Me... what can I say...I love to read books as well as write them!
I enjoy spending time with my baby girl, even though she's now 4 years old! She keeps me on my toes and looking forward to all the exciting things to come!
I enjoy learning and growing daily, finding new things to treasure and being grateful for everything that comes my way!
SERIOUSLY I WAS HAVING MINI ANXIETY ATTACKS THROUGH THIS WHOLE BOOK I was torn to shreds at the end of book 1 ,so of course lets start up book 2 and re-open the wounds !!
After months of not hearing from Liam , Haley is getting ready to go back to school. She is living in the house Liam bought for them and she is missing Liam wishing he would come back. Quinn is living with her and things with Brody are getting much better. Haley and Kenzie still have yet to speak but having Quinn and Brody around has been great. Trying to get back to herself and move on from Liam is much harder than she thought. She looks and feels like crap. As the semester moves along there are a few run ins with Liam , they do not go very well. I expected him to be pissed and stay away but I did not expect him to move on , nobody did.
The way he spoke to Haley ,wow , and his news of moving on, this was anxiety attack number 1...
Anxiety attack number 2 was Christmas dinner ,I know their families are close but how much can they expect one person to take. Liam makes my head spin , mean one second wanting to be friends and be civil the next , ughhh , I wanted to strangle him. Haley gets a great opportunity for an internship and the news comes during this dinner. Haley is so excited but not everyone shares in her excitement. One thing leads to another and Liam and Haley end up in a confrontation. Things are said and feelings are thrown around. Damage is done and it sends Haley over the edge. Liam attempts to go try and fix this and the result of this seems like some sort of weird dream.
Anxiety attack 3 happens months later when once again Liam is around spreading sunshine and Haley is faced with not 1 but 2 shocking revelations , life changing ones at that. Haley makes a choice to continue on without Liam , letting him be happy and live his life the way he chose. When Haley finally has to open up to Brody about her predicament everyone seems to agree that Liam should know what has happened. Refusing and making everyone promise to not involve him Haley goes off to her internship and shines in the workplace !! while things fall into place back home.
Anxiety attack 4 happens when Haley comes home , Liam puts the pieces together and tragedy strikes.
I have to say I did not put this book down once. I was hanging on the edge , my poor heart was trampled on. I knew something major was coming , I could feel it all along , but it never happened when I thought it would. As soon as I got comfortable with the way the story was going BOOM - it happens. This book is filled with drama and heartache , but all along there is love growing. Love growing between new couples , old couples , family and friends. I love the bits and pieces everyone adds to the story. loved getting a glimpse into their futures and finally read some happiness for certain people !!
If you can’t tell, I was elated to read the follow-up to One Chance. Honestly, as soon as I finished it, I immediately started this one. I just had to know what happened to my favorite lovebirds, Haley and Liam, after they broke up. Womp Womp!
And trust me, life after the breakup was quite interesting for the both of them.
Hales in college with a broken heart + Liam after his first season in the NFL = Argh!
I wanted to shake both of them at various moments throughout this book and tell them to get it together!
Oh, and thank goodness that Meg was no longer a hurdle in this book, but getting those two back together was no easy task. A bumpy road if I do say so myself. It was obvious that they still had feelings for each other, but was love enough to overcome the biggest hurdle of them all? Read it to find out.
Btw….
In this book, Haley irritated me more than Liam. Some of her decision making skills were questionable, and just like Brody, I was bothered by her choices.
My happy moment was seeing Kenzie’s transformation. She went from a jealous, conniving bitch to the world’s best sister. Loved it.
And thank you Ms. Fike for wrapping up this story, and not dragging it on for another book. Thank you for the closure. I appreciate you and loved the ending. P.S. I'm such a sucker for a happily ever after ending.
Oh, and in case you were wondering, I loved this book just as much as the first one. I gave it 5 stars too.
P.S.S. I received this book in exchange for my honest review.
This takes place 3 months after book 1 (One Chance) ends.
Liam and Hailey are no longer together. They can't stand to be around each other. It starts to take a toll on everyone around them.
Liam is engaged to someone else. Kenzie has done a complete 180 and is now acting like a true sister. Quinn is still the loving best friend and Brody is still there for her.
One night that seems like a dream to Hailey, has her life changing completely. She finds out news and doesn't tell the person who should know. Quinn and the gang keep telling her that it needs to be known, but Hailey keeps putting it off.
She still takes her internship in London and Kenzie goes with her. She does an awesome job and they give her a job closer to home.
A tragic accident takes place that has everyone on edge. After many weeks, all their prayers are answered.
What started out as trying to do what seemed to be best, turned into pure love.
I could not be happier with how everything played out! I once again teared up because I was hoping the worse wouldn't happen! I am extremely happy for everyone. The author did such an amazing job with not just the story, but the all of the characters, considering they all played a big part in it. Once again, I was blown away by the author! Another book well written!!
Ahhhhh!!!!! OMG, I really loved this book!! After the way book one ended I had to know what would happen between Haley and Liam!! Once I started reading I was hooked and didn't put it down till the end.
My heart broke for Haley and Liam after the way things ended in One Chance part 1. I couldn't believe the things their own siblings did to them. In One More Chance you will see Haley and Liam continue to struggle. They both want to show they are strong, they both still love each other but will Haley and Liam ever make it back together or have they already moved on with someone else? Will Haley do the right thing and tell Liam the huge secret she is keeping from him?
I loved getting more on the whole gang as well. I love Quinn, she is such a hoot and an awesome best friend!! Will Brody and Kenzie finally grow up and make things right after all the hurt they caused? You definitely will want to find that out!!
That ending.....absolutely perfect!!!! I loved it!!!!
I could go on and on but all I have left to say is...go one click One Chance and One More Chance!!! You definitely won't be disappointed!!!
Beautiful and complicated this story has so many twists and turns it will have your head spinning but in a perfectly happy way. You would think they learned from their mistakes and try to be honest with each other! If that were the case then this would have been a very short book. They have to make these mistakes to grow as a better couple and let me tell you Liam had to do the most growing up! Pride is a terrible thing when it is bruised and that is what keeps these story going because Hails and Liam have forgotten the one thing that can make their lives better.... communication and honesty! The hidden feelings and withheld information makes this for a nail biting read, no seriously, I had to go get my nails done after reading this book! But after the nail biting and cursing at my kindle because I was as frustrated with them as their friends were, I was thrilled when they finally see the light! A beautiful story that gives hope to those that don't think true love prevails. For me Hailey and Liam are proof that you can't fool your heart, it will always win! I am so glad I got to read this amazing story.
I really enjoyed this book as much as the first. The relationships in this two book series were so intense.
Haley and Kenzie are twins that are as different as night and day. After the big blow out Haley had to learn to live without her love, and her sister. Two people that meant everything to her. I really love Haley because she's strong, loving, forgiving and always thinking of others.
Quinn and Brody are Haley's awesome best friends. Although at one point Brody had hurt her so bad that she wasn't sure she could get passed what he did. Once they did they were all inseparable. I loved how close they all were, loyal and always stick together.
Liam is the hard headed, brooding, sexy football player. He is never what he seems. One minute you want to smack him and the next you want to hug him. Liam will drive you nuts throughout this book but I loved his swishy washyness. If he wasn't that way the book wouldn't be what it is.
T. Renee Fike had me hooked again with this book. Her work is awesome!! Five stars have been granted :)
I received this book for an honest review. This is one of those books that once you pick it up you really don't want to put down. This is the conclusion to Liam and Hailey's story. This is book 2 and it is really important that you read book 1 first as this is the conclusion. I fell in love with Liam and Hailey's story in the first book and as we all know that ended with Liam leaving Hailey. This book takes place 3 months after their breakup. You find that Liam is trying to move on without Hailey and she is not really moving on yet. This book for me was absolutely the perfect ending to their story and everyone elses story also. This book absolutely keeps up with the first one. These books were the first books that I have read from this author and I am very excited to read more from this author!!!
Jumped right in and yet again got sucked in and couldn't put it down. All the pain, passion, heartbreak, & love continues. T. Renee Fike another brilliant read. One More Chance picks up a few months after Haley calls off the wedding for a "break" & Liam ends the relationship. Summer is over soon Haley will be back in school. She is still waiting for Liam to reconsider but he will not answer her calls. When Liam surprises everyone by moving on without Hails so easily she decides she too needs to find a way to move on. Liam engaged and happy is shreds her heart but she is glad he is happy. Will fate step in and bring these two hearts back together or will their careers and Liam's impending marriage be what Haley needs to finally know they are over even though she will always love him?

Despite the fact that the first book in this series was rated low by me and I was not going to even bother with this 2nd book, but again it had high reviews. I am impressed with the author for making this book 100% better in all aspects from grammer, dialog, & even helping the readers relate to the characters. This book was a good read that was shorter & Hard to put down. I read it in 3 hours total. The end was a little confusing, honeymoon for who, but otherwise very sweet. Good recovery from the first book. Will check out more from this author because she recovered so well & redeemed herself with this second part.
Holy emotional rollercoaster. Looking for a dramatic read? Look no further. The first book in this series ended with Liam and Haley both heartbroken. And Liam repeatedly breaks Haley's heart and hurts her feeling through a good part of this book. I like Liam, but he can be a real selfish asshole sometimes. There are a few revelations in this book. In my opinion, they were fairly predictable, but I still couldn't put the book down. And I'm so glad this series wrapped up nicely in two books. :)
******SPOILERS****** This could have been such a better read. The 2 part book should have been one. If a few of the childish arguments in the first part were removed both could be combined. Nothing really happens except the HEA for every one of the characters. BORING! So much potential, Evil Meg could have made a reappearance, the mention of Liam's fiancé Nina being a gold digger is thrown out there but that is it, she just sails into the sunset or Hailey could begin work and Liam has jealousy issues as she spends so much time with pro athletes.
WOW WOW WOW!!! I loved this book - I had my doubts because of book 1 because book 1 had me so upset with the way the story left but this book was so good with everything - the surprise; the tragedy; the happy parts and the sad parts but i loved everything about it. i mean there were times when Hailey had me so mad that I wanted to smack her so she would snap out of it but then i love how everything came together and i love everyone's happy ending in this book.
OH MY FREAKIN WOW! This book is the perfect ending to an amazing story. I loved, loved, loved it. This story pulls you in right from the start in one Chance and then continues on right until the end. At times the suspense nearly made me pee my pants. At times I cried so hard my heart ached. This story is so full of love, friendship, trials and tribulations. Liam and Haley are perfect for each other. Their chemistry is off the charts HOT! I highly recommend this book to everywhere.
Fike has done it again! I loved this book. It was so touching and heartbreaking and frustrating all at once. You have to read the first book before this one, but don't worry you wont be disappointed. Both book are really amazing. Fike is my new favorite author and I look forward to reading more by her.
What a great ending to a great series. I truly enjoyed this entire set and will definitely be reading more from this author. She got me on the first one as I was NOT expecting a cliffhanger and was grateful that this one was already out by a few days!!! I'll be on the watch for her releases.
I love a HEA. Though, as Brody would tell Liam, You are really stupid! I have to say I chuckled when he said that. Sometimes I feel like that with both characters, but still love them, even though Liam was a jerk.
Why, why did I waste my time?? I knew better! I just couldn't help myself, I just had to know what happened. If you want to know I'll tell you, in the comments, you just have to ask.
I believe this book could have been condensed with a little less drama and combine with the first in the series to make a complete and awesome stand alone read. I think a few of the same repeats from book one to book two really pushed the envelope and could have been cut and something new added.
I enjoyed the first so very much, but the continue lapse in certain relationships was a bit much for a second book.
Again, loved the constant communication. It was watching a tv show and I really connected.
3.5 stars, liked it but wasnt too keen on the long winded secret pregnancy. I also wish she wasnt as forgiving of kenzie as she was. Liam was really nasty at times which i was extremely disappointed in.
