This is the seventh installment of the seal brotherhood series.. and I'm just kind of waiting until I reach the finish line. Am I close?
In <>SEAL of My Heart you will meet Christy and Tyler. They were an okay couple but not my favorite. It was probably just Christy's character because I just couldn't like her. She was annoying throughout the book and I was kind of hoping that she wasn't going to stay Tyler's love interest.. but unfortunately she did.
Tyler was adorable throughout the book. I feel like all the men from the Navy are. However, I just kept waiting for him to realize that Christy just wasn't worth it. It never happened but I still kept reading and hoping.
Overall, the romance was okay but it wasn't my favorite couple or book of the series.
I really liked Kyle the Navy Seal, I loved the first meeting between Kyle and Christy.
I am not really sure how I feel about the book as a whole, I liked the story. I was just not a big fan of Christy, I kind of felt like she was a little to immature. I wanted to like her but I just didn't I kept hoping she would redeem herself for me but she didn't.
I really did like Kyle like I said I think him wanting to find out what was going on with his friend was admirable for sure. I loved how he was always worried about Christy’s safety and how he didn't want anything he was into to come back on her.
Over all a great story love story, trust and faith pulled them through. I did enjoy the narrator but I did find him to be a little robotic at times.

I adore Sharon's Seals with each book I just grow to love Team 3. Tyler & Kate make such a cute couple. Adored how Tyler had to come to rescue her even when he was hurt himself. The depth in each of these novels amaze me. Hope to see more of this couple in further books.
Charming storyline which kept me my interest from start to finish. The attraction between Tyler and Kate is immediate, but it takes them a while to act upon it. With a mystery to solve, a mission to finish and outside influences, will these two lovely people ever be able to have their happy ever after? Read the book and find out. I highly recommend it. I'm still eagerly exploring the world of audio books as a newbie so I was willing to give this one a try when I was offered the chance. Add to that a new to me author I wanted to try and a military romantic suspense and it was an easy choice.
I ended up both listening and reading this one to try out Amazon's Whispersync for the first time since I already had an e-copy of the book. I know this is old news to others, but I thought it was pretty cool beans to have that flexibility with the book. I found it an uncomplicated process and made the switch a few times. I did have to be a little patient when I went back and forth because it took a few seconds to 'sync' to the furthest point, but other than that it was a snap.
This book is the seventh book in a series. It was the first one I listened to/read, but I had no trouble since it worked well out of order or as a standalone. Yes, there were mentions of characters that I surmise were the main characters in previous books, but the plot was self-contained and the world explained well enough for me to get along fine.
The story opens with Kate Morgan flying up to Portland to visit her sister. Kate is engaged to the son of a wine making family in Sonoma and he is everyone's idea of a catch. As the big wedding day approaches, Kate starts to harbor doubts. She knows that everyone else would just call it wedding jitters because she and Randy are 'perfect' for each other and yes, she liked him, too. It is sitting next to a total stranger that completely unsettles her and puts things in perspective. Her quick connection and attraction to Tyler is enough to make her realize that she is getting ready to make a huge mistake with Randy. Tyler is definitely interested, but he wants no part in breaking up her engagement nor does he want to be her rebound guy. His understanding and caring lead her to be willing to step out and take a different direction in her life even to exchanging letters with a Navy SEAL and giving him a chance from thousands of dangerous miles away.
Tyler Gray simply planned to fly up and spend some time with his folks before his next assignment. This assignment is hush hush like all of them, but there are hints that it will be hard and more dangerous than usual. His relaxing trip gets upended by a woman who takes his breath away. He always wanted a special love and chance for a family and he can't believe his bad luck to discover that she is taken. Or is she... Tyler spends time with Kate and they connect quickly and deeply. He tries to do the right thing, but he still can't keep away or break it off completely. He is thrilled when she agrees to let them write. The other guy doesn't seem to appreciate her qualities and takes her for granted. If the guy steps aside, Tyler will definitely take over from there. He only has a few days before he leaves and he is concerned about the situation Kate will be in, but he trusts that she has the strength and the heart to be there for him when he gets back.
This story situation was not exactly one that I was sure about. The scenario of a woman engaged to another guy was not setting well with me. I went ahead with the story anticipating that I might very well set it aside because of it. As it turned out, I didn't, but I won't go so far as to say that my concerns were unwarranted. Kate does indeed skate the line with Tyler. There is no actual cheating taking place and neither was there a love triangle. But yeah, I would be more comfortable with a different set up.
So the story started out slow as Kate and Tyler introduced, dealt with attraction, and Kate sorted out her situation with Randy and how she felt about Tyler. It wasn't utter drab-dom since Kate and Tyler really burned up the sheets. Oh yeah, girlfriend was a wildcat and shocked even her SEAL into realizing he'd hit jackpot. For three-fourths of the book, it was Contemporary Romance and a gentle slow developer at that. It wasn't until the last segment that both action and suspense kicked in with two different situations. I was only mildly interested up until that point, but then howdy boy was I into it.
JD Hart as a narrator was a definite plus. He did a really great job with Tyler and pretty well with the other voices too including the gals. His timing and sense of storytelling were right on. In fact, the best compliment I can give is that I didn't even notice him, but only the story.
In summary, I enjoyed my first time reading/listening to this author and would definitely read more of the series. Romantic suspense lovers who like a lot of spice and don't mind the balance more toward romance should give it a go.
My thanks to Barclay Publicity for the opportunity to listen to this story in exchange for an honest review.
This is a story in which Kate Morgan, is working at her fiancés winery in charge of sales. They end up breaking up and over a weekend not wanting to meet anyone she ends up meeting Navy Seal Tyler Grey. They then continue to talk to one another and get together when he has days off leaving San Diego and going up North. As their relationship continues to grow there are problems at her job with missing money and some people think she might be responsible for it. He finds out that his Team his being deployed to North Africa realizing that he wants more than just a weekend romance he talks to her about wanting more in his life and wanting her to be part of it with him. She really does not know how to feel since ending her last relationship and also having problems with her best friend. But once he is gone she realizes that she cares for him more than she thought and then she finds out from her mother about her relationship with a marine years ago and reading the letters that she kept. She sees firsthand what lost love can be like. The ending has one more twist that deals with her job and discloses who was stealing the money which turned out to be a surprise. Overall this was a good book. i got this book from net galley.
SEAL of My Heart is the story of Tyler Gray and Kate that all started when they met on a plane ride between San Francisco and Portland, Oregon where they are seat mates. Tyler is a nice guy from the start and sees a girl he wants and is patient enough to wait for her to figure out what she wants.
She has a problem before Tyler came into the picture; she is engaged to a man that she realizes that she does not love and most likely doesn't love her. Family and friends have pushed them together and she finally realizes she has to call an end to the engagement. Randy, her now ex turns into an aggressive and obnoxious bully, which she refuses to let influence her further. She also realizes that Tyler is the her one and only. The romance develops quickly with lots of problems along the way but the SEAL comes through in the end making SEAL of my Heart a great romance.
Part of SEALS of Summer: Military Romance Superbundle
Two-haiku review:
She's re-thinking plans Should she break her engagement? Meets hot SEAL on plane
It felt incomplete Too much thinking for my taste Novella, not whole
It appears that a novella-length version of this full-length book was included in the SEALs bundle, since there was none of the suspense that other reviewers refer to. This doesn't make me happy. And what I read wasn't good enough that I would pay for the full story, although that doesn't mean I wouldn't try another book by this author. A whole book, not a partial.

Follow this sweet journey of finding your one true love! Seals Don't Back Down...Ever! Love Sharon's Seals!!
Ms. Hamilton always exceeds on her stories with each and every one she writes for the brotherhood of her SEALS. This book doesn't disappoint as it's well worth everything you pay for Tyler and Kate's story of love, honor, family and of course, suspense on Tyler's brief deployment to Africa. I can't wait for the next book in the series to come out! Everyone please remember to thank the military whenever you see them for all their hard work they do to keep us all safe.
I had a hard time getting into this book. I didn't feel anything for the lead characters. The story didn't hold my attention. I looked forward to the end of the book.
There is no way I can write this review before I stop first and say, “THANK YOU!” to all who have served and are actively serving in the military protecting us here and on foreign soil and making it possible for me to have the wonderful freedoms I have today. One of those being the right to voice my opinion and my opinion of this book is WOW! Sharon Hamilton takes the reader “up and personal” with the life of Navy Seals and if you aren’t touched by this book then check and see if your heart is still beating. The thoughts, the emotions, the struggles and the life-threatening experiences of Navy Seal Tyler Gray will bring you to your knees in thankfulness that men and women like him do this day in and day out so that we may sit in our cozy homes and read romance novels like this. As you delve into this book, you also realize that it’s not just the ones serving effected but their families are bravely holding it together at home clinging to the faith that their love one is going to return home to them. The book uses the letters Tyler writes to Kate in such a meaningful way that they mean as much if not more than the steamy love scenes they share. In this day of emails, texts and phones, have we lost the beauty and romance of a heartfelt letter written and sent in our absence? I hope not. Without spoiling the book, I have to mention a scene that brought tears to my eyes, as Tyler is being deployed Kate gives him her deodorant to remember her scent by and during a crucial time in that deployment Tyler is trying to desperately keep Kate close to him so he takes his cell phone which has her latest message to him, that deodorant, and the latest letter he has written her and places them down the front of his t-shirt next to his heart. That struck my heart and will stick there forever. God bless those who cling to the scent of a love one. Sharon Hamilton has written a remarkable book, do yourself a favor and read it. I’m an ARC reviewer: reading for the enjoyment and reviewing so that others may know what to expect and authors may be helped.

Once again, the audiobook version of this story enhances and brings to life the book version, making me love it even more the second time around. The story centers around Team 3 Navy SEAL Tyler Gray and Kate Morgan , the young woman he meets on a flight to Portland. Unexpectedly, sparks fly between them as they spend time next to each other on the plane. This attraction reiterates to Kate, who recently got engaged that she needs to listen to her heart and her head. Both confirming that she needs to break up with her fiance since she never really loved him they way she should. In the meantime, though attracted to Kate, Tyler is determined to do the right thing and not intervene in her life. As a friendship, emotions and attraction develops, reality does as well. As does a sub-plot at the winery where Kate works. Add to that secrets, and a deployment that might end Tyler’s life, and you are on an emotional rollercoaster all the way to the end. This is a story about the heart, hopes, doing the right thing, trust, family and the life of not only a military man/woman, but also that of the loved ones left behind. Let’s not forget the narrator, J D Hart, gives us a great performance. Another winner from this author.
Tyler and Kate had a serious case of instalove or love at first site. With everyone assuming that Tyler was the reason for her change of plans, I was surprised she was not more insistent that she started having doubts well before she met Tyler. She did mention it but it was half-hearted at best.
Kate was kind of clueless. I'm not sure why it took meeting Tyler to.open her eyes. Even when she talked to Randy's father, it didn't click for her.
I liked Tyler. I honestly didn't think much of Kate. I was offended by Gretchen taking the absolute minimal child support to prove something to her ex. Didn't seem like she took into consideration what her children might need.
There was some action, danger, and suspense which mostly came from SEAL Team 3's deployment. There was also a dash of the same elements later in the book. Other than that being some of the best parts, it was an ok read.

First off, I loved how the first part of this book took place in Portland, OR where the characters went to both VooDoo Donuts and Powell's bookstore, two highlights of the city. But maybe I'm bias since I'm a Portland native. Anyways, so both Kate and Tyler are on the flight to Portland, Kate to see her sister before the her own wedding and Tyler to see his parents before his deployment. Have you ever believed in love at first sight? Well that's kind of what happens to these two. But the problem is is Kate is already spoken for, though she realizes that she never really wanted to marry her fiancé. So after calling off the wedding and starting a new relationship with Tyler, Kate's reality back home is not what she thought it would be. Secrets are revealed and a situation that will put Kate's life in danger which is a twist that will keep you on the edge of your seat!

Kate is engaged to her boss' son, but it hasn't felt right for a while, the wedding prepartaions are being rushed, and not at all what she wants. She meets Tyler as she's flying to stay with her sister for the weekend, feeling free, which isn't how you should be feeling when you're engaged. Tyler is immediately attracted to Kate but sees the rock on her finger and tries to back off. He's only in Portland for a short time, saying hello and goodbye to his parents, before he's off on a mission, he's a Seal. He says he will write every day while he is away and they can discuss what they feel when he gets back.

Kate and Tyler meet each other on an airplane headed for Portland. Tyler Gray will be deploying soon so he is visiting his parents before he has to leave. Kate Morgan is visiting her sister. Kate is engaged to marry Randy, her boss’ son, but lately she has been having second thoughts about going through with it. For Kate and Tyler, this meeting feels like a time to consider some possibilities for the future. Kate feels comfortable and loved with Tyler, and he has a feeling of being where he was meant to be when he is with her. But will Randy’s family retaliate against her? Can Tyler keep her safe?
The story does twist and turn in some implausible situations, but grab your copy and see if there is a HEA somewhere in the mix.
This is another fabulous book in this series. Tyler had always given his buddies a heard time when they fell in love, and now he finally fell. Even though he met Kate on a plane to Portland, the two acted like they had known each other forever. I was glad that this pushed her over the edge to decide she wasn’t I love with her fiancée. Tyler and Kate’s love story happened so quickly, and it broke my heart that Tyler was getting ready to deploy. I was surprised that Kate’s mom gave her a hard time about breaking up with her fiancé. I was not surprised by her fiancé giving her a hard time, especially since she worked at his families winery. There were some suspenseful times in the book that had me on the edge of my seat. I strongly encourage you to read the book.
I just finished this, I loved it. theres a bit more military stuff in this one as the team deploys for an urgent job, that helps to give a bit more to the story (after all they are seals). I did miss hearing a bit more of the rest of the team as a lot of this one takes place nearer to nick and devan, so not as involved with the other guys or wives. the winery and the stuff going on there was interesting and added to the story quite well but for me it was the deployment and the coping with being separated and how couples deal with it that made this story great. Reread March 2024. Wonderful characters, a few twists on both characters sides. Emotional and gives insight into living a military life and being separated by deployments and all the worry that goes with that. Loved it.
Great continuation with the SEAL Brotherhood series. Tyler and Kate meet while on a plane traveling to Portland. She's on her way there to spend time with her sister and nieces and to get away from the wedding planning to a man she doesn't really want to marry. He's on his way there to spend the weekend with family before he's deployed on another mission. The chemistry is immediate and hot! I have truly enjoyed reading this series. The characters are well written and real. The story line continues to flow from one book to the next, keeping you intrigued and wanting more. I definitely recommend both this author and this series.
This entire series has been great! The characters are all different from one another but close enough to make the series worth reading!
Kate and Tyler meet on a plane and just click and the chemistry between them is off the charts!
We all know that finding the one to spend the rest of your life with isn't easy and Kate realizes that now but will it be too late? Tyler, getting ready to be deployed knows not to get involved but he just couldn't. Can she make him rethink the idea of deployment when no other woman has ever made him second guess his dream?.

A hot steamy romance. A one in miilion encounter on an airplane solidifies Kate decision to call off her impending wedding. When she is with Tyler feels and can imagine a fairytale future. Though there is a backflash from both families. Kate's friend is discouraging of her new relationship and flirts with her ex in front of her. Kate's Mom reveals a past relationship with a Marine. Tyler goes on a very dangerous mission and is injured. Kate is put in danger will Tyler be able to save her.

Although Kate and Tyler’s story starts with the complication of her already being engaged, she already had doubts about the marriage before she met Tyler. But when they meet on the plane they are immediately drawn to one another. And as they get to know one another, they both feel as though they are meant to be together. Of course ,her ex-fiance, his family and her family have their own thoughts about how it all happened. This story has lots of twists, turns, drama and intrigue! Great addition to the series!
