The past can cause sadness or bring hope for the future. In this story, the characters have their own unique life situations and deal with those situations very differently. Can trust be built again? Can sharing a life story with someone help with healing? Read and find out how the characters handle their circumstances. Great story.
I enjoyed it enough to finish it, and I like the Parker boys(men). This Parker son is the handsome and almost bad boy reputation NFL baller. However, his reputation as a bad boy could be challenged. As a perceived bad boy of the NFL, he lands in a little trouble. The Team leadership hires the beautiful Castell Bruer to help clean up these players image. The Parker’s have used Cashell’s form before, so she is familiar with the family. The author takes us on numerous journeys as she knits together a sweet love story for Sweet Cashell and NFL bad boy James Parker. The journey is not easy forget and these two just have to figure it out.
One dislike, the author didn’t provide enough details about-how were Brax, and Bobby handled for their roles of destruction.
What an awesome way to end this series. True loves always win no matter what kind of trouble may come your way. The story also shows that you can’t always chose your family but you still have the power to determine how it impacts your life. This is my second book by the author and I am looking forward to reading the first book in the series.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book by the author for an honest review.
Was a good book. Loved the story of the Parker brothers and especially watching James and Cashell relationship grow through all the ups and downs. Wish I had known this was a series because I’m the person that needs and wants to read them in order!
This review is based on the Arc provided by the author and/or the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.
James and Cashell had many obstacles in getting to know each other. The jealousy of his teammate and his biological brother was crazy!! I love the bond between the Parker brothers and their wives. Hannah and Kira are something else! I truly enjoyed this series. Buy it you won't be disappointed.
A truly enjoyable read! I would recommend this book to everyone. I consider it a privilege to read and review books before they are published. Thank you NetGalley.
After meeting at a hotel and enjoying each other's company, James and Cashell have to interact in a work environment. His 'past' and her health problems cast shadows over their growing relationship, but they gradually work through the problems - only to face a still more fatal opposition!
I enjoyed this story, but felt that it was somehow lacking something. The main characters were well-drawn, but the suspense side of things felt incomplete and not properly connected to the overall plot. Also, the whole thing with his mum felt like a bit of a loose thread at the end. Watching James and Cashell work through their problems felt worthwhile, and his issues regarding his adoption were dealt with sensitively.
All in all, not my favourite book, but it was still not a bad read. Overall, the writing was pretty good, the content was clean and the language good. I'm not really a football fan, but I didn't feel that that detracted from my enjoyment of the story. I also haven't read the previous books in the series, but it's sufficient of a stand-alone that I didn't feel lost.
Note that I received a free copy of the book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review and this is my considered opinion of the book.
Fatal Opposition is a well written inspiration romance. I loved the plot and the characters. The author is new to me and I enjoyed her writing. I recommend this book to readers who enjoy a good clean romance.
This is the first book I have read in the series and it is a super read for a quiet afternoon and although it is a Christian romance you don't have to be religious to enjoy it I'm not and I really liked it.
Fatal Opposition by Tracee Lydia Garner is book 3 in the Parker Family series. In this book, Cashell finds herself alone in a bar on her birthday after her friend cancels on her. There, she meets NFL player James Parker. They quickly click and find themselves together more than they expected. This is a good read and can be read as a standalone novel. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.
This Read was outstanding. However there were some spelling and error issues throughout the book but it sure didn’t stop the good quality action and romance that transpired through this book to alter at all. Trisha I feel like is in a way an ultra ego of mine especially when it comes to her love for children and teaching which is something I have done myself for over a decade and I feel as though she has inspired me to do what I was born to do but in a different way. There is also Chase who is the father of one of Trisha’s second grade students; Thomas who is such a caring sweetheart and just reading his character truly touched my heart. I absolutely love Chase and how is heart and mind matured so nicely for not just for Thomas but for Trisha as well. This book had a really good family dynamics in it as well as lessons to be taught and learned when it comes to matters of the heart. I cannot wait to check out the sequel and see how Trisha, Chase, Thomas and Trisha’s siblings turned out. I will be reading a lot more books from this author at any given time. This was such a heart felt, inspired, family dynamic love story type of read.
I can honestly say, I had never read one of Tracie Lydia Garner's stories. I found her writing was different than the usual romantic plot. This story included romance, intrigue, a sort of mystery, and many twist and turns, that I found it hard to finish. I kept wanting to re-edit it, to make it a more precise read. I do confess, "I received a complimentary copy of this book and all opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
