What a story teller! Loved it!

This series is absolutely inspiring, funny and at the same time educational. It's hard to imagine in this day , how hard everything was in the west and even more so for women. We have come a long way and have the "Women in Pants" to thank for bringing to life the struggles they endured and prevailed us even fictionally. You know there were women who wouldn't stand for the status quo and give women a starting point.
My hat is off for the author at such a vivid accounting of life in the West.Well done.

Mary, Katie, Ernestine, Prudence, Ruth, Pearl, Sally and Laurie

This is the third story in this series The Women In Pants written by Stan Himes. The ladies are invited to participate in Buffalo Bill’s Wild West performances in St. Louis and are to be paid handsomely. The only hesitation for them was this was where Pearl had spent several bad years of her life, but all agreed to go and participate. After all these years a man from her past vows vengeance against her and in an attempt at shooting her he seriously wounds Sally. He and two of his good for nothing buddies also rob Buffalo Bull’s attendance money. With Sally’s life hanging by a thread the show must go on. You will have a very adventurous and exciting read.

Great reading

This is the best series about the old west I have read on a long time. It lifts women up to where the should be. I highly recommend it to all western readers.

What a awesome story!

As much as I liked the others in this series, this one is by far my favorite! Could it be the men hustling to met their wives? Or the women standing up for a friend? The crazy things that sneak up on all of them as a total made this book awesome!

Another Engaging Story

I really have to stop reading these books at bedtime. I can't stop reading and bedtime goes by the wayside! I love all the characters and the way the author has matured theme with each successive story. The backdrop of historical figures and women's rights is skillfully woven into the stories. Hard to believe this man wrote females so well, but he did. Adventure, cliffhanger nail biting without any of the graphic gore or really mean twists seen so often. Great story!

Delightful

I am enjoying this series about a group of women helping out a friend, through thick and thin. The tale including Buffalo Bill Cody in this second book is well done and a lot of fun. I recommend this book, and I am off to read Book No. 3.

Grateful to my daughter for telling me about these books!

I enjoyed the story and the characters. The skillful use of wild bill and the travel, communications, and lawlessness proves that times have not changed inspite of technical advances.

I'm not good with words. Like first book this book is full of adventure, a little history, a lot of fun and horses. I love horses. I love the women in this story. It was hard to put it down.

Amazon Read!

I SOooo enjoyed all three of Stan Himes books, Women In Pants! Excellent reading! I would have joined in with them, if around back then. And, if born with the independent mind set that I have today. I grew up with horse's and (Indian style) trained a few! Loved it!!! Thank You Stan Himes for the entertainment! Keep em coming! 😃

They ride once again, to the delight of fans. The Women in Pants gather to work for Buffalo Bill and his tour group. The show is listed as an educational experience for the purpose of the Indians that travel with the show. To the delight of all the ladies, Clean Through and his chuckwagon was also invited to the big event in St. Louis. His cooking was memorable, especially his pies. His chuckwagon was a part of the big event with the Women in Pants to add authenticity, per him. I loved this storyline. In the book, it was a time of women's sufferage and the right to vote, even though the author explains the voting rights, in reality, came twenty-plus years later. Thanks to the author for the Preface with the update on who is who and where they fit in the storyline. I plan to read all the books in this series.
