The stories in this series just keeps getting better and better! This story is full of sweetness, love and understanding. And full of charisma from the youngest Barra. 😉
Young Jane Sherrington has grown up among a gang who are robbers. Her brother is the gang leader and this is how he has raised her. She finds herself in this small town and in jail. The Sheriff is thinking if she will answer his questions, then he can find the gang of robbers. But truly she does not know where they are. The Sheriff decides to release her into the custody of a lady lawyer. This lawyer takes her under her wing and into her family's home.
There she meets one of the son's,Dodge, he helps educated her. You see she has never been to school either, even as a teenager she is now. Jane is enrolled in the local school and he tutors her with her school work in the evenings. It is near Christmas time, and this young man nicknamed her "Jingle Jane".
Dodge and Jane get to know one another. And he has fallen in love with her. But someone shows up on the ranch to take her away, her brother. Jane truly does not want to leave the recent life she has learned to love. I love reading these sweet historical romance novellas. It takes me back in time to another place and time. thank you Jovie Grace for the wonderful read.
What an enjoyable story of an outlaw’s little sister, who was also raised by said brother, by way of him robbing to feed them. His crimes grew and grew, although he never, ever involved his sister. She gets taken into custody, and when they can’t find any information about her brother from her, a woman attorney has the sheriff release Jane to her custody. The attorney’s youngest brother-in-law, Dodge, still lives in the house with his older brother and sister-in-law, although he’s almost 18 and feels like he should be on his own parcel of land, just like his other brothers. Jane and Dodge are pretty much instantly drawn to each other, simply because she hasn’t had the opportunity to meet or be around people their own age before and he hasn’t had many to hang around with that are his age either. You should really get this book and relax and enjoy it!! I loved it. 📕♥️
Loved Dodge and Jane's story! Now, all of the Barra boys are set! One thing I especially liked was Jo showed that no matter your circumstances, you can still know God and that He will bring you through. We all face choices every day, and those choices make us who we are. We also, sometimes, have to deal with the consequences of choices others have made; choices we didn't make, but that still effect us. God never promised us a smooth road; however, He promises to walk that road with us. God can still use us, if we just let Him.
I received a complimentary copy of this book, was not required to leave a review, and the opinion expressed is my own.
Jane is supposed to have all the answers, but the only answer is, I don't know, and she truly does not know. Although she has traveled for years with her brother Hunters outlaw band he has kept her in the dark never once revealing any secrets to her. When the kind sheriff places her with Dodge's family he makes it his business to learn her business, but he finds that Jane is nothing but kind and needs to be shown kindness in return. This story weaves to a great climax with a good fight and shows good fami!y compromise.
What set Jane and Hunter on the road to criminal enterprise was a dastardly uncle who abused them. At last Jane finds her man and must get her brother to let go. Hunter’s gang along with Colt’s sister Maryanne get sprung from jail and rob three banks belonging to the man that did Maryanne wrong when she took a mail order bride contract as valid but the banker bedded her and dumped her for an advantageous marriage. So now Colt and Branson have a clue to resolve their sister’s disappearance.
Hunter absconded with his younger sister, Jane, from an abusive uncle. The only way to support them was to join a gang. Although Jane had nothing to do with the gang's escapades, she was caught and jailed until a local family took her in. There she meets Dodge who is at first suspicious of her but this soon changes. Desiring to go forth, Jane is frozen by fear of her brother's unexpected intervention. Cute title, story, despite being somewhat condensed. Could have been so much more but good for a clean bedtime read....
Jane was the sister of a highly wanted man,he had committed many crimes but she was always left in the dark as to his plans. Jane had been mistreated by their Uncle and the last evening he was beating Jane her brother broke down and took her away from the abuse. This book in the series was another great story on abuse within families and how these two got away from their Uncle. This is my review and mine alone. Norma Gorrill
Jinglebell Jane is the wonderfully sweet story of Jane Sherrington, the captured sister of a notorious outlaw. Dodge Barra believes she's part of the gang and a guilty criminal. However, as he comes to know her while she's in the care of his sister-in-law an attorney, he realized Gertrude innocent heart. Great characters and plot.
Ouick read. This seemed like a particularly quick read. Some unanswered questions, like where was old Mack? That was never answered. The ending seemed to raise a few questions. Story felt a little disjointed. This was also an insta-love story. Went from being highly suspicious to in-love in a few days.
This has been a fun series to read. All stand alone stories. Jane is captured along with her brothers outlaw gang by the sheriff and deputy 's along with a few Barra's brother 's. All a rested and put in jail. A must read.
I so enjoyed Jane and Dodge's story. He is the last of his brothers to fall. Her brother is an outlaw and there's a lot of complications which makes for an interesting read that I totally enjoyed.
I especially enjoyed the scene at the schoolhouse h the teacher confronted the girl. Funny The girl must decide which path to take: a life of crime or honesty.
Jane the sister of a famous outlaw is captured because she is their cook. Dodge is given the task to Tudor her before her brother tries to recapture her. - Babs
Unless there is some rule that gives a distinction between a short story and a novel, this is a short story. Much too short. Nevertheless, it was a good story.
I have enjoyed this series. The characters are witty, cute and fabulous. I would really like to see Madge with a happily ever after storyline. I know at 26 or however her age is now is considered a spinster, but she has so much to give. The sheriff also needs a family. The Reverend Bishop wasn't married, was he? She would make either one a fantastic wife. Old Mack at 46 or 50 needs a new love. Keep them coming. Love them.
