J. Kenner introduces us to her brand new series Man of the Month and boy Mr January is mighty fine… I’m a huge sucker for the friends to lovers’ trope, in fact it probably is my all-time favorite trope. I love the anticipation, the angst and seeing how relationships can move and change from friendships to so much more.

Reece, Brent and Jenna have been the absolute best of friends for most of their lives, the Three Musketeers as they were sometimes referred to. They know everything about each other and have always been there for one another. True friendship is hard to find and they have always been each other’s constant, through the many curve balls that life has thrown their way.

Eight months ago while in the process of moving from Austin to LA, Jenna had farewell drinks with her friends. It turned into quite the drunken event and Reece really went above and beyond protecting and looking after Jenna, ensuring she arrived home safely by carrying her inside.

Reece started to then see Jenna in a whole new light and started to develop feelings for his best friend that he had never felt before. He saw Jenna the woman, not Jenna as one of the guys. While helping the rather inebriated Jenna that night, it took all of his strength to walk away from her.

“…his thoughts still on Jenna, as wild and intense and impossible as they’d been since that night eight months ago when the earth had shifted beneath him, and he’d let himself look at her as a woman and not as a friend.”

From that night, Jenna consumed all of his thoughts and the intense feelings he had towards her did not die down while Jenna was in Los Angeles. If anything, they were amplified.

Eight months later things are about to become very complicated for both Jenna and Reece, when Jenna announces things in LA have not panned out and has decided to return home to Austin.

Reece is fully aware that due to his new found attraction things could get weird, but knows he has to deal with them otherwise risk losing his best friend forever. He’s not prepared to do that though because it has to be Reece, Jenna and Brent forever.

This new found attraction and longing is not all one sided though, Jenna too has started to feel an intense attraction and longing for her best friend ever since that drunken night eight months ago. She feels such an electrifying chemistry that whenever Reece is around sparks would fly. How will these two life-long best friends deal with their new feelings they have developed and will they risk everything to be together?

Down on Me was such a fun, fast paced friends to lovers story that entertained me throughout. This is the first book in J Kenner’s new Man of the Month series which will consist of twelve books in total and I am really looking forward to the second Hold on Tight, especially if it is as hot, steamy and enjoyable as the first.

I would definitely recommend Down on Me to all fans of the friends to lovers trope. This story consisted of characters that I adored and whose chemistry was off the charts…..hot and intense. You are sure to fall in love with Reece and Jenna and the way their relationship changed from friends to so much more.

Let me tell you, it was not a hardship picturing Reece as the guy on this cover. I would buy the paperback just for that cover! It helps that I loved the story as well.

This is a friends to lovers story between Reece and Jenna. They are part of a trio that grew up together. It’s always been Reece, Jenna and Brent, best friends forever. However, lately Reece and Jenna have been feeling more than just friendliness. Thinking the feelings are one sided and too scared to break up the trio, they both struggle with their feelings.

While book one of the series focuses on Reece and Jenna, the overall series plot is about these three becoming partners with their boss and friend, Tyree to help him save his bar, The Fix. With Jenna’s marketing expertise, she comes up with the idea to have a contest for men to compete to be a part of a Man of The Month calendar. They are hoping the contest will bring in new customers, as well as using the calendar as a fundraiser to save the bar.

Each book will focus on a new couple and the winner of that months calendar. With book one read, I’m already looking forward to Tyree, Brent and Spencer’s story. I can’t wait to see what new characters will be introduced in each book of the series.

4ish stars.

Overall and surprising enough an enjoyable read. See spoiler for why it shouldn't have been.
I had a lot of fun with this book. It is upbeat with some angst but very entertaining.

Reece, Brent & Jenna have been best friends since childhood. Only 8 months ago things changed. Reece sees her for what she is. A beautiful woman. Not quite willing to take that step he lets it drop and she leaves the next day for LA.

Jenna has come back to Austin it didn't quite work out in LA. She comes home to her family. And to the attraction that she left behind for one of her best friends. They both notice that it has become awkward and that something has changed but they need time to come to terms with it. Once they do they are all in. A romance from friends to lovers. There is inner monologue of push and pull because the dynamic of their relationship has changed or will change which was somewhat repetitive.

Reece is a bit of an arse but he has good character development throughout the book. Although he is an arse I still really liked him. God knows why if I'm being honest.

Jenna is a strong and sassy heroine and she stands up for what she wants but she doesn't give Reece a chance an unfair ultimatium IMO.

With all books there is the buildup of the romance and then a spanner is thrown in the works. This spanner is slightly predictable but the grand gesture isn't too bad.

The setup of saving The Fix on sixth street which is their local hangout is interesting and a lot can be done with the series. I like the author's writing style it flows well and is easy to read. I don't know if I'd read any of the other series by this author.

I’ve signed up for all twelve books ambitious, right? So, fingers crossed peeps. In a way I’m glad that I have because the secondary characters here are amazing and I’m sure that they are going to get their books.

Down on Me (Man of the Month, #1) by J. Kenner delivers exactly what it promises. A start of a new series with the pull of a new couple to root for every month. In this first entry we are given the relationships of the main players, how they have become this solid group of family and friends and learn of the the bar, The Fix, and how the original owner is in trouble.

J. Kenner has the skills to pull you in from the start... maybe not in the most hearts and flowers way... but catch your attention it does. From the first paragraph, we meet Reece, part of the main trio who have been best friends forever. The other two are Brent and Jenna. These three have always been there for each other. Through parents divorcing, through Brent's disastrous marriage with the miracle of his baby girl, through absolutely everything. Together as best of friends...

Up until 8 months ago, Jenna was just one of the guys...but on a drunken goodbye to Austin and starting a new career in Los Angeles, Jenna got toasted and Reese experienced feeling something different...

He saw the woman, not the girl...and from that moment he knew he was in trouble. Oh, he was her protector that night, getting her home and making sure she was ok...But that was when things shifted. Feeling her in his arms as he carried her into her home, he had to stop himself from doing anything he so wanted to do...To kiss her, touch her, make her his...

Now he has a huge problem. Jenna is moving back to Austin and she will be around all of the time. Reece is will have to suck it up and be the friend he always has been... It has been him, Brent and Jenna...

Jenna is glad to be back with friends. She had a crappy time out in Los Angeles... job from hell and now she will at least have her support system close by. She knows she should feel like things will be fine and back to just how they were always between her, Brent and Reece... but deep down she knows she is kidding herself.

Jenna remembers almost everything from that drunken night... Reece dancing with her, carrying her and her somehow ending up in her bed in the morning. She has lulled herself to sleep with dreams of Reece, of wishing she had kissed him when he held her that night...But she also knows she would never do anything to jeopardize her friendship with Brent or Reece. They mean too much to her to risk it.

Reece is the manager at The Fix and Brent is in charge of the security. The owner,Tyree, bought the bar years ago and it was doing fine. Unfortunately, with the popularity of Austin booming, there has been more competition and big franchises with cheaper drinks. The Fix, though, has a strong steady group of regulars and presence in the community. When Brent, Reece and Jenna learn of Tyree's difficulties, all jump in to help.

Jenna knowing wedding and event planning immediately thought of the Man of the Month Calendar contest with her best friend Amanda. With the right promotions, marketing and social media it could take off and be a huge driver for business. Convincing all of the guys this is the way to make it happen, the contest is on.

What else is on is the undeniable attraction Reece and Jenna feel for each other. Reece knows he is a ticking time bomb and it will only take one thing that will set him off...All he wants is this woman and somehow he will have to show her.

This is the start of the series and Kenner gives us plenty of hints as to how all of the people will come together. We are introduced to characters with enough back story to cause us to think about what may happen months from now. There will be plenty of adventures and lots of hot times...guaranteed, especially if they follow the path Reece and Jenna took.

This was a quick read... the concept of friends and lovers working together to save an established local bar. There will be twelve books, each specific to a couple with laced with enough drama and smoking hot times Kenner fans will love. Hold on Tight (Man of the Month #2) will be next in line and looks to be fun...

*A little bit spoilery, but I have to rant*

You know what bugs me the most? That I dropped everything to read this book as soon as it arrived on my kindle. I am a huge fan of J. Kenner and I wanted to read this book so bad. Then Reece happened and he ruined the book. Wanna know why? Because he slept with Meghan in the first paragraph of the book. We got to read that and after their horizontal dance he took her out for a drink, where Jenna found them. As if that wasn't enough later we learn that Reece hadn't slept with another woman after the incident he had with Jenna and he chose Meghan to end that dry spell on the night he was supposed to pick Jenna up from the airport. So, not only did he blow Jenna up, but he also chose to spend that time with another woman. I have a feeling Meghan will be a heroine in one of the other 11 books. That is going to be fun. NOT. Fast forward a couple of chapters later, Reece is getting jealous when he sees Jenna with another man while he brought his one night stand to the place he knew Jenna would see her. He didn't have a right to act like he did. Then he said that he had feelings for Jenna for a long long time. And that's where I lost all hope for romance in this book. Stuff like that make me believe that Reece and every other hero who has slept with another woman while he was in love with the heroine, could do it again. I wanted him to be more committed to Jenna. And honestly, they could have spent all the time that was wasted on Meghan doing something else, like I don't know, exploring their feelings for each other? Getting from friends to lovers? Because I wasn't sold on their relationship. It needed more time to develop and convince me that these two should end up together.

I read this book two weeks before this review was written and I still haven't gotten over Reece's awfulness. I have put him on the worst heroes of all time list and he ain't going anywhere else. The whole Meghan thing ruined the book for me because HE HAD FEELINGS FOR JENNA. If he hadn't even met her yet, I would have had such a big issue with the book. I might have even enjoyed it, but I just ended up getting frustrated. As long as something similar to this situation happens in the next book, I will be happy. I will forget about Reece (Jenna was good) and I will pretend that the series begins with Hold on tight.

3.5 stars.

This was an okay read. Which sucks because I love J. Kenner's work. But I was bored and I started to skim. Meh. It might just be the case of 'it's me not you.' I just felt like there was a bit of unnecessary drama that could have been avoided at the end.

But that's not to say I didn't love the characters. Because I did. Especially Jenna. She was badass, in my opinion. I absolutely adored her.

I'm pretty sure there's something wrong with me. Ever since I started reading M/M I've had difficulty coming back into the M/F genre. There just seems to be so much unnecessary drama. I still love J.'s books and I'm still looking forward to what else she writes in the future.

Friends to lovers
Hero realized he had feelings for the h 8 months before but he couldn't go there and ruin the friendship yadda yadda yadda so after months of celibacy he decides to be woth another woman when the h comes home so he'll not cross any lines. We know he enjoyed sex with the woman which isn't descriptive but clear he had a time
Eventually they confess that they each had feelings for each other for a little while now
I didn't think enough time was spent on the romance as quite a bit of the story was about saving the bar
The separation was dumb as hell she didn't even give him a chance to think she fled like any dumbass romance h does

All in all it was ok but really the cover was the best part.

From Friends To Lovers

Spoilers ahead:

The decision to read this book took me out of my comfort zone. I don't like "friends to lovers" romances. They just don't interest me and I don't want to read about a MC (typically the male) who has tons of relationships/women and the other MC (typically the female) who has very few romantic interest if any. All the while they have to "see" the other all the time with different dates and so on. Just not my thing.

But this book was written by J. Kenner. And I loved her "Most Wanted" series. And the cover of this book is too delicious. So I jumped over my shadow and read this book. Without trying to invest my poor feelings, because I knew there was OW sex scenes. Which I hate. but I kept an open mind.

I could finish the book. In some cases I just get so angry/disappointed (mainly in Hero) that I just want to throw my book away in a corner, never to be found again. Can't do it, since reading ebooks.

This book was too tame. I couldn't believe it was J. Kenner who wrote it. It was almost boring, nothing happening.

The first scene did me in. I didn't want to read about him having sex and getting his pent up energy and frustration out of him. OMG no. This was very childish of him. I mean the hero was celibate for 8 months!! Since he discovered his feelings for the heroine were more than friends. It could have been perfect! He should have picked her up at the airport and all would have been lovely. He had the willpower for 8 months, why oh why did he have to sleep with this woman? And of course said woman is an acquaintance of the heroine and totally sweet. And perhaps we see her in a future book, with Griffin. They seemed to have a connection.

And from then on the Hero reads like another person. A tamer and lamer version of the first introduction. So my opinion: This first scene with the other woman had absolutely no need to be written. It didn't help the story. It didn't make things interesting. It was totally unnecessary. It was just shocking and a little bit disgusting.

The story itself was rather boring. Nothing really happened. I didn't feel any connection between the hero and heroine. And because of that I wasn't really invested in them.

Plus points for the Hero: he decided he needed/wanted the heroine, be in a relationship with her. He didn't back down, stood up to his feelings. I like that in a hero.

The drama about the marriage was a little bit over the top. And resolved very quickly.

Overall I can say it was an ok read. A little boring and slow at times. It read like a high-school story. Without all the drama and ups and downs.

I want to read more about Griffin. But please not with Megan, that would be so weird.
And I loved Brent with his little girl. He was the only mature one in this whole crowd.

I’m super excited about J. Kenner’s new Man of the Month series and Down on Me was a great start to the series!

Reece and Jenna have been best friends for years—neither has tried to move their relationship beyond that because their friendship has been too important. Until they just can’t deny their feelings any longer! I loved their best-friends to lovers story! I truly enjoyed their characters and their concern about the potential harm to their friendship. And how their relationship may affect their “Three Musketeers” friendship with Brent too. It was fun, sexy and smart, not too much push and pull to leave us in suspense. It just worked for me.

And I love set-up for the rest of the books too. The Fix on Sixth bar is a terrific central point for all the storylines. I love the concept of the characters commonality with the bar. So fun and I can’t wait for the next one in the series! I have a feeling Spence and Brooke's story is going to have some fireworks! ~ Missy, 4 stars

DOWN ON ME by J. Kenner is book One in the "Man of the Month" series. This is Reece Walker and Jenna Montgomery’s story. Reece, Jenna and Brent have been BFF for more than majority of their lives yet Reece and Jenna have started lately to feel more than friendship. Reece has had to fight the attraction he started to feel for Jenna and he thinks she doesn’t feel the same. He doesn’t want to break up the trio’s tight friendship on his feelings that he now feels for Jenna, not realizing that she , too, has developed feelings for Reese. Whenever Reese and Jenna are around one another, their chemistry is evident and sparks fly. How will these two life-long BFF deal with their newly developed feelings for one another and will they even take the chance on a relationship or will they sit back and let the chance of their blossoming relationship die out? This is a beautiful story of three friends , two who find themselves in love with each other and they are not wanting to hurt the 3rd friend with this newly discovered feelings. I loved Reese and Jenna- they are smart, intelligent, sensitive yet they held deep passions for one another and were good friends to Brent. I liked the start to this new series and look forward to the next book in this series.

My Rating: 4.5 stars *****

Overall, this was a decent story. I loved the friendship that Reece, Jenna and Brent shared. Best friends for life, they knew everything there was to know about each other and supported each other in all things. And that's where my problem lies. Jenna knew Reece. She knew his hangups. So why... why when they FINALLY get together... why did she try to change him? And not only change him, but give him an ultimatum to try to force him to change?

I stopped liking Jenna after that. All of her thoughts on how to sway Reece to her side made me physically ill. If you love someone, love them. No conditions. No doubts.

Thank you Netgalley for the book. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I was underwhelmed and overwhelmed by this at the same time.

It was underwhelming because while the synopsis was promising, it fails to deliver. Perhaps I was expecting too much? Another reason why I was underwhelmed with this story is connected to the very reason why I was overwhelmed by it.

Too many characters. Too many names. At one point I felt like I need a mind map to recall who's who and who's connected to who. My mind was overwhelmed with this array of characters that I feel disconnected from the story because I was too occupied trying to connect all these characters together.

I get that this is the first book in the series and maybe the author is trying to establish the premise of this series but is it really necessary to throw everyone into the pool so early in the party?

Down on Me is the first book in J. Kenner’s Man of the Month series, and it’s a wonderful start to what promises to be a collection of novels that will grip me until they are all out. Each novel features a favourite trope from romance, with Down on Me starting us off with the friends to lovers trope. It’s an oldie, but a goodie – there’s a reason it gets used so often and us romance lovers continue to enjoy it.

I will admit to the story being somewhat predictable. You know it’s a friends to lovers story, you know our male lead is going to be picked to be January’s man of the month, and when some facts come out you know another trope that will be coming into play. However, despite the predictability, this story was really enjoyable. It is short, allowing you to complete it in no time at all, and everything within the story leaves us wanting more. I admit it is not quite a full four-star rating, but it was so close I had to round it up.

I think the biggest thing I loved, however, was the set-up for the rest of the series. The romance story within this one was a lot of fun, but we were introduced to so many characters and we can make some guesses as to what tropes they will be – beauty and the beast, single dad, and second-change love being just three of the ones I’m super excited for after being introduced to the cast of this book.

I admit this book will not be for everyone – as it is working on tropes, anyone looking for something new and shocking will not find it here. Those looking for things they know and love, those wanting to follow a big story told in the former of twelve smaller love stories, will certainly enjoy this. If you’re sitting on the fence, unsure, I suggest at least giving this one a go – I wasn’t completely convinced I would love this before I jumped into it, but I enjoyed it so much more than I had anticipated.

Honestly, I’m so excited for book two. The epilogue gave us an insight into Hold on Tight, and I know we’re going to have a lot of fun with the second-chance romance story.

5 Star Review Down On Me (Man of the Month #1) by J Kenner
J Kenner is a relatively new author to me as I have only ever read one other book and honestly I have no idea why.
This is the story of Reece Walker, a confirmed bachelor and Jenna Montgomery, a woman he has know most of his life and has lusted over for many months; a friends to lovers story.
Down On Me is not a long book, but boy does it cover a lot of ground. Fast paced, I was riveted from the first chapter; I loved the blurb for the book which is why I jumped at the chance to read and review.
What happens when friendship suddenly morphs into so much more? Reece has no idea how to handle his feelings for Jenna and is in turmoil. Throw in the fact that unbeknownst to him Jenna feels the same way and you start to see how life suddenly becomes so complicated for Reece and Jenna.
Do Reece and Jenna risk their friendship and roll the dice on love, or is it purely lust which may well fizzle out? Purchase Down On Me to find out.
The characters were easy to relate to, not only the main characters but the supporting ones as well. I thoroughly enjoyed this extremely well written and entertaining story and I cannot wait for the next book in this series.

Easy reading .. sometimes I just don’t know if it bothered me or what
Nice characters ,the chemistry hot between J and R , also the friendship between them three but seemed that the author was forced to put a little drama at the end ( and really they broke because a piece of paper that only J wants ? Don’t know what to think ) and in like a few pages was all resolved.... hope are in the next book ....
give me your impressions 🙏🏻

Down on Me is Kenner's first novel in her new series, Man of the Month. And she wastes no time in getting us right into the thick of the story.

Reece and Jenna have been friends forever. However, one night before she leaves for LA, they both find themselves feeling more for another than friendship. But neither says a word to the other in fear of ruining a great friendship.

On top of the sexual tension that these two battle throughout the book, they are both trying to help save their local bar from getting shut down. Their friend Brent is right there along side them working with other friends and family to do the calendar project. We get an inkling of what is to come from the author in the following books and this series.

It was a tad difficult for me to get my head wrapped around the 3rd person narrative (which isn't for everyone). But once I was able to get myself in that mindset, everything flowed perfectly and the characters became more alive.

Overall, it's a hot and steamy start to a great series and one I am looking forward to reading.

Reece, Jenna and Brent have been best friends since school. But Reece and Jenna have been starting to feel more than friendship. Known for her Stark Trilogy, J.Kenner has developed a brand new series that will definitely turn heads, inspire one clicks and be top sellers for sure. Her work is recognizable around the world and I am sure her Man of the Month series, beginning with Down on Me, will pave the way for the rest of the books that are yet to come. Each book within the series will have a different trope to it, all while encompassing the same plot.

Three best friends come together, partnering to save their favorite local bar, The Fix. Brent, Reece and Jenna have been friends for years and have seen it all, leaning on one another during hard times. Dating disasters, family hardships, moves separating them, but bringing them back together. But none of them have dealt with an intense attraction towards one another and this emotion is one that Jenna and Reece can no longer hide.

“No matter what happened next everything was going to change, and they’d never be Reece and Brent and Jenna again.”

All three put their heads together to bring in money, to bring business into The Fix. Jenna, recently back in Austin from LA, brilliantly concocts a Man of the Month contest to include a monthly sexy man bidding that men will compete in earning a slot in a calendar shoot. With Mr. January underway the social connections are already setting the bar on a positive path.

All while saving the bar, Reece and Jenna are finding that their ‘friendly’ friendship has taken a turn and a new emotion has arised… lust. Feelings have always been on the surface, but now they face a new struggle on how to conquer this new attraction without risking their friendship. Neither one has had a good marriage role model, so when a surprising occurrence arises, both must come to a decision. Can Jenna and Reece take their friendship to the next level?

“Love is supposed to open us up, not close us off.”

As a massive fan of Kenner’s Stark men, she will have some epic shoes to fill and these men that I see fulfilling these calendar slots might just go toe-to-toe with the Starks. Her impeccable writing skills and developed characters; in which I noticed some awfully familiar names from other novels from the author made me giddy, had me flipping the pages faster than ever. The basis of this storyline will intrigue you from the moment you begin reading. Down on Me was a brilliant beginning and I am eager to see what Mr. February has to offer!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of the book.

If Down on Me is a reliable indication, I have a feeling I'm really going to enjoy this 12 book series! There was a bit of information overload - but I suppose that's to be expected since this is the jump off for a fairly expansive series and the author had to introduce characters and the setting. As someone who has worked extensively in the food and beverage industry, I REALLY love the setting of The Fix and its place in the Austin, TX community. I also really love the vibe of friends and coworkers that become more like family over time, as well as the crisis that has them all working against the clock to save something so important to them all. The relationship between Reece, Brent, and Jenna was sweet and I loved the friends-to-lovers spin for Reece and Jenna. I can't wait to see single-dad Brent get his HEA! And because of the expert way many of the characters were introduced, I'm fully invested in the next 11 books in the series! 3.75 out of 5 wine glasses.

Reece and Jenna are friends, the kind of best friends who know all there is to know about one another, the friends you call when you are stranded on the side of the road at 3am.

But, what they don't know is that they are each in love with the other, and want more than just the friendship, as great as it is.

Then, the issues with The Fix draw them together in a way that is different than before, and all of a sudden the attraction becomes more than they are willing to ignore any longer.

Sometimes the friends to lovers trope works really well and other times it is less smooth. In this one, the transition seemed a little forced and I was not totally on board with the start of their relationship.

Once the plot got moving, I was a little more on-board, but I then was a little torn about how I felt about the ending. I like them together, and I believe they are together for the long term...but the way they got there was more plot driven than emotion. For a bit, I thought the author was going to take a slightly unconventional path with the resolution of their story, but that didn't end up happening.

The idea of the calendar, the 12 men and 12 events to benefit the bar they all want to keep open is an interesting tie for the characters and the stories in the series, and I think it will work well. For the opener of the story, I thought the pacing was strong and the introduction of the secondary characters was well done.

I liked this book overall, and I am looking forward to the rest of the titles in the series.

The first book a of a series, Down on Me was a fun, quick read. While I was turned off a bit from Reece at first, I absolutely loved Jenna. It was easy to come around with him, but it took a bit to get there.

Jenna spearheads a campaign to help save the bar Reece works for. I loved her tenacity and drive. That, combined with her personality, its easy to see why Reece carries a torch for her.

Down on Me was interesting and easy to get into. There was a lot of characters, I'm looking forward to the rest of this series. There was just enough to really get me curious about a few characters!

Down On Me was a good read and I definitely enjoyed the storyline.

This Friends to Lovers romance has some great moments of hot chemistry between Reece and Jenna. Their story has them fighting their feelings not wanting to wreck the great friendship they have

Reece is definitely a character that will leave you hot for him and Jenna is one of those girls that just seems to fit in and be friends with everyone. Their attraction, their devotion to one another as friends and their constant loyalty to each other is definitely endearing and made me really enjoy this story.

As the first book of the Man of The Month series it does a good job of introducing us not to just Reece and Jenna but other characters that we will get to see in this series and definitely has me interested in continuing to read this series.

All of my previous experiences with J Kenner had been through her Stark series and subsequent series from the original story line and when i found out that she was coming out with a totally new series called Man Of The Month, i was more than a little curious to find out what it was all about.

This story was a friends to lovers type of story that makes you so very curious about the trio. More than once i found myself wondering what made Reece so very special in Jenna's mind, and saw why: he's the type of man that will do everything in his power for his loved ones and Jenna is one that has life in her eyes when all seems lost.

Together these two are something to behold: they are meant to be a couple and their friendship only strengthened their bond. I enjoyed this first instalment of the series and can't wait to find out what'll happen next.

5 Total Down Stars!!

Down on Me was my second book by J Kenner and I absolutely loved this book. When I saw that she was doing a serious about the 12 calendar men I got so excited and Down on Me didn't let me down at all. Reece and Jenna's story will draw you in right from the very first chapter.

Jenna and Reece have been friends ever since they were children. However those friend feels change after Jenna's last night in town before moving to LA. With the distance Jenna and Reece believe they can still handle being just friends. That all changes when Jenna moves back. When Jenna moves back to town her and Reece realize that the chemistry is off the charts and can't be ignored. Will they give into the chemistry and risk losing the friendship or will they ignore those feels and keep things on a friend level?

So yes if you are looking for a HOT quick read then you need to pick up this book. OH and if you're wondering if the cover matches Reece YES it does. Total win! I can't wait to meet the other 11 calendar men of the month!
