The hyper-gravitational ship Nexus has located the source of the mysterious signal. But what the astronauts discover next is shocking. Their fate and that of all humanity could be compromised forever.
The first book didn't inspire much confidence but I thought I'd give the author one more chance. The whole series seems to be short "episodes", each ending with "To Be Continued..." cliffhanger. Annoying? Yes. First, there isn't enough happening within each "episode" to motivate me to read the next. And second, whatever happened to telling a whole story: beginning, middle, and end?
The plot and characters are still flat. There really aren't any relatable characters nor is there any real tension or conflict. Considering the book is about a galactic war, that is a huge problem! So now I'm done. I read two books (thankfully they were free) and I have no interest in finding out what happens next. "Meh" is the best I can say.
