Tracie Tanner #7

The Soviet Assassin

Rate this book
Tracie Tanner works in the world's most dangerous hot-spots.
On the most high-stakes assignments.
And she works alone.

Actions have consequences. Tracie Tanner understands that better than most. She is about to discover just how devastating those consequences can be.

Last winter, on a mission to root out and eliminate the driving force behind a Soviet assassination program, Tracie tortured a KGB operative to extract critical intelligence. In a fateful decision, she spared the Soviet operative's life.

Now that man has returned, vowing to extract the ultimate vengeance on the woman who humiliated him and left his career in a shambles.

But killing Tracie Tanner will not be enough. He is determined to make her suffer first.

And someone close to Tracie will die.

The seventh installment of the critically-acclaimed Tracie Tanner thriller series is the most personal and devastating for Tanner yet. Once again operating alone and without backup, she must hunt down the man who has made it his mission in life to destroy her and then take her life.

And she must do it before anyone else dies.

With non-stop action, plot twists you'll never see coming, and a tough, dedicated - but fallible and surprisingly relatable - heroine, THE SOVIET ASSASSIN will leave you breathless until the final shocking page.

No good deed goes unpunished, and the super-killer whose life Tracie once spared wants Tracie to suffer for humiliatingly besting him. He strikes hard, before Tracie figures out his intentions, and the contest begins with her being emotionally off-kilter.
My favorite scene is the one where Tracie deals with a likeable KGB agent sent by the super-killer to keep tabs on her. The unexpected outcome of that encounter reveals the person Tracie has become.
A fast read, and five-star entertainment.

The Soviet Assassin is a fabulous spy thriller with a bad-ass red-haired CIA covert agent that just may be my newest heroine. There’s so much accuracy in the details, it feels as if you’re there. This is a transcontinental nonstop action espionage thriller with so many layers. I definitely think this is a 5-star must read!

Another excellent, fast-paced instalment of the Tracie Tanner series. That's the good news.

The bad news is I only have one more book to read in this series before I have to find something else to read.

The Soviet Assassin Lives…or does he?

Great premise. Good story line. Not predictable. Continuing characters in this series are not concrete cutouts…they respond to difficult situations and then change as human beings would. Looking forward to the next book.

Another Solid Entry

The central plot of this series is intriguing. Good action here but also some scenes weighed down with too much dialogue.
