I think this book is amazing even for women to read. It helps you to really see we are in a battle and even women can help out. It takes and helps you to have a passion for really living for Jesus even more.
It does talk in a guy way but I mean it is men who wrote the book so I completely understand. You just have to look at it in the sense of God has women warriors also.

What an amazing book, and a must read for all. It truly portrays the picture of human existence and our nature of sin. We are warriors at heart once we learn the truth and must face battles both physically and spiritually. Boykins does an exceptional job of describing Jesus and representing him as the true warrior he was, never compromising the truth with a humble passion for his creation.

My father gave me this book, I think because of my military background, and I enjoyed it, but...
It is a book that will have a relatively narrow audience, I am actually not talking about men. The stories are great, but it has a certain amount of “cheesiness” that almost turned me off of reading the book even though it had a ton of good bits in it.
P.S. A big bonus for me was that the authors shared quite a few other books as well that they used as source material, which does makes this book a winner in my mind. I love book suggestions.

Amazing read
This book is an awesome read! As both a Christian in today's world and a Soldier in today's American military, this book brings continued hope and renewed passion to continue walking with Jesus and serving my country! Highly recommended for all Christians; especially those who suit up and defend our great nation!

A true warriors handbook

"Shooting at the walls of heartache, bang, bang. I am the warrior." Er... perhaps Patty Smyth doesn't relate well to this book. Interesting perspective from men who were in the military. However, dudes got some grudges and their views on Islam and "liberals" are actually a bit offensive. The book is written very simply and is often repetitive and an attempt to sell other books. Now, there were some nuggets in there that were useful and enlightening, but it wasn't very deep. Outside of some stories from the battlefield I never heard before, I feel I could've gotten the gist of this book from living.

A really good read. It's a slow start. But, it will help you to understand the calling of a Godly man. We are called to be warriors. This is a good read for the individual and anyone who desires to be a man of strength.
