Dr. Ken Ham is the president of Answers in Genesis USA and is a well-known speaker and author on the subject of Young-Earth Creationism. He received a bachelor degree in applied science (emphasis on environmental biology) from the Queensland Institute of Technology, and a Diploma of Education from the University of Queensland. He has also received two honorary doctorates: a Doctor of Divinity from Temple Baptist College, and a Doctor of Literature from Baptist Liberty University.

He was a director of Creation Science Foundation (CSF) in Australia, an organization which he jointly founded with John Mackay. In 1987 he moved to the United States, still maintaining his links with CSF.

From 1987 to 1993, Ham worked for the Institute for Creation Research, and in 1994 set up what in 1995 became Answers in Genesis (AiG), a creation ministry dedicated to "upholding the authority of the Bible from the very first verse."

In 2008 Ham was described by well known atheist and evolutionary biologist PZ Myers as a "Wackaloon" for carrying out a prayer session with members of the Pentagon. Ham responded regarding the validity of that prayer breakfastand that PZ Myers and other critics were intolerant of his position.

This was an excellent book, and though it is a short read it is very powerful in its message! From a Biblical perspective we are one people from one family bloodline, "...of one blood all nations of men..." (Acts 17:26) While we are very dysfunctional, as a family, we are a family. But politics always plays a role in order to attain its own agenda. Therefore, it only makes sense that the politicians in power use all of our differences to force a wedge between all of the people of the world. We are smarter than to fall for such things, but we allow ourselves to be divided by political, racial, heritage, cultural, and even religious lines, or even by one specific issue that sits before us all. This book, as will all of Ken Ham's writings are well worth it to read and learn from.

Excellent summarization of the foundational differences between what the Bible teaches versus how a world in rebellion to God operates. Can't understand how the world today has gone so far astray with ever more complex problems? Read this book. Afterward, you'll want to visit the world-class Creation Museum (an AIG outreach close to Cincinnati, OH) or the lifesize replica of Noah's Ark--both in Kentucky--to get far more on all the topics tackled in the book but with awesome displays and amazing visuals. Highly recommend.

If you've ever heard Mr. Ham speak, you've likely heard much of this material already. However, this is a quick and easy read that even a middle schooler could understand. It teaches the importance of having a biblical worldview. Genesis 1-11 is the foundation of that worldview, and most of the big questions in our culture today can be answered by referring to Genesis 1-11.

Answers in Genesis and Ken Hamilton are by far one of the best things to happen! That ministry is helping millions to understand God's Word honestly and completely. This small book takes you through a basic understanding of Christian apologetics as relates to a Biblical understanding of Genesis. It is clear and concise in its writing. The only negative is that it is quite small and you may want more! And that is when you go read one of his other works! This is a great beginning point resource to have.

Absolute atrocity of a book. This is a shining example of fascist propaganda, but under the guise of Christianity. This book preaches nothing but hate, superiority complexes, and even included eugenicist ideas (if you are not familiar with fascism and eugenics, please read up on the Holocaust). Jesus gave us a message of unconditional love and acceptance. It is disappointing that these Pharisees and wolves in sheeps clothing are corrupting our church and our minds to fulfill their own hateful political agenda.

A must read book!

This is a wonderfully written, easy to digest book explaining how to share our faith by first understanding our biblical foundation as laid out in Genesis 1-11. Until we take ourselves and others to that place of wisdom we cannot do battle effectively with the worldview. I have been a believer for over 50 years and this truly opened my eyes of understanding!

A wake up call to the church on how secular education is affecting the next generation.
This book reminds us to use God’s word as the foundation when teaching our children to help ground them in their faith. Grounding them in truth will help them to see through the lies of our culture!
Excellent read!

Another great resource

Ken Ham has produced another great resource in Divided Nation. I have a lot of highlights for reflection. Thankful for someone who is willing to stand up for Biblical truth in a anti God, anti Bible, anti Christian culture.

An informative and eye-opening read, 'Divided Nation' correctly but solemnly identifies why the Western world — and the Church — is becoming more secular every day. This book is simple to read yet profound in it's message. 'Divided Nation' is definitely worth the room on your TBR.

Every Christian parent should read!

I wish I had read this book while I was raising my kids. I do believe that genesis 1-11 is the key to all my belief now. Great ground work teaching new Christians.

I received a complimentary copy.

Strong faith based topics that can definitely divide, but if you have a conviction for this upbringing, the book will give you pause to think and come together.

The book was ok. Simplistic and seemingly a written version of a brief presentation or presentation series. This would likely help explain the large amounts of repetition throughout the book. If the content interested you, there are other authors who cover it more in-depth.

The premise of the book is that our society’s claim to support a neutral science-based view of the world is a lie. They claim not to be influenced by their faith and worldviews. There is no harm for Christian young people to learn evolutionary theory because the evolutionary worldview is just a natural result of following the facts. This neutral view of science is a lie.

There is no such thing as unbiased science.

Our culture and society at large through our governmental school and media and news agency is pushing a worldview and agenda. Trust the science or follow the science as our society calls for is not to trust in the scientific process. It is to trust in the results that they have decided upon based on their, at time legitimate means if scientific inquiry and at times very illegitimate means.

Trust the science is to blindly follow a worldview where gender is whatever you want it to be regardless of what someone’s scientific DNA may be. A baby in her mother’s womb is not a baby. People can find their value and importance in their skin color. 100 years ago it was sinful to be black and all the Christians were white, now it is bad to be white and good to be black.

If you are familiar with Ham’s writings and teachings, this is ground he has covered again and again, but this makes it no less important and with the way our nation is heading, we need men like Ken Ham to double down on their emphasis on the historical reality of Genesis 1-11 instead of moving on to other topics.

It’s hard not to recommend this book simply because it is so short. Anyone should be able to fly through it and receive a needed refresher on where to stand in the divisions of America – we must build our salvation for eternity on the rock of Christ and build our understanding of race, gender, sin, the family, and more on the rock of Genesis 1-11.

So I encourage you to pick up a copy of Ken Ham’s latest Book – Divided Nation.
