This book is about a business research technique called “Scenario Planning”. Scenarios were originally created in the 1960’s for defense purposes; later on they were adopted by private enterprise with exceptional results. Nowadays they are also used for public policy. In this book you will learn the theory behind Scenario Planning, walk through three public policy examples and learn the process steps to build your own scenarios. This book will show you how to use both qualitative and quantitative inputs combined into a method designed to help you envision the future and win in every scenario. Go forth and win! Praise: 1) Dr. Paul Thomas, Chief Economist – Intel Corp: “5 Stars A humanistic presentation of scenario planning -- well done!” 2) Dr. Lorna Fitzgerald, VP – American Funds: 'How to Win in Every Scenario' offers a highly thoughtful approach to finding superior solutions for any scenario. 3) JP Leblanc, Finance Director – Oracle Corp.: Rom has always been my “go to” guy on econometric analysis and advanced analytic modeling. 4) Sarah Holloway, blogger – Indie Book Reviews: 5 Stars: Brilliantly written with a very interesting concept. 5) R. This was a very fascinating book addressing the strategies involved in accomplishing goals as well as resolving conflict during the process of negotiations. It had a unique ability to transcend the lines of politics, business, and personal scenarios. This was a fresh, unique, and useful perspective toward problem solving. As a former elementary educator, I can certainly see this as a very valid method of problem solving at even our earliest levels of education as well as the upper levels of World politics.
The book is really good, the solutions it offers bring answers long expected. I will look for other books writen by this author, a serious writer. Reynaldo Lacerda.
