After a long journey, love has finally come to Samantha Lapp's life. But just as quickly as happiness has found her, tragedy strikes. Samantha is left trying to pick up the pieces of her broken life. Will her faith be strong enough to guide her through, and will she ever be able to open her heart up again after what happened?
The Buggy News (Amish Love of a Lifetime #2) was another good read by Sadie Palmer. Samantha Schuster and Steven Mueller were courting and working at the same restaurant. She loved that because it meant they'd see each other often. But Steven broke her heart and now she must see him everyday at work. She stumbles upon a job listing at an Amish newspaper "The Buggy News". She knows that this job will change everything but she doesn't expect the challenges. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more by the author.
The Buggy News (Amish Love of a Lifetime #2), my first read from Christian author Sadie Palmer. If there's a problem with this book that it's so short. You want stories/books longer so you can enjoy them for a longer time. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reading & reviewing it. Julie Lancelot’s talented narration adds to the book's enjoyment. I'll definitely be reading more from this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
While the writing is not the worst, it's hardly ready for publication. Dialog is stilted and dull. Characters are more like a secular adolescent imagination of what Amish culture is like than an imaginary story derived from someone who lived a Christian adolescence, much less Amish. I tried to make myself read this, but, no. I read a few chapters, scanned ahead, skipped to Book 2, read a few pages, and gave up.
This was a very good book. You got to follow different people through their life and see God work out his will in their lives.. You could see God working in their lives. Easy read and very enjoyable
A look at Samantha, older than most Amish and not married yet. A life similar to other young girls, in working in the same place as your boyfriend, until there is a break up. Seeing him everyday and with someone else. Taking a job at the newspaper, and hoping to meet that special person. She has a strong faith in God. Delightful to read and enjoyed the narration by Julie Lancelot.
