Out of My Way
Logan McKenzie is a police detective sergeant who does things his way with his own “rule book.” Logan’s partner retired 6 months ago and he is determined to work alone. He has no use for stuffed-shirts or Feds. Logan always thought of himself as reasonable, and a cop for twenty years.
Partner retired and now he is doing things alone. Which does get him into trouble with the chief, while doing drug busts. At home only parent to nineteen year old Melissa, who is being baptized on Sunday. Wants her dad to come, okay he not a church guy, that stopped when his wife died. He have a couple of days to figure out what this meant. Life changes when he has to accept working with the Special FDA Agent Sam. She knows her job, and saves Logan several times. Action and more with this story. I also like we are let in to what Logan is feeling and thinking. Good beginning.
