Karen was a disgrace to her pack. Every steadfast rule that her pack held dear, she insisted on breaking in an attempt to free herself from the bonds of a lineage that had been slowly dying out for centuries. Her brother, the alpha of the Needham pack, was having none of that, though.
Desperate to restore the order of his pack and strengthen their bond to the wolf, he sent Karen away to Sky High Ranch, home of the regional alpha. His hope was for Karen to get the reform that she needed to become a respectable member of the pack.
When Karen arrives, she is surprised to find that Sky High Ranch is run more like a college than a rehab facility or political centerpiece. Nothing is as it seems there, including Carter, the regional Alpha. What Karen thought would be a month spent in boring therapy sessions ends up being a night she'll never forget. Carter's wolf is strong, and he's hungry for her.
This is a short story, does not end in a cliffhanger, and can be read as a standalone.

So, I kinda really like Carter. He's this trying-to-be-playing-the-part player and he's actually got a good heart deep down. Karen is sweet. I almost feel the chemistry and connection between the two, but I think due to the short story, I'm unable to fully grasp it. With that said, that is why I'm looking forward to book 2. Also, I like the fact that Karen's "BBW" body was described more like Jessica Rabbit than Roseanne Bar or Rikki Lake.
This was a quick read, like a half hour, and it was a really good beginning. I have just ordered the second part and can't wait to continue the story. There was no drag with excessive detail or back story. It was fast and fun to read.
This is the first book of a very interesting series. I really enjoyed reading this story. I always root for the underdog/werewolf! (No pun intended) I cannot wait for the next installment.
A nice twist to the Lycan Society. There are always some wolves stronger than others which establishes hierarchy. Here we have wolves so weak due to diluted bloodlines. In steps Karen, her pack is in trouble because of this but also because Karen's wolf has a little too much spunk and doesn't like rules. The last straw was when her brother, the Alpha, found out about her mating with a human. There is a place run by the Regional Alpha, Carter, called Sky High Ranch, where "naughty" wolves go for a month to be reformed. It's no secret that alot of packs send their females in hopes they get pregnant with Carter's pup to improve their bloodlines. Although this is a hope for Karen, her wolf is a pain in the butt and needs true help. Of course sparks fly, fly, fly. It can definitely get sticky due to their places in the packs. Must read!!
It's times like this i wish Amazon allowed 1/2 stars... First the story...Karen is a werewolf of diminishing lineage who doesn't like to toe the line. Her brother who is her packs Alpha sends her to the regional Alpha to straighten her out...can she be reformed? I knew going into this it was a short story but I still feel as though I was left wanting where as other short stories I've read have felt more complete if that make sense. The description was accurate in that it's not a cliff hanger per se but I felt like it was a big introduction to the rest of the story to come. That being said I am looking forward to finding out the rest of the story hopefully I don't have to wait too long!
I was gifted this book by the author and have to honestly say that it had all the things I thought make a good read the laughing and crying and the wanting to hit some one it. I loved that she first seen the three in a dream or maybe as a young girl, but the way it reads makes you have to wonder. The the fact that she is given to them as a way to keep her family safe from harm. But now I want to see where this book is going to go. The author did a great job in keeping you in suspense that is for sure. nice writing K Matthew can't wait to read more I hope.
This was a really quick erotica read. I really enjoyed it. Karen thought she didn't want to be a wolf anymore until she gets sent to a camp that helps straighten out misguided wolf shifters. There she meets the Alpha wolf Carter and once they connect she knows that there is nothing she rather be than his mate.
This quick read presents a different possibility and reason for werewolf mating. It will bring/strengthen her wolf, and it's not the traditional one-mate-for-life thing (apparently.) Well-written and definitely hot, you should read this one!
(I received this book in exchange for an honest review.)
A kind of werewolf romance book. The book was so brief. Quick reading. Karen was the mischievous wolf in her pack. So, Karen's parents decided to send her to the Sky High Ranch, home of the Regional Alpha for werewolf reformation to her. After she went there, She had found her true love. Very handsome & hot guy. Regional Alpha!!! Regional Alpha was her mate. Very interesting & hot novel!
Each story in this series is a quick, very enjoyable erotica read. Well-written and fast-paced, the stories are interesting, captivating, emotional, sensual, romantic, with some angst and drama thrown in. A definite must-read.
way too short of a story ! and the story line to me was not good .... when you talk about mating in a shifter book it's meant for life not just a one night stand also I found the guy horrible so your telling me people send girls there to get pregnant so he has pups all over the country and he doesn't care !!! will not be reading part 2
Okay, so this truly was a dity book. Even though it was written for an adult audience, it was done very well. The writing style was smooth, no grammatical errors and the character POV was easily depicted. I would not recommend this installment to anyone under the age of eighteen. If you're looking for a quick sexy short story filled with an intimate encounter, this is the book for you...
