This is one of the worst books/series I’ve ever read.
I’m sorry, but OMG! Did the author even think the story through or just write whatever came to mind and hoped it fit? The premise of the entire series about some witches that worship and pull their power from the moon and who also revere the Moon Goddess and her daughters, yet their sole plan here is to defy that moon goddess and resurrect someone she sent to hell…. 🤔 while still revering that Goddess and Star touched supernaturals. What? And this book is FAR from a finally, but I’ll get into that later.
It’s like the author didn’t see how she was contradicting that whole thing when she wrote this. Then we have the whole shifters are beneath witches and vampires are all evil and soulless thing that was brought up countless times and challenged a few times but never went anywhere. How did that even come into fruition? Because they currently have an alliance with the Uptown vampires, but they’re still vampires. There’s the mention of other packs and alphas, but where are they located. All we get is the Pine Valley pack and the Spring Creek one. Are any of the other packs allied with vampires? Do any other packs create guardians? There was mention of guardians all the way down in Miami Florida, but no packs are in the south. 🤔
As for the story details, no where in any of the three pervious books was it ever said that Connor told Jax that Ruby was his mate. No where. Yet in this book and once in the last, a conversation took place that implied that Jax was already aware that they were mates. Considering how he loathed Ruby, you would think that would be a reveal that readers would want to read about.
Then we have the reveal about who Ruby’s parents are. It was so unexpected. Not in the sense that you couldn’t figure it out given what was previously written, or come close to guessing, but in the sense that the books lead up to start making you believe she had mixed heritage… like maybe a fae and a shifter or shifter and vampire or something with the type of magic she wields and all this star touched business. Speaking of that, it never even really explains why she was chosen in the first place. Hazel spoke like there were other who had been Star touched in the past when she saw the mark and even Jax made a comment like he had heard of it with another type of supe but never a shifter but then that’s it. Nothing. So you’re left to wonder who these previously Star touched folk are and what happened to them. How were they chosen? What is the purpose of Star touched individuals. You won’t find out in this “finale”.
The whole fight with the mate bond between Ruby and Conner was poorly delivered. The way she tried to portray the pull versus the person’s free will, especially with Connor, made him seem bipolar and delusional instead of conflicted, which I now realize she was going for. The boy gave me whiplash.
And Ruby. Ruby was supposed to exhibit as a strong, stubborn female with determination, but the author made her as dumb as all get out. Someone could say something point blank and then she would ponder over it for a minute or so saying “the realization just hit me” and then say exactly what they just revealed as if she made a realization on her own. Really? And that’s just one example of how dumb she was. After hearing about what a blood bond was and seeing for herself with Lindsay and Jason, she still swore that she wasn’t under one and that she loved Tristan. And despite her realizing the necklace made her feel safe, warm and comforted AND living in a house with witches knowing they could spell things, she never thought twice about the necklace, even after saying it exuded a pulse of power a few times.
Her wolf, even after being suppressed a few times, never once warned her about what the necklace was doing. Clearly it didn’t affect her the same was it affected Ruby. So when she was free, you’d think she’d warn her or try to say something to that effect. Nope. But she could tell her other things though.
Then there was the whole Jax and Autumn thing that became slightly obvious at her and Connor’s engagement bonfire. I was torn between what it really was or was it the revenge Tristan had requested from Calliope when he agreed to go in the basement cell with Ruby. Since it was the former, guess what? We never find out what it was that Tristan wanted with Autumn. It couldn’t be the “turn over the alpha” thing because that was already agreed to the night she went to Calliope to make the deal. So what was it? We don’t find out in the “finale”.
So many things the “finale” left open. The epilogue is a time jump of a month later with Tristan’s POV. He’s getting with Willow. Prior to that, dark shadows were released from hell and headed towards the city when they used the Key of Hades. That wasn’t addressed. Ruby’s parents are now back in the picture but what happens with them? What happens with the whole guardians killing vampires thing?

I liked book 1, was disappointed by book 2, and unfortunately, it didn't get any better in book 3. I only read book 4 to finish the series. I have to admit that I'm not the right reader for this series. Perhaps I could have figured that out with more research beforehand, but I was convinced by the blurb. I'll be wiser next time.

Ruby finally understands the sudden connection that’s she has with Tristan it wasn’t just an innocent connection it’s the blood bond and an enchanted necklace that Tristan had that was not only confusing Ruby emotionally but he was using this to distort the mate bond that she had with Connor to make her believe that the love between Tristan and Ruby was real when it wasn’t and with it finally gone Ruby could think with a clearer mind yes the bond was still there but hopefully it would fade soon.
However after finding all this out it made Ruby’s decision easier yes Ruby and her wolf wanted to be with Connor but in order to save her parents who have had their memories wiped by the coven she would have to do what is needed and that would mean she would need to choose Tristan and the Blood Coven over her fated mate and take the key of hades back to the coven.
Due to the oath that was created in exchange for Ruby’s help in retrieving the key the coven would bring her parents memories back. No matter what Ruby would do what was needed to stop the coven from using the key, save her parents memories and finally join with her fated mate Connor!!
However after finding all this out it made Ruby’s decision easier yes Ruby and her wolf wanted to be with Connor but in order to save her parents who have had their memories wiped by the coven she would have to do what is needed and that would mean she would need to choose Tristan and the Blood Coven over her fated mate and take the key of hades back to the coven.
Due to the oath that was created in exchange for Ruby’s help in retrieving the key the coven would bring her parents memories back. No matter what Ruby would do what was needed to stop the coven from using the key, save her parents memories and finally join with her fated mate Connor!!

The conclusion to this series starts off right where the other left off, in the Fae realm. You get Ruby’s reaction you were left wanting in the last book right in chapter 1. The book never leaves the momentum of story telling and adventure. You get more shifter time, vampire time, witch time and now you get goddess time!! There is love, compassion, action and universe opening all in one book! I can’t wait for the next series in this universe!!

I so enjoyed this last book in this series.
Ruby has two men who love her. One rejected her and she just found out that the other one betrayed her trust. She has the Key of Hades, but is unsure what to do with it. The witches want it, but she knows what the results will be if they use it.
Unsure which way to go, she has to learn to trust her inner-wolf. She then gets help from a most unexpected source.

Two of the best parts in this book were 1) finally Connor and Ruby get together and there’s no more secrets between them then 2) the fight scene where it all comes together.
I’d say the fight scene, although really fast and short, was the most fun to read. I am a little shocked at the real identities of her parents who are actually Abigail and Xavier, they were previously shifters before having their magic stripped away / identities altered. Luna is actually a goddess and also is the one who chose Ruby to be star touched.
Connor becomes pack alpha after challenging Jax to prevent him from killing Rubys parents after finding out they are Abigail and Xavier who killed Jax/Connors family.
My cons were the fact that numerous times, Ruby would be with Luna and say something like “I won’t let you down” and Lunas response is “I know, that’s why I chose you” it’s repeated several times in slightly different ways and after like the third time I just rolled my eyes. We got it the first time. My gosh. The other was the fact that this book had Ruby going through trials to get access to a special bow and arrow that has a crazy amount of power to fight the witches. The previous book had several of them going on trials to get the key of hades. Why did books back to back need to have trials? Although the trials for Ruby were different (and quite easy if I’m honest) I just felt like it was over played at that point.
The trials she endured was herding sheep/rams, finding THE gem in a field of gems, facing the fears of her insecurities.
The ending left it open for a Tristan and Willow romance. But why? I would have preferred a bad Tristan that was heart broken and maybe seeking revenge lol. But after a month he’s already over a retching betrayal and heart break? Interesting. I guess he IS a vampire.

okay
Did this book finalize all the things (and I mean all the things) that were brought up throughout the first 3 books? Yes. Did it add stuff to try and make the conclusion feasible? Also yes. Was that “stuff” out of nowhere? Yup. So I’m giving this a 3 ⭐️ cause it felt rushed. So much time was spent on the characters little struggles and dumb stuff and the big things were brushed over. The fact that he rejected her was just glossed over because he was present and said he wanted her.
This book is really for the teenagers. Maybe even preteens with the lack of depth.

Intriguing.
It is no secret that I am a big Michelle Madow fan. I've been reading her books since I discovered them in 2012. She has a talent of capturing readers from the beginning and leaving you wanting the next book in the series. It's been a few months since I've read Cursed Moon , and I'm wondering what happens next for Ruby and her friends. I was mostly curious to see what would happen with her and Tristan, following that revelation about him in the last book, and whether she would forgive him. A part of me hoped she'd see past it. I know it doesn't look good for Tristan, but I know he adores her. Despite everything that had occurred, he was there for her.
I worried about Ruby and wondered if she'd be able to carry out the plan. I understand why she pretended with Tristan to achieve her goal, but I didn't like her plan. I didn't believe it was fair to Tristan; he seemed to genuinely care about Ruby, based on their interaction. I like this book, but not in the same manner that I liked the other novels in the series. I liked Connor and could see he cared for Ruby, but I didn't feel the same connection between the two of them as I did with Tristan and Ruby. At least that was the sense I had.
I'm wondering about the rest of the characters and wonder if they'll appear in the Black Sun. Morgan was my favorite witch, and I hope she appears in the future books. I also felt that there were some rushed sections in the book, such as the ending, and the trials were a little confused for me. Despite having read the first three books, I felt like there were significant gaps in the story. I loved reading this book, and there were a few times where I struggled to put it down. I was curious to know how Ruby's story would finish; nevertheless, it was not what I expected.
I’m excited to check out Amber and Damien’s story in Black Sun next. If you love fantasy, I would highly recommend checking this series out.

Fast paced. Quick read. YA with no spice. This was the final book in the series. Star touched wolf shifter FMC was fated mates with an alpha heir who was already in a relationship and planning to stay with his gf. The gf turned her over and to a witches coven who was using her for evil to resurrect the first original vampire from hell so he decided he couldn't trust her anymore and wanted to be with his mate. FMC Ruby entered an entanglement with one of the vampires working with the coven but could never really fully give herself to him because of the mate bond. The witches are able to bring vampire back but she kills him again with the help of the wolves and her mate.
All honestly. I didn't like how much the MMC Connor was trying so hard to work with his gf to make it work and deny the bond for all the books. Finally half way through the last book in the series (4) he decides "I love Ruby and you're my mate and I need you". Lame. They didn't even really get time to love each other. Ruby spent more time in the books with the vampire, Tristen. I almost wanted her to choose him because he was actually loving her and choosing her at his core and not just because of a bond. He loved her out loud whereas her "mate" loved her for like 100 pages of the whole series.

Ruby spent more time in the books with the vampire, Tristen. I almost wanted her to choose him because he was actually loving her and choosing her at his core and not just because of a bond. He loved her out loud whereas her "mate" loved her for like 100 pages of the whole series.

This last book in the series begins where the last one left off. Ruby has the Key of Hades the coven of the dark witches has her retrieve if she ever wanted to see her family again. Now it is a dilemma. Should she give them the key to the coven to help them or not. But if she doesn't she will never see her family or friends again. Then of course she has two men who want a relationship with her. Connor is her fated mate but he had rejected her can she ever trust him again? And then there is Tristan, a vampire, who had stood beside her when she needed someone there. BUT when she was able to see through him and his motives, well that's not so good either so the only one she felt she could trust was herself. This is a fun series to read that keeps you engaged from the first book to the surprise finale in the last book with so many twists and turns! I received an ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

DNF. I’ve pushed my way through these books because it started off well - I love a rejected mates trope.
But this book completely loses the plot. There were just too many elements thrown in. In the last book we were taken into the Fae lands where Ruby and Co undergo a bunch of trials to acquire the key of hades.
I gave up on this book around the time Luna the goddess turns up and takes Ruby to some celestial realm where she meets some magical Ram-shifters. Turns out the witches wanted the key of hades to raise Ambrogio, father of all the vampires and lover of Selene the moon goddess. At this point I decided I was not up for another fucking quest. It felt like a merry go round and there was not enough angst to keep me invested.

To be honest, I did not like how Connor and Ruby ended up together. I know they are mates so it was gonna circle back to that eventually but one minute he hates her and wants autumn and only autumn and Ruby is heartbroken and suddenly you blink and Connor is willing to die for Ruby and she just instantly forgives him? To me, he should have had some serious apologizing to do to Ruby to regain her trust in him back. She was so willing to run back to him after her hurt her so badly. I think they needed more relationship building.

Real Star Rating 3.5 Stars
There were things I liked about the book/series and things I didn't. I loved Ruby as a character and I loved how she made her own for much of the series. I do feel like the romance with Conner didn't work for me. I felt like she and Tristan had way more chemistry in this series and their journey of overcoming would have been more interesting to read. I felt like Connor got off easy because they are fated mates even though he was just as "bad" as Tristian.
I did like Ruby's parent storyline and some of the twists in this story. Plus I'm intrigued by the introduction of Damien and very interested in his story.

-saying you love someone and then the moment that is tested you move on like it was nothing.
-Trial was not great.
-The ending is left with some answers not figured out. Hated it.

-I did like the love triangle even though she should have made both work harder to get her forgiveness.
-The lore was actually realistic... I looked it up!

-Ruby is a strong and fierce women who grows stronger as the story progresses.

Let me say, I love Michelle Madow’s writings but this series in particular was not my favorite. I enjoyed a lot of the book details through out the other books but this 4th one felt rushed to me, sadly. I didn’t connect with this last book at all. It switched way to quickly for me from “I will never feel accepted” to “this is my home and I love it and I feel so accepted and loved” - way to quickly and without a-lot of transition time. I’m hoping the next part of this series in the Star-Touched realm is a bit more thorough and the relationship connections are deeper.

Loved how this book picked up right where I needed it too with the last book ending with that massive plot becoming known to all the characters. This has been a really good series. I enjoyed getting to know Ruby and all that she could become. I will say that there was a lot that happens it this book and at parts it felt a little rushed, for me. I did however love this conclusion to this series and it leaves off the way she did with her Dark World series where you with have multiple series coming together for possibly a finale ending, with I really enjoyed.

Well, the last book of the series and i'm heart broken that there is no more. Oh why do I do this to myself. I fall in love with the books and when they come to a end all I want is more.
This series has had me in its clutches and Connor has had me pissed off for most of it. How can someone hate a character and love them as well?
I hope i'm not the only one that is happy with the way the series ended. She leaves it open for more series to follow. SO many options. Still heart broken about Tristan tho. Dang it

Addicting Series
This series as a whole was amazing. I loved every book. I spent way too many hours staying up late reading because I could not put them down…
My only critique would be that some of the characters/ scenes seem… The authors words in them seem to lack maturity (for lack of better words). This is only on occasion! Overall the books are very well written and draw you right in.
Madow is a phenomenal young writer and I greatly look forward to reading more of her work and follow her as an artist because her work truly is a work of art.

I want to say I’m speechless 😶 , but your an incredible talented writer and I can't wait to read the next Star Touched series , “Vampire Bride “ since that’s all I have left to read, but I will probably wait until June 10th to start that book so when the 2nd book comes out, I will not have to wait!! This book doesn’t leave anything unanswered and I definitely will recommend this book… I loved 🥰 the ending..

I loved this series! I thoroughly enjoyed it and thought the plot was engaging and made me not want to put the book down! I loved the love triangle between the three main characters, and the drama within the supporting characters! Also the closed door romance kept you on the edge of your seat with the slow burn, but also gave just enough detail to allude to what happened. Michelle Madow did a great job with this series, and I am excited to read the star touched vampire series that is a sequel to this!

The best flights are short, smooth and have a soft landing. This is an apt description of this book. The journey of Connor and Ruby finding a future together is senselessly complicated and caused too much pain others. The battle against a force that will promote hate and chaos was fun. Though it might have been for nothing. The opening for a Morgan and a Tristan spin-off are also intriguing. Easy read.

Goodness- waiting was worth it. I’m not sure I was prepared for exactly how everything turned out. I’ve adored ruby since the beginning and I can’t believe the things this poor girl had to go through. However it was awesome! This ending has been a wild ride and I’ve had some rollercoaster feelings with it. Amazing to see how beautiful love can overcome anything. It’s not just romantic love, but the love of friendship and support. This was an amazing adventure!!

Loved this book
Absolutely am amazing series, so many twists and turns in the series, so happy that ruby got Conner in the end and I really hope that Conner and his grandfather wouldn't have been rid apart as they only had each other through out they lifes, it was a real shame that it played out like that.

Well this unpacks a lot! Autumn discovers her mate and Ruby learns the blood covens plan. They want to resurrect the original vampire. Ruby has to help them so her parents will remember her. And her parents arent who they pretend to be. Connor tries to help Ruby from a distance and Luna reveals her true self. It is definitely a very twisty book but in a good way!

Overall I really enjoyed this series - It has plenty of action, twists and romance. It was an easy enjoyable read although Ruby is not an easy to like lead - she is more wishy washy than I prefer. The reader did get some answers in this final installment but there are some that were never answered. There is a mention of future books set in this world that I look forward to.

This is a young adult book but seemed more like teens
I'm a Michelle fan but this series didn't do it for me. It is set with college age but dialog felt more like teens. It also just felt disconnected as far as the characters and plots. This series leads into another main vampire character so I'm hoping for Michelle's usual dynamic storytelling.

This book picks up right where the previous book ended. As I've said before, Michelle Madow's creativity is amazing! I'm always impressed with all the crazy worlds and scenarios she comes up with. That being said, this series was not my favorite. Ruby was not the sharpest tool in the shed, so I hope female leads in future books have more depth and wits about them.

Great ending to a fast paced series
Author did a fabulous job wrapping up the plot and tying off the loose ends of the series. The parents' identity was a twist and I'm feeling there could be additional series after focusing on those who left but overall this was fast paced and entertaining.
