Rick Renner, author of over 30 books has a new release set for September of 2020. Last Days Survival Guide: A handbook to prepare you for these perilous times. When the book surprised me on my doorstep this summer and I opened the box my first thoughts were, "yep this sounds about right." In the middle of the Covid-19 2020 fest of one new stress-causing event after another, a book about survival is indeed a captivating read. I received this book from Harrison House, @HarrisonHousePublishers as part of the launch team for an honest review.
I have a feeling that many now feel that these are the end times, especially with a worldwide pandemic affecting every part of our lives, from how we work, dress, socialize, and even attend worship services. However, I believe that many individuals in every generation feel that the world may be in the end times
1Thessalonians 5:1-3
Now concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need to have anything written to you.
2 For you, yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.
3 While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as

Because we as Christians do not know when Jesus will return, it is always important to be vigilant and profess the love and saving grace of our savior, Jesus Christ. That is why, even though some points of Rick Renner's book, Last Days Survival Guide: A handbook to prepare you for these perilous times, do not coincide with my Lutheran Christian doctrine, I found much of the book sharing useful information and encouragement that I could apply to my life as a Christian.
Rick Renner is proficient in the Koine Greek language of the new testament so he is able to provide in depth word translations to explain the context of a word and how it applies to the passage in the bible. This makes reading his book very interesting.
Another area of Renner's book that I found very helpful was the end of the chapter action steps. At the completion of each chapter, Renner lists steps to take to stay the course of the guidance discussed through the chapter. Each step comes with a full explanation. I found these steps to be very applicable to my life and an important addition to the book. I sincerely appreciated that in all cases, Renner steers the reader to the truth, The Bible, even when the truth is uncomfortable. God's word as taken directly from the bible, not interpreted to fit societal rules, and then God's word is relayed and reinforced.
I feel many Christians will find guidance and comfort in Renner's newest publication, Last Days Survival Guide: A handbook to prepare you for these perilous times, and I sincerely recommend it.

You need this excellent book! Really! If you have been wondering what in the world is going on these days, then read this book to find out. Have you seen family and friends walk away from their faith and quote crazy theology to you? Are you hearing people say things that just don’t make common sense? Have you heard people say that good is evil and evil is good? Then read this book to see what is happening and how you can live successfully in these last days.
Pastor Rick Renner takes the chapter 2 Timothy 3 that discusses specifically what will happen in the last of the last days before Jesus returns for His church. Each verse of 2 Timothy 3 is expanded in a chapter in the book. Pastor Renner is a Greek scholar, so he breaks down what the words really mean in each verse. At the end of every chapter are Last-Days Survival Guide Action Steps which will help protect you in this last-days environment.
This book is positive and is very helpful; it's not scary or doom and gloom. It's also common sense and practical. And easy to read.

Last Days Survival Guide by Rick Renner is, in my opinion, a book written for such a time as this. Based on Second Timothy chapter Three, this 400+ page book is an “eye-opening survival guide for these last of the last days.
Using his remarkable command of the Holy Scriptures and the Greek language the author guides the reader, word by word, verse by verse through these prophetic verses. As the chapters unfold, you will understand why I say this book is written for such a time as this.
The author covers prophetic scriptures about the end times and how to prepare for them. Topics include; what does the word “perilous” mean and why is God alerting his children, what exact characteristics will mark society in the very last days, what actions to take to protect yourself and those you love, strategies to stop the devil from attacking you and your loved ones.
If you’re concerned about what you are witnessing society -- and even in the Church -- the answers you need to maintain your victory are in this book! This is not a book that is to be read once and relegated to the book shelf. This is a book that requires a second read and a deep study as you watch the words of Timothy unfold before your eyes.

“Last Days Survival Guide” is not just a book but a comprehensive manual. Though the primary concepts in this book were not new to this life-long Bible student, Mr. Renner enhances and clarifies concepts through his references back to original Greek word meanings. His suggestions for how we should respond in these trying times emphasize personal responsibility. A “self-assessment” section follows each chapter to facilitate personal reflection and correction. This would be a great guide for those unfamiliar with the Biblical descriptions of our times and a clarifying guide for those more familiar.

"Last Days Survival Guide: A Scriptural Handbook to Prepare You for These Perilous Times," by Rick Renner is a must have for any Christian who finds himself/herself wondering what is to be done in these days of crisis. Knowledge of exactly how these tribulations are to be faced by God's people is exactly what should be disseminated among the brethren. There can be no wavering and no heeding to false teachings. This book is an absolute necessity.

I have this book on the Kindle and as a large paperback. I read it mostly in the paperback. I took my time, studying and highlighting passages and words as I went. This is an excellent book; it really encourages the reader. Pastor Renner dives into the scriptures, explaining the original meaning of the Greek text. This book was part of my daily reading for most days of the week for over a year. I know I will return to it in the future. Now that it has been studied, my reading speed may improve next time! Highly recommend this book!

Rick Renner is one of my favorite Christian non-fiction authors and teachers. I have learned so much from Rick's books, both as a believer and as a writer. Last Days Survival Guide is amazing. It is a must read for every Christian living in these crazy times today.
I received an advanced copy since I was on the launch team, but wanted to wait until I finished reading before posting a review. It has taken several weeks, not because I'm a slow reader, or the book is hard to read or understand, but because every chapter needed to be read slowly, taken into my mind and heart, and meditated on as I read. At the end of each chapter are Action Steps. They take as long as reading the chapter if you use and act on them correctly, prayerfully, and honestly.
I highlighted many quotes, but here is one of my favorites:
“You can build a wall of protection to keep yourself and your family safe even in these treacherous times. If the devil has attacked you and your family, it's time for you to make the enemy sorry he ever messed with you!”
Last Days Survival Guide tells you how to keep the devil under your feet in perilous times or any day of the week! Order this book today. It will be a lifeline and an anchor for living victoriously in the Last Days of the Church Age.
This book is filled with God’s Word and together with Rick Renner’s personal stories and inspired interpretation of the Bible, they are the foundation for knowing how to not only survive in these times in which we live, but thrive.

This is a very good book; however, I had some trouble getting through it to the end due to the many repetitious parts in each chapter. I know this was done for a reason by Mr. Renner, but it did take away from the actual understanding and readability of the book. The repetition in the book, I'm sure, is for you to remember and be able to recall the scriptures, phrases and paragraphs when you need them the most.
The other thing which hindered my reading was the many Greek phrases Mr. Renner explained throughout the book. Although it is helpful to know what the actual Greek words mean in today's environment, I wish there had been another way to explain them, perhaps in an add on to each chapter instead of throughout the previous chapter. For me it took away from learning and remember what the chapter was actually about.
With all this said, again, I felt this was a good book and worth reading. Perhaps if I re-read it I will be able to understand and retain more of the information Mr. Renner has written about the last days.

Before reading Last Days Survival Guide, I had never read anything by pastor, author, and Bible teacher Rick Renner, so I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect. Throughout over 450 pages, Renner provides biblical evidence, not fearmongering or misreading current events, to prove that we are living in the Last Days. He relies heavily upon Scripture, biblical Greek, and facts to make his case.
Although the book is heavily fact based, the intent of the book is highly practical. Covering a wide variety of topics, Renner leads the reader to recognize the signs of the times and to live accordingly. This means not being consumed by and conformed to the cultural norms of the current world system.
I highly recommend this book and author to anyone looking for a Scriptural guide to the end times.

Author Rick Renner takes us into the perilous times that must come at the end of the last days. Prophesied by the Holy Spirit, there is no way of getting around it. However Renner’s book isn’t full of bad news doom and gloom. He shows us through scripture that we are victorious in Christ. That we have been born in this time on purpose, and that it’s an honor.
This survival guide shows us, as believers, how to navigate the rough waters of this present day. There are practical things such as staying in the Word, attending a good church, and leaning on others so we aren’t alone. Though the times are perilous we can be safe, as can our families, if we follow God’s edicts. I know I will refer to this guide often in the days ahead.
This is a great book for current day believers and I highly recommend it.

We have followed Rick Renner for over 25 years. Read most of his books and listen to his broadcast daily. This book is outstanding and a book for such a time as this. Rick points out how to survive what is happening in your life and around you in this day and age. He is very practical and very thoughtful in his study of every subject we could face. Thank you Rick for a wonderful resource. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of the launch team.

This was my first book by Rick Renner and found much useful information. A couple of drawbacks for me: 1. Too many plugs for other books written by him and his wife, and 2. Too much repetition. Too much repetition. Too much repetition. And if I could set the next sentence apart and make it in bold font, it would say, “Too much repetition.” The book could be cut by 25% without losing content. Otherwise, I found many good things to contemplate.

Did not finish. I just finished trudging through another book by this author, and this one was no better. I just couldn't handle dragging myself through the constant repeating of information, adnauseum. It felt like sitting through the longest, most boring, and condescending lecture ever. I do not recommend his books!

The insight and wisdom provided in the pages of this book are over the top! If you are lover of God's Word and concerned about all that is going on around us today, this book is a powerful road map into all that God is saying and had said concerning the end times. You need this book!

I have read several of Rick Renners books and like them all but this book is over the top with information how we can recognize the timeline of this world. I think this would be a great book for all pastors to teach their congregations. I have re-read several chapters. It is an eye opening book.
