Since Blake Healy was a child, he has seen angels, demons, and other spiritual realities. He sees them with the naked eye as clearly as anything else. In his latest book, he gives listeners a peek behind the veil as he shows them how the physical and spiritual realms connect.
Known for his rich storytelling and vivid descriptions, Healy takes listeners on a journey through everyday events—a trip to a grocery store, a family dinner, a busy workday—and helps them see how what is happening in the spirit is affected by the way we live our daily lives. In the end, listeners
Gain a clearer understanding of how the spirit realm operates
Understand that their actions have spiritual consequences
Learn how the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit can guide them into having a heavenly effect wherever they go.
Ahhhhh Blake is so so good and wise. I could not love his humble, inspiring and Jesus centered writing more. He is def a top 5 most influential writers in my life. I will be relistening to this again in the next few weeks. MUST READ.
This one was a bit slower than his other books for me, but I still liked it. There was quite a bit of repeated content, which was fine, but other than a few bits here and there the overall book fell short of truly inspiring for me. I gave it four stars because three is too low, so I think 3.5 stars would be more accurate. I don’t know if I’d give this one another go, but it definitely wasn’t a waste of time.
I love Blake’s ability to put words to the experience of his gifting and then use those words to place form around that which is formless and can’t really be expressed with words. This book contains within its pages a call to recognize the sacred in what we often designate as secular.
I’ve loved every one of Blake Healy’s books. His ability to describe vibrant and unforgettable imagery that he sees is second to none. He has a way of staying down to earth as he describes very spiritual things. I picked up right away that what he sees are messages. We get them too, but probably in different ways. I read this pretty quickly and I think I will go back and chew the teaching slowly and learn even more. I want to implement this in my walk for sure.
I read this in two chunks separated by a few weeks. So, I'm having a hard time keeping this book separated from his other books. This one had some repeated stories from other books--which is fine as he used them to make more points.
Regardless, this book, as with everything Healy writes does 2 things: lets you get a glimpse of God's huge love for us AND makes you rethink what you know about God, the spiritual world and His interaction with you.
Healy's books have changed me. I will go back and reread them all.
I'd recommend The Veil and Profound Good first before reading this one.
I have read all of Blake’s books. They help those of us who see things and love Jesus more clarity and revelation. I don’t see on the level Blake does but am truly great full to have someone like him that tackles a subject with honor and clarity. If you ever offer a online course would love to enroll. And thanks again for your vulnerability in your books.
This is the 3rd book I’ve read by Blake Healy, and I definitely recommend reading his others first or this one won’t make a ton of sense.
He dives into the reality of the spiritual realm and how it affects our everyday life in every way. He also discusses the difference between what is secular and what is sacred. Very eye opening & gets me hype for ways the Lord is always doing something new.
“If we want to get close to God, we need to grow comfortable with mystery.”
Blake Healy's gift is to give each of us a realistic perspective into the spirit world around us. His book will stir your heart to live your life only for Jesus and to fulfill all He has planned for us. This is such a wonderfully thought provoking book, it will leave you wanting much more.
3.5 stars. The content is good, but it’s my least favorite of all his books. I appreciate his effort to show the significance of the spiritual realm being in all things and nothing in its own right is spiritual or secular. I didn’t mind the repeated stories but I always wish there were more. It’s a quick read and certainly worth the time.
I love Blake's writing. He says the things I want to say but didn't know how to say them about how we connect to the spiritual realm. It's doesn't have to be scary because God is greater. Grab hold of what is going on all around you and rejoice in God's goodness!
The basis of this book was good. My main reason for giving it a 4⭐️ rating and not a 5 was because of the repitition. I would say at least 50% of the content was the same as his previous books.
