About the author

Lives in the North West of England, with her husband and daughter. After being made redundant in May 2013 and whilst looking for another role she decided to put pen to paper to empty her head of the ideas that were bouncing around, before long it became a compulsion to write every day and the realisation that she had a novel on her hands. Encouraged by her husband, close family and friends she took the leap to self publish.

Grovel: none although the H was on his knees at one point but that’s because he misjudged something and it ended up leaving me feeling like he was a wuss

HEA: no epilogue but they never broke up since they got together at the beginning so no big payoff at all
Triggers: h was raped and beaten in the past

Personal Review:
Story of a millionaire businessman and a millionaire artist who are both good-looking (I know because it’s mentioned quite a lot!). It is love at first sight. No major conflicts in the story. They meet, fall in love and get married….simple.

I did find myself skipping chunks in the middles because the story was dragging. At one point I felt it was over because they both said they loved each other and got engaged and there were no other issues….like seriously NO OTHER ISSUES!

Random Ramblings:
Regardless of the intention, it is annoying to read both the H and h describe themselves as good-looking and they don’t do it just once….let’s be real

Did not like the H calling the h 'baby' every time they have sex…she does have a name!

Loved that the H was the first to admit he had fallen in love

Art is great but I find it hard to believe that a sci-fi artist has the same celebrity status as pop-stars…so much so than even 10yr boys know who she is, paparazzi stalk her and she has millions of pounds!

Some BDSM elements in the story but they were a hit and miss for me

Awakened by You is a passion filled story with fantastic characters and a strong storyline. This is the first book I've read by this author, and I really enjoyed her writing style. The book is fairly long and I found it a little slow in the middle, but I still really enjoyed it. The sex scenes are seriously steamy, well written and varied - this author has one heck of an imagination, either that or she has a very dirty mind! Both of the main characters are very rich and I enjoyed the glimpse into their glamorous lifestyles. I also enjoyed their journey of self discovery, I really felt like I knew these characters and I felt involved in their lives.

Skye is a very successful, famous artist and businesswomen who had to rebuild her life after a traumatic attack. Clayton is a gorgeous billionaire who falls for Skye as soon as he sees her. Can he help her deal with her past and convince her that they are good together?

I found both Skye and Clayron to be interesting, likeable characters with a lot of depth to them. I would have liked a little more conflict between them, but that just a personal preference - you can't deny that these two belong together. This is a great book that I really enjoyed - four stars.

Enjoyable romp about two people who find and discover each other. Both Skye and Clayton are exceedingly rich and too perfect for me. However, the fact Skye has a traumatic past to overcome adds interest. A light and otherwise entertaining read. Thanks to the author for a copy of the book via the goodreads giveaways.

I bought this book at the 2016 L.A. Times Festival of Books. I was in high school then, and me and the dudes would read it together and had a lot of fun following the story or the hijinks of the protagonist, even if we were probably not the intended audience. I think my friend gave the copy away to a gal, or snuck it in her car or bedroom and left it there, I can't really remember!

An Artist with a deep dark secret that is only known to a very select few close friends. The patience of the Playboy who is totally captivated, physically and emotionally is a touching love story as they both learn to trust each other explicitly.
There is a bit of everything here and a couple of unexpected twists that will keep you guessing right up to the end.
The Erotica is very explicit and not for everyone's reading but it ties the story together.
