Rate this book
Let this be your year for personal growth!

Life is like a garden. Complete with seasons of dormancy and growth, preparation and harvest. A winter, spring, summer, and fall of the soul.

Devotions from the Garden is a collection of short faith devotional readings covering topics such as tilling the hard soil, composting, planting, watering, weeding, thinning, insects, harvesting, and blooming as they relate to life.

If you are a gardener or are looking for inspiration to face life's seasons, this devotional guide will plant seeds of hope in your soul.

Readers of this first installment of the With All Creation series might also enjoy Be Like a Tree, a longer devotional inspired the words of Psalms and Jeremiah that focuses on deep roots and personal growth despite times of drought or Creation Declares, which explores God's fingerprints on creation.

I misunderstood what this book would be. I was looking for thoughtful essays on gardening and its spiritual/emotional benefits. This collection of short pieces was only loosely, and not very deeply, tied to that theme. It could just as easily have drawn its inspiration from baking, fishing, or scrapbooking. Warm and fuzzy, but not much substance.
