For something that's free, one must not complain. So I will suggest things that could have made the book better.

1. The audiobook and the kindle book must match. I finished the audiobook ages ago and wanted to read along with the kindle to nail that French accent. Alas, no matter how much I try, I could never get the pronunciation right, as the kindle book was very different with the audiobook.

2. Pronunciation guides. Why else would we pick up this book if we weren't trying to learn French. It should be obvious that we have no clue how to read French with the correct accent.

3. The grouping for each chapter should have been by gender. French genders do not make sense, unlike Spanish genders for nouns. There is no clear way of figuring out what's the gender of a noun short from memorizing it. However, they did indicate gender for nouns which is good.

That's all. I was able to finish the book in one sitting. It is divided in four chapters: animals, body parts, colors and numbers. Not bad for a free book. I have successfully added bouton and ride to my French vocabulary. Which basically just means pimple and wrinkle, consecutively speaking.

ngl i listened to this and it was kind of useful but if i’m 100% honest it took me more effort to understand the english speakers thick american accent than it did to understand the french. sometimes i had to use the french to work out the english word

Most of which I knew. I was disappointed because I felt It should have included more. However,
This is great for a beginner.

Very basic French

This would be great but does not give pronunciation instructions. Making them neat but less helpful. Still if one wants to see the word it works

Good book

I've learned a lot from this book. It contains many basic words and sentence structures which help first learners easy to build simple sentences. My score for this book is 7/10.

This book is short, but informative. The pictures given are a nice touch.

Plus: each word is used in a sentence or two, and is easy enough to translate on the fly if you took a year or two of high school French.

Minuses: 1) Short length 2) The book did not provide many of the plurals of the words, which for the body, can be confusing. 3) Some of the terms chosen seemed arbitrary.

Still, I enjoyed it as a quick brush up to see how much French I remember.

For a free ebook, this wasn't bad. It lists vocabulary in themed sections, gives you the gender of the noun, and some examples, as well as links to a free audio download with native speakers.
Not bad for free.
I'm not sure if it would be good for someone who is just starting out in French though, as the vocabulary isn't exactly useful in everyday (fruits, veggies, body parts, colours, numbers from 0 - 10) but it is a nice recap, and I did pick up a few new words I didn't learn back in GCSE.

Don't bother.

Actually, I would give this a very low score. I just wanted to brush up on my French. For a beginner there are no pronunciation guides. I don't think that anyone needs to know how to say PIMPLE ON THE NOSE.

Te enseña vocabulario sencillo por categorías y te tienes que descargar un audio para seguirlo. El problema es que el audio va más rápido y no lee todas las frases de ejemplo que vienen en el libro, entonces es dificil de seguir.

Great for children not for adults

Not helpful in my journey to learning French since I doubt I'll spend a great amount of time discussing Brown horses eating four grapes
