This is another exciting book by Ms. Lee. I love how she has a strong male and a strong female test each other and fall in love. Frankie is the town’s golden police detective than can do about anything and is beautiful as well. I loved when Frankie decided she was going into the ER to question a suspect and Dr. Kellen Byrne actually threw her out of the ER. Then her detective partner Mitch took care of her too and insisted she go to ER after a hard night getting hurt on the job. There were fireworks that went off between the two that neither could deny. To say their relationship was explosive is an understatement. There were a couple of cases that were awful and Kellen stepped in to protect Frankie’s health. Kellen was doing his best in the ER, watching over Frankie, and interacting with his witch of an ex wife to see his son that I don’t know how he had the energy. There was a heart breaking case that brought tears to my eyes. I strongly encourage you to read the book.

There are complex family matters and a complicated relationship all tied up in this engaging and captivating tale. It’s a story that will keep you entertained and wanting to read more.
