Shortly before the fall of Atlantis, genetic engineers created three new prototypes, Kam, Mel, and Leon, the first humans to have blue eyes and shape-shifting capabilities. With climatic conditions on Earth spinning rapidly out of control, the future of Atlantean civilization depends entirely on whether the three test subjects can work together to solve the deepening crisis. But first, they need to find each other.

CHAMELEON A truly wide-ranging adventure in time and space focussing on 3 intriguingly different characters and their roles and inter-relationships. The book also opens a window on the deep history of human civilisation and on how that history might help in our present climate dilema and in its posible solution.
A remarkable, clever cli-fi tale centred around Plato's 'mythical' Atlantis, Holding's keenly researched story creates a vivid vision of an ancient past - with advanced technologies, space travel, and alien sea creatures - that once before saw climate catastrophe. The ancient yet futuristic setting and shape-shifting, intuitive main characters, in places reminded me of scenes from Star Wars. I found the genuine references to the region where Atlantis was said to have existed really interesting. Just an enlightening read that leaves you questioning what we truly know about our past and painting a picture of what the next apocalypse might look like, if we don't act now...
Thoughtful climate change in a dramatic story of Atlantis and the battle for survival.
Climate Fiction is an expanding and exciting genre and Sarah paints a picture of life in Atlantis at a time of major climate change. The story centres on three very different genetically modified humans learning to cope with their new lives and talents in a rapidly changing world. Does different mean scary – it shouldn’t. Sarah takes the time to really develop the key characters and the world they live in is intriguing and manages to be both new and familiar. Although the setting is climate catastrophe – the story is about the three impressive individuals finding a way to work together for the future of Atlantis. Designed to make you think on climate change, it works. Highly recommended.
