With Fire #3

Sinning with Fire

Rate this book
A line crossed. A boundary broken. A promise shattered.

There’s nothing quite like ending a five-year relationship…and promptly being replaced.

Now my ex is engaged—and I’m drowning my insecurities with shots when Liam King, ultimate playboy and my brother’s very flirty best friend, shows up. His solution? Therapy: gambling, drinking, and s…

Too bad Liam’s completely off-limits, because he’d also be a tempting “therapy”. But I made a promise to my brother a long time ago, that I wouldn’t date his friends. He has his reasons, and I’ve respected that.

Until now. Until night one in Vegas when Liam takes me to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Until neither of us has the power to say no.

What happens in Vegas should stay in Vegas…but what if one night isn’t enough? What if we’ve both fallen for the ultimate sin?

Sinning with Fire is a dual first person POV, steamy, forbidden, brother's best friend romance — with a dash of suspense.

Tamara lives with her cocker spaniel, River, in the beautiful city of Calgary, Alberta. When she’s not busy writing the stories of sexy firemen, she can be found with River at the river, writing in her journal, biking, doing yoga, or collecting butterflies and unicorns. She’s a poptart, through and through (think classic Britney, Christina, and NSYNC), a Swiftie, and enjoys country, rock, and a little piano instrumental when she’s trying to focus. Give her a hot man to look at, a book boyfriend to swoon over, and friends to laugh with and she’s set.

A spicy, fun and forbidden love story where she’s got the hots for her brother’s best friend.

Liam is a playboy but one taste of Jordan and he’s hooked… which was NOT a part of the plan. After a few hot and heavy days in Vegas, they both know when they get home nothing will be the same.

Oh Liam… the man has the emotional intelligence of a teenage boy but for Jordan he wants to be different. Better for her. It’s not without its struggles but he works to overcome past trauma to be the man she needs. The man had a filthy mouth and I loved the way her treated her after her ex destroyed her confidence. These two are a match made in heaven it just took them a minute to work it all out.

Thank you Tamara Rene for the opportunity to read and review this advanced copy!

ARC - 5 🌟 3 🌶️

🚒 Brother's best friend
🩺 Forbidden
🚒 Friends to lovers
🩺 Secret relationship
🚒 Reformed playboy
🩺 Firefighter x ER nurse

So picture this! He’s a firefighter (yes, the uniform is absolutely part of the appeal), loyal to a fault, and happens to be best friends with Jordan’s brother. You already know what that means, off. limits. Does he care? Absolutely not. Man’s got tunnel vision and it’s all her.

Liam is one of those guys who tries so hard to do the right thing, but every time Jordan walks in, he’s just like… “rules? never heard of her.” And honestly? I get it. And Jordan? My girl’s over here she’s sweet, grounded, and actually trying to do the right thing even when her heart’s completely out of control. She’s not reckless, but she’s not gonna deny what’s real either. The second Liam shows up with that stupidly good smile and all that “I shouldn’t want you” energy… she’s gone. Honestly, same.

The second these two are in the same room? Sparks. Literal fire. The kind that could burn down his whole moral compass. Their chemistry? Ridiculous. Unholy. Like, stop-reading-in-public levels of tension. You can feel every ounce of the “we really shouldn’t” but also “we really, really will.” You feel it in every glance and every line he crosses. It’s that perfect mix of tension, guilt, and “we probably shouldn’t, but we’re definitely going to.” And once they do? Yeah. You’ll need a glass of water.

It’s got all the best bits of a “brother’s best friend” romance, secret looks, stolen moments, and that slow realization that they’re in way too deep. But what I loved most was how real it felt. About the way Liam actually wants to be better for her, and the way Jordan tries to protect both of them from the fallout. Liam’s over there catching feelings and fighting his demons like, “I’m not good enough for her,” and Jordan’s like, “too late, you already are.” Girl, I melted.

Was it a little tropey? Sure. But sometimes that’s exactly what you need, something easy, fast-paced, and deliciously messy. Sometimes a girl just needs a firefighter who’s down bad for his best friend’s sister, okay?! I flew through it. And yes, I devoured it like it was my last meal.

So yeah, if you’re in the mood for a firefighter who falls hard, a heroine who’s equal parts heart and backbone, and enough forbidden tension to make you bite your lip, Sinning with Fire is your next read.

Thank you Luna Literary and Tamara for this arc opportunity! I can’T wait for what’s next

Spice: 3

Tropes:
brother's best friend
secret relationship
friends to lovers
forbidden romance
reformed playboy
Dual POV

Sinning with Fire takes place in the City of Sin, where what happens in Vegas... well is suppose to stay in Vegas. Right? Jordan is in Las Vegas for her brother's wedding and his best friend, Liam, is also a co-best man in the wedding. Jordan and Liam have been getting closer recently, as friends, but when Jordan's ex shows up, that just might be the spark that lights a fire under both of them to see the chemistry between them. Only, Jordan and Liam both have promised Jordan's older brother that they'd never cross that line with each other. So again, I ask, can what happens in Vegas stay in Vegas?

I thought this was a cute spicy story. Right off the bat, the spice is coming at you and you're rooting for Jordan and Liam to be able to navigate this new dynamic between them but also, how to tell her brother. I enjoyed watching the two of them fall for one another. I will say, even knowing Liam was a playboy, that he used other words when talking about his want/need for Jordan. He used phrases like "the woman I like to f*ck" vs the woman I like, or care about, etc. And yes, it's on point for being a playboy but it never felt like he was truly "reforming" enough for me.

Sinning with Fire was pure fun from start to finish! No slow burn here, just sizzling chemistry and sharp banter. This was my first book from Tamara Rene but it won’t be my last.

Liam and Jordan have known each other for years. She’s his best friend’s sister and completely off-limits. But after Jordan’s most recent relationship ends, their friendship turns into something neither of them can ignore. One wild night in Vegas changes everything amd they find it impossible to stay away from each other.

Liam is the perfect reformed playboy. He’s protective, and absolutely devoted to Jordan. Jordan was so easy to root for. Strong, kind and perfect for Liam. Together, they strike that perfect mix of sizzling tension and genuine connection.

Perfect for fans of forbidden romance!

Overall an easy reading, low stakes book. A quick burn (works well in this set up), forbidden/brother’s best friend romance.

Some pacing issues and I didn’t love the surface level descriptive language the characters used. Focussing immensely on looks/physical attraction. Especially in the beginning. I know it’s kind of a reformed playboy thing, and it did improve over the span of the book, but I just struggled to connect with the characters or story of this one unfortunately.

I will say for a past paced/quick burn, I do appreciate that it wasn’t just pages and pages of lengthy smut filler. I actually enjoyed that some of the scenes ended in a more fade to black or closed door scenario. As well as being dual POV. Always a happy reader with a dual POV.

Notorious playboy that finds his person is my bread and butter, and this book hit all the spots.

Jordan is the off-limits sister of Liams best friend, and they revolve around each other like moths to the flame but never step over that line. Until now. The plot was so well written that the tension and spice were off the charts. These two have been through it in their own ways, and the way their relationship grows over the story was a joy to read. I was lucky enough to receive an arc of this amazing novel and am leaving a review of my own thoughts and feelings.

This is the first book I have read from Tamara Rene and it will not be my last! Liam and Jordan have been friends for a while since Nate is Liam's best friend and Jordan's brother. They are both headed to Nate's wedding in Vegas, what started off as them being friends turns in to more as Liam shows his true colours. He is normally very closed off because of his past experiences but Jordan brings out the best in him. I enjoyed this book and would recommend it as it was intriguing and a good read!

This one just wasn't for me. The pacing was slow. The "explicit scenes" were barely spicy with speeds ups that reminded me of my old Harlequinn reading days. There were evening encounters while in Vegas that barely scratched the surface of a spicy scene and then poof, a couple of sentences later, and they apparently had a multiple O's and through use of protection multiple times.

I feel like those explicit scenes were edited out or stolen from the reader. It's like someone turned off video surveillance and assures the reader it was Spicy, Spicy.

The Grand Canyon Date was obvious the MMC was listening to her troubles and woes before Vegas. He can also toss in some dirty talk, but it's all talk without a scene that follows through.

I had to DNF about 65 percent in.

Soft DNF. Sadly, this one wasn't for me. I had trouble with the pacing of the book and had a hard time connecting with the characters. Though I will probably come back and try again, as this is book 3 in a series and I have no read the first two.

These men are toxic AF and written in really cliched ways. It got annoying having almost every other word be some derivative of “fuck.” I debated making it a DNF, but pushed through to see if anything would make it better. For me, the answer was not a chance. Thanks to Lina Literary for providing the ARC.

“There isn’t a damn thing you need to change, Jordan. If I were allowed, I’d spend an entire night showing you just how fucking perfect I think you are. Hell, for you, I’d break all the rules and spend multiple nights showing you.”

Sinning with Fire had me sat from page one and I devoured it in one sitting because I could not put it down. Everything about this book is what I love about romance stories. Flirting & banter? It has it in spades. Forbidden attraction? So much. Chemistry? I was giggling, swooning, & squirming in my seat. Emotional growth? I shed tears. Characters that felt real? You can’t convince me that I’m not part of this friend group. It’s so good. I am obsessed.

“If only fairy godmothers actually existed because Jordan is the dream. Jordan is the type of woman I never wanted to find. Not when I know how things can end. Fairytales don’t fucking exist. Only reality does.”

I honestly don’t know how to find the words to tell you how much I love Jordan & Liam. These two completely stole my heart. The way that they support each other as friends, push each other to grow, and just genuinely want what’s best for each other is just absolutely beautiful. I loved how Liam pushed Jordan to speak up for herself and how Jordan got Liam to open up. Their relationship isn’t based solely on their sexual chemistry. It’s built on a solid foundation of mutual love & respect. That being said, their chemistry had me sweating. My God, these two are perfection.

“I’ve never known love to know if I was in or falling into it. But I know that if there’s one person on this planet for me, it’s her. If there’s one person that could convince me that love is worth it, it would be her.”

I don’t know how I’ve slept on Tamara Rene up until this point, but I’m now president of her fan club. I need to read everything she’s already released and anything else she writes.

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, right? So, what happens when Vegas secrets follow you home?

Jordan is on the upswing from a nasty breakup. Liam, the self-declared bachelor for life, has been her confidant and biggest supporter through her healing journey. Jordan and Liam have been dancing around each other for months. While in Vegas for Nate’s, her brother and Liam’s best friend, wedding the two give in to their mutual yearning. However, the light of day and the reality of facing Nate brings a moment of panic. Can these two keep a secret or will Vegas follow them home?

This story was so sweet. These two characters each have their own baggage, but are ready to help each other lighten the load. Whether they can do it as lovers or just as friends remains to be seen. The healing journey they both go on for self discovery and eventual growth together is beautiful. I loved their banter and their attraction was 5-alarm🔥. I just wanted to squeeze Liam for his top-tier support he gave Jordan and never let him go when you discover his own demons. Absolutely a must read for romance readers!

Sinning with Fire is a fun, flirty, and low angst friends-to-lovers romance set against the vibrant chaos of Las Vegas. Packed with witty banter, forbidden tension, and a connection that crackles on every page, this story was lots of fun.

Jordan is in town for her brother’s wedding. Liam, the best man, and her brother’s best friend, has been in her life for years, always just out of reach. They've promised to keep things platonic, but a chance run-in with Jordan’s ex and a weekend in Sin City set off sparks they can’t ignore.

Liam toes the line between cocky playboy and protective softie, and while some of his early language choices might raise eyebrows, his devotion to Jordan becomes clear. Jordan, for her part, is strong, genuine, and completely lovable, a heroine who’s easy to root for.

Their chemistry between them is undeniable. But there is also a deeper connection between them too. Jordan helps Liam soften and open up. Liam challenges Jordan to use her voice and claim what she wants. Their relationship is rooted in mutual respect, real friendship, and growth, not just desire.

Narratively, the story moves fast in terms of the romance, yet somehow the pace feels really slow. All this happens in a whirlwind week too- so the timeline is fast though the pacing felt not. And for a book that takes place in Vegas and has lots of chances for spicy fun, the spice in this is pretty low on the pepper scale and pretty mild. Almost feels like old school historical romances even. So if you're here for the spice, this one might not be for you. I'm tno sure how it chalks up to other Tamara romances since this is my first. I loved the characters and their chemistry. There are some added suspense elements that play out in the finale- unexpectedly so.

Sinning with Fire might not reinvent the tropes or feel particularly fresh, but it offers a breezy, chemistry fueled escape with plenty of heart, humor, and for the most part is pretty feel good and lower stakes. An easy and fun read overall.

ARC REVIEW

LIAM KING!! Playboy turned Loverboy for his best friend's younger sister who is COMPLETELY off limits!? The pacing for this book was so good and it flowed well from the beginning. The majority of this story is in Vegas while in preparation for Savanna & Nate's wedding. Jordan is fresh-ish off a break up with her horrible ex who apparently is also in Vegas for his bachelor's party CAUSE HE'S ALREADY ENGAGED!? Disgusting and when Jordan hears about it, it definitely dampens her mood. In comes her basically best friend Liam to cheer her up and hype her up. They have been getting closer since the breakup cause Jordan trusts Liam. All of their flirting and chemistry before Vegas catch up to them and they have an explosive "F-K it" moment that was HOT! That leads them to making a pact where they keep doing this until they go back to home. They both fight with the guilt of going behind Nate's back which is brought up frequently. Do the other friends in their group start to notice their to so subtle attraction? Yes.
Jordan and Liam grow a lot through this story. Jordan realized a lot of herself that other boyfriends pointed out, made fun of, and all the negative she took on. Liam helped her bring back her confidence. The trauma Liam went through when he was little...that was unexpected. I am glad he finally trusted someone to share that with and have that weight off his shoulders. Getting towards the end, we have the dreaded moment that Nate finds out about them and it's explosive. Do we have some tough love put on Liam and Jordan to figure out what they want and to fight for it after everything cools down? Yes, but we needed the tough love to push these two love birds. We had a bit of drama/action at the end that was unexpected, but added to the trajectory of the plotline.
I think this might be my favorite so far in the series. The chemistry between Jordan and Liam was so good and I really just liked their story.

The With Fire series has quickly become one of my favorites. When I found out that Liam and Jordan were going to be the main characters in this book, I knew I had to read it! They did not disappoint and this just might be my new favorite of the series.

I loved Jordan. She was such a great fmc. She tried so hard to keep herself from breaking the promise to her brother, Nate. However, the heart wants what it wants and hers wanted Liam. She does express her guilt for breaking her promise, but I enjoyed the fact that she did what she felt was right. Her friendships with Savanna, Quinn and Hailey were top tier. I loved how she supported Liam and was there for him, not caring about his reputation.

Liam is a reformed playboy and l love how Tamara wrote him. Once he was with Jordan, even if it was for just their “one week” he was all in with her. I loved that he made it clear to other women that he was off the market. The things he did for Jordan were so sweet. I loved learning about his background and what caused him to because a playboy in the first place. He was Jordan’s rock and was always there to make sure she was safe.

I absolutely loved these two together and how they supported one another. While there is a conflict, I loved that they both showed understanding and growth in order to be together. I will say, I was not expecting that twist at the end, but I really enjoyed it.

I loved Quinn. Aside from Liam and Jordan, she was my favorite side character. I just loved her attitude and comments. I also loved reading about the rest of the characters from the first two books.

Overall, this was such a great book that I finished it in less than 24 hours. I would definitely recommend it (and the rest of the series), especially if you love a brother’s best friend, secret/forbidden, reformed playboy, friends to lovers, firefighter x ER nurse romance.

Thanks so much Tamara Rene and Luna Literary Management for the book. I was given this book as an advance review copy (ARC) for free, and I am leaving this review completely voluntarily.

This is the third book in the With Fire series, but I didn’t read the first two and honestly, you don’t have to. It works fine as a standalone. The story follows Jordan, who’s just getting over a brutal breakup when she reconnects with Liam, a firefighter who also happens to be part of her brother’s crew. There’s instant tension, lots of internal back-and-forth, and plenty of steamy firefighter energy. It’s got the classic “forbidden-ish” spark with a good mix of emotion and heat.

I grew up with two sisters, so I never got the chance to crush on my brother’s best friends and maybe that’s why I love reading this trope so much. Jordan and Liam have a cute backstory, and because the book is written in dual POV, we really get to see what’s going on in both their heads. Honestly, if I was reading the vibes right, their connection shouldn’t have surprised anyone! Jordan’s recovering from heartbreak, Liam’s got that player-turned-protector energy, and together they find something that feels solid. The firefighter crew adds that great “found family” layer that makes the story feel warm and lived-in. I’ve known a few firefighters personally, and Rene really captures that tight-knit camaraderie.

Overall, this book was good, but not groundbreaking. The tropes - brother’s best friend, forbidden love, redemption arc - have been done plenty of times. It’s just a solid, enjoyable romance rather than a totally fresh or unforgettable one.

Happy reading friends,
~ Maebae 💚

🔥ARC Review🔥

I still remember being in Vegas when this book was announced—and finding out that the story itself was set there felt like fate. Having already fallen in love with Liam and Jordan in the first two books of the series, it truly felt like the universe was aligning to make this ‘my’ book. And it absolutely did not disappoint.

It’s been incredible to watch Tamara grow as a writer, and I truly think Sinning with Fire is her strongest work yet. Her prose and structure have both leveled up, and it made the reading experience so engaging that I absolutely flew through the pages.

The setting, the pacing, and especially the characters were all standout elements for me. The found family dynamic in this series continues to shine—Station 9 feels like home, and I adored spending more time with the whole crew. Getting to celebrate Nate and Savannah’s wedding was such a special moment, and Liam’s best man speech had me tearing up. Pair that with Jordan and Liam’s relationship and their beautiful arc together it all just felt so intimate and heartfelt.

One of my favorite things about this series is how much depth Tamara gives her characters—their inner monologue, their dialogue with one another, and the way they choose to communicate with their friends. Watching them navigate their own emotional turmoil but also those of their friends, with such maturity and self-awareness feels both refreshing and real. By the end, seeing all their growth pay off and witnessing their hope for a brighter future was genuinely inspiring.

Sinning with Fire was everything I hoped it would be and I genuine didn’t want it to end. This book has cemented itself as my favorite in the series so far—and I can’t wait to see what Tamara writes next. Hopefully back to firefighting!!

This was a really sweet read filled with spice, drama and fun characters. There are lots of heartfelt moments and so many fun friend times. Love a romance that brings the heat and the sweet!

Jordan is an ER nurse.

Liam is a firefighter.

They have known each other for years. He is best friends with her brother. She has been leaning on him for support since her breakup a few months ago. They are in Vegas for her brother's wedding. The attraction and minor flirtation they have been nursing grows and grows until it overtakes them and they decide to take a risk. For just one night. That becomes a week. Which becomes oh dear, what now. Magnificent!

Jordan has had some bad experiences in the guy department, her most recent being with a guy who was a serial cheater. She is scared there is something wrong with her but decides to take the risk and go for it with Kiam, even if it is temporary. Her learning how to ask for what she wants is amazing.

Liam is a no relationships, just fluffing and keeping friends at surface level kind of fella. He dealt with some tough things as a kid which has had a big impact on his adulthood. His journey of growing & learning is really sweet.

They are beautiful souls individually and absolutely amazing together. They bring out the best in each other and give each other a safe place to land & be. Swoon!

I look forward to reading the rest of the series now!

I received this as an ARC and am so, so grateful! This had no influence on my review which is based on my thoughts & feelings of the story itself.

Thank you Luna Literacy PR and Tamara Rene for an advanced e-copy of this book!

This is a brother’s best friend, kinda forbidden, firefighter x emergency room nurse, forced proximity, friends to lovers romance! I know, lots tropes in there 😂

What happens in Vegas 👀👀🫦😋🤫 Honestly I wish I had a group of friends like this! Jordan’s brother is getting married in the best party place ever, Vegas! So their group of friends is having the time of their lives, and of course this is the perfect time for her and Liam’s friendly flirting to ignite…NOT! 😂 the banter and cute moments between them were so ✨swoon✨ like Liam, sir, Mr. I only sleep with a woman once ever in my life, is such a romantic 😂😂😂 WITHOUT EVEN TRYING!!!! Ugh, can I just yank him through this book and have a real life version 😭 Also! He is a realistic height 😂 I love that he isn’t a gigantor, he’s like 5’11, which is still tall! Just not break my neck tall 😂 plus he’s a firefighter 🔥🔥🔥 he’s perfect 😍

Loved the writing, super fun banter and easy to connect with characters, flow of the timeline is super smooth and not drawn out or too short.

Only thing that was not my fav was the 3rd act breakup 😭😭 not a fan of them in general, but this one wasn’t too bad, I didn’t wanna toss my kindle at the wall so that a plus 😂

The spice!! It is a fast burn 🔥🔥 they have rougher scenes which result in some bruises the next day (which are badges of honor 😂). Loved the scenes, they are open door, nothing too crazy, other than the roughness.

❤️❤️❤️❤️

A steamy, emotional brother’s best friend romance

Sinning with Fire is a captivating blend of forbidden attraction, heartfelt emotion, and undeniable chemistry. It’s my first Tamara Rene book, and now I’m officially hooked on her writing and her ability to balance spice with real emotional depth.

After ending a toxic five-year relationship, Jordan heads to Vegas for her brother’s wedding—determined to move on and have some fun. The last thing she expects is to fall for Liam, her brother’s best friend and a ladies’ man who’s finally off the market. What starts as a secret night together quickly turns into something deeper, and suddenly, neither of them wants it to end when the trip is over.

Jordan is a heroine you can’t help but root for. After everything she’s been through, she still believes in love and refuses to settle for less. Her friendships with Savanna, Quinn, and Hailey were such a great addition to the story, full of support and laughter. Liam completely stole my heart—protective, loyal, and surprisingly vulnerable once he lets his walls down. His past makes his transformation all the more believable, and I loved seeing him fight for something real.

The conflict with her brother felt a little predictable, and the ending wrapped up quickly, but the emotional payoff and chemistry more than made up for it.

If you love a forbidden brother’s best friend romance filled with tension, growth, and a hero who falls hard, Sinning with Fire will definitely hit the spot.

"I think you're perfect... And what I've come to realize is that you're perfect for me. Which means you are special. You're the most special thing I've ever laid eyes on, Jor. You make my world light up. You make everything dark seem manageable.
You are everything I didn't know I wanted and needed.”

Gah! This book was amazing! I am so thankful I received an ARC for this book. I’ve been in a reading slump for almost a week, so this came at the perfect time!

Jordan and Liam were everything in this book, from start to finish. Jordan went through a rough patch after her last breakup and Liam has been her shoulder to lean on and vent to since. Liam is Jordan’s brothers best friend and has been warned away from her since the beginning of their friendship. Liam has quite the reputation as a ladies man and tries to steer clear of relationships/love. I don’t want to give any spoilers, so I’m not going to go in to detail with this book, but the tension and spice were sooo good between these characters! Liam has a lot of personal/emotional growth throughout this book. Jordan wins at life with Liam. She also gets to stick it to her ex. This definitely got me out of my reading slump I’ve been in, now I can’t wait for the next book in this series!

I've been eagerly awaiting Liam King's turn in the spotlight since his introduction in Living with Fire. The bold and brash playboy who'll do anything for his friends? When would it be his turn to find love? When would it be his turn to meet his match?
Tamara Rene absolutely delivers in SINNING WITH FIRE.
While in Las Vegas for Nate and Savannah's wedding, Nate's sister, Jordan, is reeling after hearing news about her ex. Nate's best friend, Liam—who Jordan has confided in quite a bit, especially over the last few months—is there to comfort her. And while looking our over the glittering city together, the two decide to give in to their mutual attraction.
Sure, maybe they've both promised Nate separately that they'd never get together... but what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Right?
Liam and Jordan are incredibly complex characters with their own baggage and quirks. They are similar in their fierce loyalty to the people they care about, and when they banter -- oh, how sparks fly! I was rooting for them from the very first page.
The city of Vegas is also a character in itself. The setting comes alive through Rene's masterful writing. And the found family of Santa Rose's fire station? They continue to be an absolute delight. I'm already eager for the next book, but I'll be reflecting on (and honestly - definitely re-reading!) SINNING WITH FIRE until then. It was such a treat.

ARC Review: 4.5⭐️
Sinning with Fire is book 3 in the With Fire series featuring Liam King & Jordan Miller.

Years ago after an incident with one of his friends, Jordan promised her brother Nate that she’d never date one of his friends, and she’s kept that promise.

Liam is one of Nate’s closest friends and he also his second in command at the fire station. He has quite the reputation for being a playboy and It’s always been a known thing he should stay away from Jordan.

The whole friend group travels to Vegas for Nate’s wedding and after a few drinks, Liam & Jordan walk the strip together and end up going to the top of the Eiffel Tower and afterwards they spend the night together.

In the morning they realize it was a mistake but the temptation is to strong to ignore so they decide to spend time together until they return home. Things get hot and heavy but they’d both be wise to remember the plan they made.

When they leave Vegas, they decide maybe they could have something. They spend time together and plan to reveal their relationship to Nate when he gets back from his honeymoon. Unfortunately he walks in on them kissing and all heck breaks loose. Will the drama with Nate end things for them before they even have a chance to begin?

Tamara was a new to me author and I really enjoyed reading this story ! I’m very curious about the previous couples and books and I plan to go back and read them soon!

Thank you Tamara for the ARC!

First off i would like to thank Tamara for the opportunity to read & review this gifted E-Arc.

Jordan & Liam
Y'all after waiting for this couple since book one & she did not disappoint! This book has my whole heart and soul and i don't want it back! The push and pull between Jordan & Liam, with all that tension has FINALLY PAID OFF! I freaking love Jordan and the way she is so confident in who she was and what she wanted. I adore the way she pushed Liam outta his comfort zone but also knew when to pull back and let him come to her. Liam MFking King! The man that you are is EVERYTHING! I LOVE HIM & i just wanted to hug him so hard and never let go. I loved watching him grow and change into who he was meant to be and not who he needed to be to keep things surface level. I just adore him so much and just love that he respected Jordan and what she said and wanted.

5/5 Recommend this book. Y'all Tamara put everything she had into this book & the fact that she was going through something so painful while writing this book and still manage to delivered this dang MASTERPIECE is so beautiful and i respect the heck outta her for it more then ever. (I always respected her but soo much more now) just go read the whole with fire series you won't regret it. Also thank you Tamara for letting me be apart of the dispatch crew cause your stuck with me for life now 😂😘

First, I want to thank the author and Luna Literary Management for the eARC of this book. As thanks for being able to get a glimpse prior to the release date, here is my honest review.

Overall, I did like this book. I enjoyed the romance between Liam and Jordan. It was steamy, kept my attention, and I could easily tell that both MC's had feelings for each other. I liked that the majority of the book did take place in Vegas and followed the push and pull of Liam and Jordans friendship/relationship.

What I struggled with was the last 5 chapters. I felt that the ending was hastily finished. There was a twist that I was not expecting at all. I felt that it was a bit out of place considering what was going on prior to the twist happening. I think that there could have been more exploration into Nate, Jordan's brother, and his relationship between Liam. I also felt that there wasn't enough exploration into Jordan and Liam after Vegas. (Note: someone else who may read this, may not mind this)

Despite struggling through the last 5 chapters, the book did keep my attention the entire time. It has open-door spice, friends to lovers, he falls first/she falls harder, forbidden love, brother's best friend, fake dating, and firefighter/nurse tropes. Due to this, this book is perfect for those who love contemporary romance with extra spiciness.

4/5 overall

This was such a fun read with absolutely no slow burn! Liam and Jordan have known each other for ten years — she’s his best friend’s sister, which makes her completely off-limits. And until recently, Jordan was in a long-term relationship that ended after her boyfriend cheated on her.

While recovering from her breakup, Jordan leaned on Liam for support, and their friendship grew stronger. But one wild night in Las Vegas changed everything. What was supposed to be just one night turned into a week they couldn’t forget — and once they were back home, staying away from each other proved impossible.

Liam has never been in a real relationship. After being abandoned by his mother, he developed a deep aversion to love and stuck to his playboy ways — no strings, no feelings. But for Jordan, he broke his own rules. It took him time to open up, but in the end, he fought for her love.

The chemistry between them was off the charts! These two couldn’t keep their hands off each other, and every scene between them was sizzling hot.

If you love the brother’s best friend trope, a reformed playboy, and a crazy Vegas night that turns into something more, you’ll definitely want to add this book to your TBR!

Thank you to Tamara and Luna Literary for a copy of this ARC.
