Skills for Dummies”. 😉In the age of technology and social media, what may seem like common sense to me may not be to everyone else. I also loved how the author brings in his own stories, struggles and anecdotes to encourage you to do better. All of these chapters can be issues that anyone can come across at any time of their lives. Something you may not struggle with now... may end up being a struggle in the future. There is a topic in the book that anyone can relate to. If not in the beginning... just keep reading. Something will eventually hit you (at least it did for me). There’s even a chapter in there that I could probably print out and hang up on my wall or go back to it again and again as a reminder. And if you are a businessperson or entrepreneur... the final chapters in the end are definitely encouraging reminders for both the seasoned businessperson or even those just starting out in business. If you can master all of these anecdotes... I truly feel you can do very well in life...both personally and in business.

I read through the book really quickly, but I'd like to return to it again, just because it is great advice for life that doesn't really get old. The chapters are short, snappy, and to the point, and I enjoyed the humour and stories used to illustrate different tips. If you read this book, do a few pages a day, and follow the questions for reflection and also the suggestions!
