It wasn't supposed to happen that way. He'd known from a tender young age that what he was meant to be was a successful writer. The problem was that the muse in charge of her talent didn't seem to know that. It turned out all right, though. When not traveling to research his books, he walks daily, tries to keep her bonsai collection alive and the song birds happy at him feeders. Those chores attended to, he settles down each afternoon at his computer, where he writes the kind of books he loves to read: sometimes historical romance, but mostly romantic suspense.

Fun read with the main couple (Meredith Allen and Jackson Hawke) investigating an old castle for a ghost, hidden treasure…
I liked the heroine Meredith…a psychologist who believes in the possibility of ghosts. I thought it was cute that she had an addiction to her favorite soap opera. Jackson was also likable. He was an American P.I., handsome, easy-going, and he doesn’t believe in ghosts...but eventually he may change his mind!
Enjoyable Harlequin Intrigue with a spooky castle, secret passageways, murder, and a crazy killer.
