Welcome to a realm where each planet has a soul that lives on even after that planet's death, searching the galaxy to free other planetary souls from their rock-encrusted wombs.

With every planet they devour they become stronger, bonding with mortals and giving those mortals mutated powers until they can destroy the planet they are on.

Welcome to the realm of the fantastic, where a winged woman fights alongside a cyborg, a telepath, and a seer for survival. Where anything is possible and were-beasts roam the land.

Good is corrupted. Evil is beside you. Faith is lost.

And then...

This novel contains all three books of the completed Nova trilogy. As a bonus, it also includes The Fall of Eon, the prequel to the Nova realm.

I have never read novels such as this trilogy of NOVA. I have read countless stories whilst taking off my writer hat and donning my many-colored, feather-emblazoned reader's helm of imagination. I must say it received quite a workout during this adventure. After the first book in the series, I knew I was on to something rare. Scott J. Toney is a master at divining a scene that becomes more vivid with every word. Then, he will introduce you to wondrous characters, the likes of which I have not seen since reading the work of Tolkien. You can begin to see after making the journeys with Julieth, Riad, Ivanus, and Bayne through this amazing work of art.

I am left with a feeling that I have emerged from the experience with a great sense of having been there through it all myself. A testament to the skill of Mr. Toney and the magnificent creation he has presented to those who enjoy the supreme fantasy adventure. I could see embellishments of other genres as I read the stories. It added spice that made the flavor all the more enticing. There is a bit of romance, not enough to push it overmuch in that direction. Then, the amazing characters who have human characteristics but are also of a different breed. They are so real as to evoke feelings for them in all the ways intended for their roles. I loved some and even felt a certain pity for others who created a good amount of chaos. There are a couple of endearing little creatures that captured the warm spot I hold for such in my heart.

There are surprises and things that made me stop at times, in a good way, of course, to just stare into space and let the entire concept just settle in. This is a true masterpiece that has been so richly crafted, I feel it will be a long time before I find another journey such as this that inspires me to rise to this level of fine writing myself.
